Chapter 529 Battle of Deities It was a blatant scheme from the start by the Coincidental Luck System that had already garnered favour from two Grade 2 Systems to be fostered upon and nurtured into the next Grade 2 System.
After all, in terms of wit, ability, capability, and adaptability, the Coincidental Luck System was at the top of its Genre.
The only realistic rival it had was the Destiny Luck System. And, when Chenger had been killed, all of Destiny Luck flowed into Straxia, causing the Destiny Luck System to rapidly form there.
This was their actual arrangement. After all, Straxia was a suitable Host to all the Luck-based Systems. She was a suitable Host to a variety of Systems in fact.
Hence, they had enacted this scheme. And that was to take advantage of this fight against the Main Character, using it as a tribulation to fuel their growth and become stronger rapidly.
After all, in the Gaider Realm, when Compass Carburettor had yet to release the effects of the Restriction Order on himself, he was rendered pretty defenceless. His Mental Energy constantly flowed into his opponents.
And in the Cultivation World where their powers were suppressed, so were their requirements to grow, as growth was deemed impossible here thanks to the Restriction Order.
And here, the Mental Energy supplied by the Main Character was akin to nectar that allowed them to grow at a staggering pace.
And, all the Luck-based Systems had modified their Hosts to ensure their individualities resided in Straxia. Basically, all Mental Energy directed at them would eventually flow into Straxia.
That wasn't all. All the Systems too would eventually end up there, to fight for the throne.
This was why the Destiny Luck System became one of the first batches of Systems to fight the Main Character. After all, if it won, it would obtain all the benefits itself.
But even if it failed, it would appear within Straxia the earliest, basking on the Mental Energy supplied by the Main Character.
The various Luck-based Systems didn't fight at that time though but waited patiently. They were patient until Straxia began her breakthrough to the Martial Providence Stage.
This was what signalled their battle in her mind as the various Systems clashed with one another, tearing up their counterparts while using the Mental Energy from the Main Character as fuel for their expedition.
This resulted in them swallowing up each other, partly fusing with one another, etc. resulting in a victor that was mostly a mix of the Coincidental Luck System, the Destiny Luck System, and splotches of the rest.
The dominant one was the Coincidental Luck System, resulting in its mind forming the majority of the newly created System, eventually resulting in it becoming the victor.
This resulted in it becoming the Luck System, wielding control over all forms of Luck, including the three remaining Luck that was in the hands of Lota, Ikun, and Morlacle.
Once they too were devoured, the Luck System would complete its evolution. And since it had drunk onto the Mental Energy supplied by the Main Character for years, it would become the strongest among Grade 2 Systems—post-evolution.
It was not to mention that it had more advantages than other Grade 2 Systems. After all, it was nurtured with the Main Character's Mental Energy.
This was the truth of their grand plan, one to use the Main Character to temper and fuel their growth into the strongest king of Grade 2 Systems, the reason they were given the go-ahead in the first place.
Otherwise, as mandatory, at least a couple of Grade 2 Systems would jump into the vanguard against the Main Character.
The Coincidental Luck System had promised and convinced the other Grade 2 Systems that in this way, the resultant Grade 2 Luck System would have better means to fight against the Main Characters in the future.
So honestly, they were all in on the plan from the start, forcing all the other Luck-based Systems to cooperate with the Coincidental Luck System's meticulous arrangements.
And somehow, it ended up as the victor, solving all its problems and also attaining what it desired.
Their battle had destroyed Straxia's mind. So, the Luck System was the one controlling her all along, having fully taken over her body.
It was because the burden of shouldering the Luck System was so high that her mind gave out voluntarily. After all, a Grade 2 System, even though the Luck System had yet to become one, was close to that level. And it wasn't something a single Host could bear.
With the destruction of her mind, her body too followed suit. But, the Luck System harnessed its power of Luck to slow down the process, ensuring that her body would hold up until the Apocalypse World looped.
"As expected of the Main Character. You're damn sharp." The middle-aged lady smirked, stating derisively, "But, what will you do now? Even if you've managed to free yourself partly from the control of the Restriction Order, it doesn't matter in the end."
"You've yet to fully break free from the net. And that's enough for us." She smiled gently, "Using the Restriction Order to kill the Main Characters. Such irony."
B-Boom!
Suddenly, the world behind her became tinted with a shade of blue as dozens of portals appeared, with thick lightning bolts flickering across everything.
One of them lashed out, slamming into Compass Carburettor, causing a thundering sound as it raised a lot of smoke.
But behind it, standing firmly was Compass Carburettor. And hovering before him was a Darlac Energy Blade, one that shared in response to the attack but ensured he remained uninjured.
Slowly, tens of thousands of feathers exited his back, coiling through the skies like ginormous snakes, hissing as they glared at the portals, staring at the countless powerhouses seated within, channelling all their lightning into one to make it a unified power capable of sundering heaven and earth.
And upon seeing the snakes formed by the coalition of burst element feathers, the lightning bolts formed by the collective within the Velar Secret Realm exited as lightning snakes.
Hiss!
Boom!
Followed by a stalemate as both sides—the feathered snake and the lightning snake—stared at one another for almost a minute, a spark that flickered between them. And immediately after, the two sides collided fiercely, resulting in an exchange akin to a battle of the Gods.
