Chapter 390: Mind Origin Arts
Once he planted the seed of Sleeper Cell in the patient, Compass Carburettor slowly made him conscious while the staff cleaned up the place of the blood and the severed arm.
“This is…?” Once he got up, the patient was surprised to see an intact arm in place, clenching it as tears streamed out of his eyes, causing him to profusely thank Compass Carburettor, “Thank you, Lord!”
“I’m just doing my duty.” Compass Carburettor smiled, noticing that the patient was able to properly use his new-grown arm. He wasn’t feeling any trauma.
Well, that was thanks to him as Compass Carburettor had destroyed the emotions of trauma in the patient’s mind that was related to the injury. Due to that, he could go about his life without much trouble.
The greater the injury, the stronger the trauma related to that, one that might permanently scar the person’s mind. And his primary work was to ensure they were able to overcome that.
Though, overcome wasn’t the right word here as Compass Carburettor destroyed the trauma in their minds to the extent their natural mental strength was able to overcome the remainder. So, he was reducing the difficulty bar.
In the end, it wasn’t as if everyone wished to grow strong through adversaries, especially ones that only caused them years of endless grief. So, they too wished to overcome that.
For him, it made things easier.
“Is that all for today?” Compass Carburettor asked the staff after sending away the patient.
“The Opposition Clan Head wishes to meet you next.” The staff said, “He’s currently waiting in the guest room.”
“Tell him I’ll be there in ten minutes.” Compass Carburettor said as he changed his dress, wearing a clean set of clothes that was free of bloodstains and the scent of blood.
He then walked through the corridor, looking through the courtyard as he observed staff members going around, carrying herbs with them to various departments.
It couldn’t be called a hospital if there was only one doctor. Hence, the Opposition Clan spent a lot of money to hire experts of medicine from various cities that were unaffiliated with any organisation, giving them lucrative terms.
They were there to treat diseases, illnesses, and the like. Moreover, if someone had an injured organ that was failing, doctors were required to operate on such an individual.
Compass Carburettor only arrived at the end and regenerated a new organ, leaving the rest to the team of doctors to patch up the patient. This was how they were able to go through a lot of patients daily that had arrived after hearing about his exploits.
After all, in the Gaider Realm where fights were abundant, injuries and loss of limbs were plenty. Hence, doctors were always in demand.
As the Opposition Clan had heavily invested in his hospital, their payment was that whenever a Clansmen arrived to consult him, he’ll give them priority. It was pretty simple.
“Sorry, Clan Leader. Did I make you wait for long?” Compass Carburettor asked upon entering the guest room, noticing the figure of Into seated behind a straw table, sipping some herbal tea.
“Time is of no concern to me, Doctor Hazen.” Into smiled, pointing at Compass Carburettor’s face, “Also, can you remove your mask? I feel somewhat nervous while staring at that.”
“Ahh, alright.” Compass Carburettor nodded and removed his mask. He wore one to protect his identity, which was strictly confidential.
After all, despite him being young now, his appearance hadn’t changed all that much. So, it’ll be easy for Chenger to recognise him if she spots him, same for the people under her control who would have learnt of his appearance by now.
That was why he wore a mask. At present, only a few people from the Opposition Clan had seen his face. The rest had only seen him three years ago when he arrived at the Clan. That wasn’t enough to remember his appearance, since only a few guards and young master Fonter had seen him.
“I’m planning to attempt a breakthrough tonight.” Into said, “And, I’m not feeling entirely confident. I don’t wish to waste the Providence Pills we obtained.”
“I understand.” Compass Carburettor nodded, “I’ll help treat you and raise your chances to reach the Martial Providence Stage to the maximum.”
He slowly got up, motioning for Into to lie down as he lit up an incense, using the aroma to gradually make Into fall asleep.
Origin Arts—Ming Connect!
He didn’t do anything until then, only maintaining connection as he observed the surface level chaos in Into’s mind.
Once Into fell asleep, the surface level chaos reduced a bit in magnitude as Compass Carburettor slowly arrived before it, observing the thoughts and memories.
He made contact with a piece of memory, instantly able to experience a part of Into’s life. If he wanted, he would be able to go through all secrets of the Opposition Clan through Into’s memories, which he did, slowly filtering out Into’s fears, uneasiness, uncertainty, and a lack of confidence regarding his breakthrough.
Origin Arts—Mental Destruction!
All the negative emotions, feelings, and thoughts that were holding back Into were destroyed. Moreover, Compass Carburettor also instilled some more confidence in him, further adding a couple train of thoughts that were necessary for his breakthrough.
These train of thoughts would aid Into at the critical moment, allowing him to clinch the opportunity and attain the Martial Providence Stage.
Compass Carburettor spent a total of three hours fixing up everything in Into’s mind. This wasn’t the first time he was doing something like this, though it was the first time for someone attempting to break through to the Martial Providence Stage.
He had precedence in helping cultivators breakthrough to reach the Martial Origin Stage, having helped a few dozen cultivators already. That was why Into was confident in approaching him.
“It’s done!” Compass Carburettor said, waking up Into, asking, “How do you feel?”
“I feel…refreshed.” Into said, his eyes bright as compared to before, “My mind feels clear and my thought process is damn focused. You’re indeed a wondrous doctor!”
“I’m confident in completing the breakthrough!”
