Chapter 356: How Strong is the Main Character?

“Might as well pocket them all…” Compass Carburettor muttered as he waved his hand, sending every item in the place into his Dimensional Space. He could later slowly sort through them all. At present, he didn’t wish to leave anything to Ranze.

The only reason he hadn’t interfered with Ranze was to use him and obtain any items he desired from secret Realms that might open in the future. But, that didn’t mean he would leave behind anything for Ranze, not items that might help him.

After all, he would next have to use the materials to refine pills to feed Stencil and help her grow stronger. Moreover, he also had to create a way for her to awaken a suitable Martial Spirit.

All in all, he needed as many materials as necessary. So, he wasn’t willing to even leave behind any dust particles, intending to wipe the ruins clean of every item of worth.

He had just wiped the place clean when suddenly, Compass Carburettor’s heart thumped at alarming speeds, alerting him as sweat filled his forehead.

His Anthozoa pulsed erratically, warning him of tremendous danger. Moreover, unlike before, he was clearly able to perceive when and where the danger originated from, ‘Is this the ability of the Main Character?’

He gazed upwards, instinctively waving his hand before noticing the sense of danger vanish.

In the System World, the Coincidental Luck System had already determined the world he had entered. And now, it had condensed a portal to spy on his activities and learn of his abilities.

But, the moment it condensed a portal to gaze using his point of view, Compass Carburettor was suddenly alerted. And when he looked up and waved his hand instinctively, a mysterious energy gushed out of his body before cutting off the connection.

“He’s already begun to use the Main Character’s power.” The Coincidental Luck System frowned, “From now on, it’s impossible to create a portal to see him.”

“Damn you, why did you peek into him so hurriedly?” The Destiny Luck System groaned, “Until now, he hadn’t been alerted of it. But from now onwards, he should be able to sense us the moment we try to look at him from the System World.”

“There’s a reason I alerted him. So don’t be stupid.” The Coincidental Luck System didn’t pay it any heed, saying, “Stencil Carburettor has suffered an attack to her mind from Secret Schemer System. And considering his character, healing her would be all that’s on his mind. And with his methods, what do you think would healing her mean?”

“…The birth of another Main Character.” The Destiny Luck System muttered.

“Great, it seems you’re not entirely an idiot yet.” The Coincidental Luck System laughed upon seeing its pissed expression, continuing, “And now that I’ve alerted him, he has no other choice but to prepare for us too. With his attention split, he wouldn’t be able to cure Stencil Carburettor fast enough.”

“That’ll give us enough time to prepare accordingly. And most of all…” It grinned, “When we hit that cultivation world with the Restriction Order, all his preparations would become useless. We’ll truly corner him and deal with him.”

“Restriction Order? Are you mad?” The Happy-Go-Lucky System shouted in shock, “That’ll practically make us sitting ducks!”

“You’re too weak, so you don’t understand the dangers of the Main Character.” The Coincidental Luck System snorted in displeasure, stating, “Why do you think a Grade 2 System takes action the moment a System Slayer reaches Level 50?”

“Isn’t it just to prevent the Main Character System from reviving?” The Happy-Go-Lucky said.

“Bullshit,” The Coincidental Luck System said, “Had you seen a Main Character before, then you wouldn’t state such a foolish answer.”

“Don’t act cocky, you freaking deer…”

“I’ve seen a Main Character before.” The Coincidental Luck System said solemnly, shutting up all the Systems that had intended to argue with it.

Slowly, it walked, arriving at a boulder before climbing atop it, gazing at the sky as it slowly unleashed its ability, creating a barrier of sorts to ensure what it said wasn’t heard by anyone else.

This was despite the area they were at in the System World was its exclusive property, something that was impossible for other Systems to enter without its permission. It showed that even the Coincidental Luck System, the strongest among the Systems in the Luck Genre was careful.

Slowly, the Coincidental Luck System spoke, “Once a True System Slayer reaches Level 50, the fragment of the Main Character System in them truly awakens. It instantly destroys the bodies of every System in the True Slayer’s mind. Moreover, it also destroys all the Core Skills before recondensing them mysteriously to make them its own power. That’s the frightening aspect of a Main Character’s birth.”

“So, the moment they hit level 50, they turn into Main Characters. And, they are strong, freakishly strong.” The legs of the Coincidental Luck System mildly trembled, shocking the rest to see it display fear for the first time, “The Main Character is capable of surpassing his league and even winning against someone from a higher league. This is a commonly seen trope in stories, but in fact, it’s a reality.”

“It’s not that Grade 2 Systems have a personal vendetta to take action immediately or anything.” The Coincidental Luck System said, “It’s because, a Grade 2 System is necessary to kill a level 50 Main Character. No Grade 1 System is capable of killing them. Instead, if they tried, they would be refined and made into the Main Character’s power.”

“It’ll be like adding fuel to fire.”

“Are they that strong?” The Destine Luck System asked.

“Yes,” The Coincidental Luck System nodded, “The reason the Main Character System is hated so much isn’t because of its abilities that are broken even among us. But, it’s because of this…”

“The Main Character System wasn’t birthed by the System World. That’s the difference between us and it.” It spoke.

“And that’s why, if left alone, we’ll all be destroyed by the Main Character System.”
