Chapter 363: Giving Guidance
Once a Host arrived at the System World, his/her System can choose to extract itself from their body. The Host wouldn’t die even after the System leaves the Host body.
Though, if the Host remained there for long, they would be destroyed by the laws of the System World.
So, Compass Carburettor was aware that the System in Straxia’s body could be extracted as a Luck-Based System could enter her next.
With all System based abilities sealed, irrespective of what System it was in the Host that had arrived in the Gaider Realm, there would be no difference whether the System was in them or not.
But, Luck-based Systems were different. There should be a way for them to raise the innate luck of the Host. This way, they would be tremendously lucky even after their System abilities were sealed.
This was the advantage of the Luck-based Systems, so only they should be coming after him now.
This also led him to conclude something else: None from the Gaider Realm would become a System Host.
That meant that his plans could also be done accordingly, ‘They’ll first need some time to adapt to this world and then cultivate just like me. They shouldn’t have arrived just yet. Or even if they did, they won’t have enough resources. Though, due to the innate support of their respective luck, they’ll soon obtain a lot of resources and abilities.’
‘I’ll have to hurry and get stronger first. Thankfully, I have the Mind Frog.’ He smiled as he looked at Grisha, noticing that she had bound the two Origin Beasts using an energy blade. They had already been knocked out by her. “Can you open the portal to Xuer?”
“Yes,” Grisha nodded, double-checking to ensure the Origin Beasts wouldn’t wake up for the time being as she retracted her energy blade and entered his Dimensional Space, condensing a portal to Xuer as she observed to ensure that she was alone.
She then appeared beside Xuer, startling the other party. But, Xuer didn’t shout, already aware of their arrival thanks to the Spydragon before her.
Immediately following Grisha was Compass Carburettor as he sent her into the Dimensional Space. After that, she returned to their original location, monitoring the two captured Origin Beasts.
“I remember seeing you at the banquet yesterday…” Xuer nodded in surprise before asking, “You’re…Lord Gahrat?”
“Yep,” Compass Carburettor nodded, “Time is running short, so I’ll keep things simple. I thought of taking Ranze as my disciple, but I won’t be able to anymore.”
“Did…something happen?” Xuer asked, trying to sense his cultivation but only noticing that he was a mortal. It made her curious about the extent of his strength, since he had appeared before her mysteriously and also wielded other powers.
“The Giant Whale Sect Master wants to marry you into his Clan, as you’ll definitely become a powerhouse. But, since you like Ranze, things would become awkward for him in the future as the ruling power of the Giant Whale Sect wouldn’t be the Giant Whale Clan once you take over.” Compass Carburettor spoke.
“T-This…I’ll refuse that…” Xuer said before she shut up, noticing a blatantly obvious expression of disdain and mockery from Compass Carburettor, a gaze that showed him looking at something that was the definition of refined idiocrasy.
“Don’t be an idiot.” He sighed before saying, “The Giant Whale Sect would be investing in you heavily. And they’ll do everything in their power to rope you into their fold, even forcing you against your wishes.”
“Or, if force doesn’t work, they’ll guilt-trip you. And to make way for that, they already planned to kill Ranze.” He said, watching Xuer stand up in shock, flustered. But, upon being glared at by him, she slowly came to realise.
Of course, since he was telling her this now, Ranze would of course be safe, bowing as she said gratefully, “Thanks for saving him.”
“I didn’t save him. He’s smart enough to save himself.” Compass Carburettor said, not exposing the fact that Ranze was a reincarnator. That was up to the concerned person to deal with, whether he wished to reveal it in the future or take the secret to his grave.
Compass Carburettor planned to support her growth and make her mature a bit faster. Only then would she be useful in their upcoming fight. After all, he was already planning to pull Ranze into it.
As the sole Divine Martial Spirit holder in the Gaider Realm, he was the necessary edge Compass Carburettor needed to survive.
He then took out a spatial pouch, giving it to her, “Contained in it is enough Essence Stones for your cultivation. I also placed two Origin Arts there. One is the Human Grade Origin Art related to the crane while the other is the Earth Grade Origin Art related to ice. Unfortunately, I don’t have a suitable Heaven Grade Origin Art, so you’ll have to make do with this.”
“If you wish to protect him in the future, grow stronger quickly. Use the Giant Whale Sect for your benefit.” Compass Carburettor said, “And, stop being as naïve and gullible as you are now. The Sect Master and Elder Galda had already attempted to claim Ranze’s life.”
“And, in the future, it just wouldn’t be the Giant Whale Sect alone. As he’s the sole possessor of a Divine Martial Spirit, the enemies he would be facing would be blessed by the luck of heavens.” He concluded.
“Luck of the heavens?” Xuer asked, shocked.
“Yes, they’ll obtain benefits even if they pick up a pebble from the side of the road.” He said before focusing on her, pinching her cheeks, “You should hide your emotions and put on an act whenever necessary.”
“Look at a mirror and try your best. To be as natural as possible, start by thinking that you’re not lying no matter the extent of the lies you bullshit. Observe their facial muscles, subtle body language, posture, tone, etc. when they converse with one another, roam through the streets, buy something, or engage in a battle.” Compass Carburettor said, “That’s how you’ll stop being an open book like now.”
He then pointed at the Spydragon, “You can converse with Ranze through it. I also left a few Trash Origin Arts for him with you.”
As Xuer got excited at the prospect, Compass Carburettor condensed an energy blade sword, handing it to her, “Tomorrow, there would be an auction for a palm-sized item of the same variety. It’s vastly inferior to this sword. Use this as a weapon, if necessary, but don’t reveal it to anyone. And when you reach the Martial Origin Stage, fuse with it. That’ll elevate your powers to the extreme.”
