Chapter 160 Hard Work

As the two girls were busy, rather the three girls now! In spite of Ashely taking place of her languid mom, Alex also went in and grabbed his apron too, then swiftly came and took Anna's position.

The two tired women went to the manager room to have some rest and have some drinks.

It was pretty exhausting, as they were always used to few customers here and there, and never expected a raid today! Fortunately, Alex and Ashley came to rescue, making the cashier machine filled up with cash and the store bank account revenues increasing.

It happened rapidly, but Alex didn't forget to check on his girls and talk to them. It was also to replace the tedious mood caused by the repeatative flirty lines the charmed female customers flooded his ears.

Mary and Anna soon came back to help a little here and there, but Ashely and Alex took the main job, as the store was relatively small and two people were enough to maintain it.

"Oooofff! That's was the last one!"

After a couple of hours, Ashley let out a deep sigh. She never thought in her life serving as a cashier could be this wearying, but today she found this torme bynt, but a blessing in disguise, as they got more revenues than all previous days combined!

The ad confirmed to be absolutely successful. Since it was just a convenience store, people get easily hooked up and come to it to buy their day-to-day life necessities. Anyone passes could be a potential customer, even just for purchasing candy and sweets.

That was the main advantage that resulted this successful busy day, which all of them agree it would be the new routine from now on. At least at evening hours.

"Good job y'all! Especially you, darling, oh gosh! I can't imagine how you keep your cool talking with those annoying girls and old women. You think they come in and take the line just to buy a chocolate bar! No, It's obviously to flirt with you, geez"

While sitting on a wooden chair near the wall at the back of the cashier counter desk, Anna with a worn out expression as well spoke.

Sitting beside her was Mary, who was sighing deeply too, but with a proud smile. She was content and happy her condition is already changing.

With the help of the kind "Angels" around her, she smiled warmly, yet soon, averting her face away to the side, away from the three of them eyes.

"Mommy, are you crying? What's wrong??"

Despite she made sure she hid her face, Ashely quickly caught her, asking with a confused worried expression, resulting Mary to return her face back, after noticeably wiping it with her hand.

"No, I'm not crying, I'm just happy I'm finally moving forward"

Smiling gently like an angel and trying to hide her crying face, in spite of the corners of her eyes being moist. It was just an exhausting busy work day for the three, but for the mom who lived in hell since she turned 17 years old, it wasn't pesky at all compared to all the suffering she went through.

Rather it was like a happy day. Though she was tired physically, her soul was finally reviving. It started came to life since the day she met Alex and it just kept getting brighter and brighter. Nonetheless, she was yet to be at ease when it comes to her financial life, but today gave her hope.

Despite splitting the rent with Alex over their luxurious apartment, it felt heavy as a mountain, as she still had a loan, which she took to buy and furniture the store. It was a load of responsibility. Of course, without mentioning their living cost and daily needs...

However, today, a glimpse of hope sparkled in her golden eyes, causing her to involuntarily tear up. Her precious daughter, Ashely, came closer with slightly moist eyes too.

Out of the blue, she went on her knees and strongly tightly squeezed her in her embrace, causing Mary's eyes to open wide, but arms to wrap back around her daughter's back.

"We are with you"

Another two arms wrapped around the two from the side, surrounded around the two's backs. Anna who was sitting beside Mary, hugged the two of them with a calm expression. Mary have already narrated to her what happened before.

'You should also go have a hug! It's important'

While Alex tenderly gazed down at his girls hugging warmly all together, but Liza's sweet voice urged him to go squeeze his arms around them too, and so he did! Coming from the side too, he squeezed tight all of the three of them.

The four all colled eachother, especially Mary, who silently sobbed in het daughter's chest. They stayed like that for about ten minutes, before the hard-working mother calmed down. Fortunately, no customer entered in that period, otherwise they would have ruined such an emotional moment.

"Thank you all, I'm so happy to have you around me"

After leaning back to her chair backrest, looking at the three good-looking faces surrounding her from all sides, Mary spoke with a genuine relief smile, while her eyes were a little damp.

"Good job, we are just starting, so save up some tears until we solve all our problems"

Retuning her smile back. Alex calmly stood up and said with a nod. He was aware of Mary's debt and today was just the beginning! Still, it deserved that little emotional time.

"Yes, that's right, darling! But I think it's enough for today, it's already 8 pm, and we all tired, so let's wrap it for today, I guess~"

Anna also stood up with an excited face, but letting out a cute little yawn. Before she was just sympathetic with Mary and Ashely for going through lots of difficult times, but now she felt responsible too, as she basically considered them as her own sisters.

"Yes, I also think it's enough today. You should go, Anna, we all should go and rest for tomorrow, mommy"

Now all the three of them stood up, urging Mary to stand up too with giggles, and so she did with a smile and a faint approval nod. Though, she usually doesn't close up until 9pm, today it was exceptional.

"Yeah that's right, I'm sorry, guys, I need to go now. I have some problems with my mom and I'm already late for her, I can't stand her stupid nagging anymore"

Anna already took off her apron and said apologizedly, coming closer to her darling with lively eyes, standing on her toes and swirly smooching his lips cutely, then silently leave the store like a ghost, making all of them speechless.

She already told Alex before of her horrible relationship with her mom and the fact she threatened her to kick her out of her house multiple times, and she wouldn't mind using any stupid excuses to reason that.

So obviously, she was worried of becoming homeless because of being late at work, although she was an adult now. Unfortunately, the house wasn't hers.

"Well, we gotta go too. I will walk with you"

After removing their aprons and while Mary further checked her store, listing the needed items, pulling out the earned money and putting it in a safe, and doing more check ups with the two helpers, which took quite a decent time.

But after, Alex's voice resounded and with a gentle smile, he offered them a company to their new house.

"Yayy! Thanks, Daddy, let's go!"

Hearing that Ashley happily exclaimed. Certainly she had an amazing day with her Daddy today, and still had the opportunity to spend more time with him.

Mary's face also had happiness well-visable, while holding a fur coat in her arm, which she's used to wear when going outside. They all went out eventually after.

The streets were filled with people as it was just around 8 Pm. The cold night breeze hit all three of them face like everyone else, but that didn't stop the two girls from happily chatting with Alex, while making their way to their home.

Mostly talking about each one's day. Ashely couldn't help, but mention her first outdoor experience, which left Mary dumbfounded, embarrassed, but happy. Luckily, Ashely didn't say anything about the supernatural things.

They kept lively chatting about different subject for about 15 minutes, which was the amount of time to reach their apartment walking slowly. They entered to the apartment buildings area, almost to their, but Alex's phone started ringing!

Pulling it out of his pocket, looking at the caller ID, and finding that it was Anna! Ashley and Mary poked their heads to see and were curious as Alex after seeing the caller.

"Hello, Anna, what's up?"

Since it was his girl, Alex didn't wish to delay anymore. He hit the receive button and swung his phone to his ear, just to hear a clearly gloomy sad voice after.

[Hey, Darling... I'm sorry for calling you suddenly, I just had an argument with my mom and she seriously kicked me out of the house. I have no where to go...]
