Chapter 493 Hitting a New Low

"Kyaaa!" A certain youth shrieked in surprise when a large slab of ice slammed into the ground next to him, breaking upon impact while making an impression on the ground.

The youth gazed upwards in shock, noticing dark clouds that had blanketed out the sun, beginning to rain down large blocks of ice nonstop.

Hailstorm!

"Kieee!" The youth screamed as he tried to run towards a shelter to protect himself from the hailstorm when he slipped on the ground, flinching when a piece of ice slammed on the ground before him.

Had he been standing, then it would have crashed into his head. His slip up ended up saving his life.

Of course, he was Gallo, the System Host that had been sent to the Gaider Realm in advance before everyone else.

Gallo looked around, noticing that he was situated in a vast stretch of grassland with no end in sight. The ground was almost plain, lacking any places to hide from the hailstorm, leaving him no other option but to endure the attacks and hope he survived.

Bang!

A block of ice slammed into his shoulder, causing him to scream in pain as he collapsed to the ground, rolling around in pain. But as for the injury to his shoulder, it had healed instantly. But, the pain was still around, causing him to suffer.

He rolled, tripped, surprisingly avoided most blows, and suffered some really horrifying blows, with one of them landing on his family jewels, knocking him out.

Though, a hit to the face jolted him awake. Soon after, Gallo began to weep in pain, "I don't want to live here. God! Save me!"

Though, there was no reply to his prayer as the sounds of the blocks of ice slamming into the ground were the sole sounds here.

There was not a single silhouette in sight. After all, there truly was no one else within the Reality Marble.

It was six months since the creation of the Academy; it was finally the opening day. Compass Carburettor hosted a grand celebratory event to welcome everyone that had participated.

And among them was Gallo, one that had placed fourth in the final rankings. Of course, the rankings changed a little during the general test conducted to the open public.

Ranze had participated in it, obtaining a score of 894, vastly superior as compared to Bunuela and Xuer. Of course, he had the Trash Divine Spirit, not to mention being the protagonist of the Cultivation World.

So, such an accomplishment was a staggering result, shocking every leader to see someone that vastly outperformed everyone else. So, he placed first, followed by Bunuela, Xuer, and Gallo.

Since he was curious, Compass Carburettor made Grisha go through the test too, surprised to see her score 855, almost on par with Ranze.

Once all the events in the opening ceremony were concluded, the students were allotted to their respective rooms in the Academy City where they would be living for the next five years.

When Gallo entered his room, he suddenly found himself on this wide grassland where a hailstorm began soon after, leading to the current sequence of events.

Buckled on the ground, making himself as small as possible, Gallo continued to cry, noticing his Origin Essence reserves continue to deplete every time he was injured.

He had the Haven Martial Spirit—Mystic Chameleon. It allowed him to heal himself instantly while also giving him the ability to transform into anything he so desired, living or non-living.

Gallo transformed himself into a rock, using the rock's hardness to resist the hailstorm. But his powers only allowed him to transform into things in his surroundings. Meaning, the rock he transformed into was pretty weak, for the scant few rocks in the Reality Marble slowly began to turn brittle.

Of course, it was Compass Carburettor that was adjusting things based on how Gallo's power worked.

He was curious as to why only Gallo was sent to the Gaider Realm to disrupt his plans and why not more. And thanks to that, he trapped Gallo in the Reality Marble, ensuring there weren't any variables his luck could take advantage of.

But, Gallo's actions truly surprised him. For, he never once retaliated or even thought of anything sensible. He was like a chicken that mindlessly escaped from any problems that came his way.

And surprisingly, his luck wasn't that strong as compared to the other System Hosts. For, it failed many times, forcing Gallo into near-death situations.

If not for him having a healing ability, he would have died dozens of times by now. But, all that ended as soon after, Gallo ran out of Origin Essence, no longer able to heal himself as he continued to suffer more and more severe injuries.

The more he watched Gallo's actions, the more Compass Carburettor frowned, finally stopping the hailstorm when Gallo was on the verge of death, sending in a Cultivation World version of himself.

The Cultivation World Compass Carburettor landed before Gallo, asking, "Why are you lying out here? Do you have a death wish?"

"I…I…I couldn't see a way out…" Gallo gasped for air, coughing as words leaked out of his mouth, seemingly as if the final words of a man on his deathbed.

"You could have dug a hole to bury yourself." Compass Carburettor snorted, saying in displeasure.

"I don't want to…" Gallo said, beginning to cry immediately, "Even the grass is alive. I don't want to hurt them."

Compass Carburettor gazed at Gallo's expression, experiencing a surreal feeling, sensing that something was indeed amiss here. For, based on his experience, he judged that everything Gallo said until now was the truth.

But, it just didn't make any sense. Rather, his character, appearance, actions, etc. none of which made sense given the context of the situation. He just seemed like someone that shouldn't have been here in the first place.

Finally, unable to determine any answers, Compass Carburettor frowned, connecting with Gallo's mind. As they were within the Reality Marble, Gallo wouldn't actually die. So, he wasn't concerned.

But, the moment he connected with his mind and gazed at the entity sleeping inside, rage enveloped him as Compass Carburettor cursed, "You DAMN FUCKER!"
