Chapter 570 Three System Slayers in One Place? "Hello there, I saw you while you were leaving the market and couldn't help but notice the earring you had bought." Fourth flashed a wry smile, "It's something belonging to my ancestors, so I hope you can return it to me."
He then waved his hand, "Of course, I'll pay the appropriate price."
'That's a pretty straightforward approach.' Compass Carburettor thought as he looked at Fourth, noticing how the other party's appearance hadn't changed by much.
He then took out the earring, squinting as he gazed at it, quoting a price calmly, "Seventy Royal Xetuka."
"What?" Fourth blurted out in shock, unable to believe his ears of the price he heard.
It was a large sum enough to set up a company in the capital city itself. And here he was, asking for such a sum.
"I believe you know its actual value." Compass Carburettor let out a knowing smile, "Otherwise, why would you bother to chase after us first instead of buying the remaining items from that old man? After all, it seems all items with him have been dug out from the same grave."
At his words, Fourth's expression gradually hardened as he stated coldly, "Do you know what's in it?"
"No idea, but I can guess its value, which is all one needs to sell it." Compass Carburettor replied, pocketing the earring as he stared at Fourth with a knowing smile, "So, what shall be your option? Pay us? Or fail to rob us?"
'Is this guy provoking me?' Fourth thought, snorting as he thought of eliminating the smug dude before suddenly, he halted such thoughts, 'No, for the thing that would happen next, I need to be as discreet as possible. If they know of this, then I would lose my advantage.'
He sighed, taking out a bag from out of nowhere as he placed it before Compass Carburettor, "Seventy Royal Xetuka. You can check it."
"That won't be necessary." Compass Carburettor smiled as he tossed the earring to Fourth and didn't even touch the bag of money.
"You don't…want the money?" Fourth was surprised, tensing up a little as he was unable to guess the other party's thoughts.
"Money isn't necessary. You can keep it. In return, show us what it's capable of." Stencil spoke at this time, smiling as she looked at the earring, "This is the first time I've seen such an item. So, I'm curious about what it is."
"No, keep the money." Saying so, Fourth left the bag of cash as-is and began to walk, intending to exit the restaurant.
But right at this time, a certain figure appeared before him, coincidentally entering the restaurant, coming across Fourth as both the figures stared at one another in silence for a good couple of minutes.
[Did you activate your Luck, brat?]
[A…little?]
Compass Carburettor sighed, staring at Stencil's face that cutely stretched out a tongue. Of course, she wished to see a drama enfold so that they could get to know more about Fourth and the earring.
The earring was pretty strange and most of all, information regarding it didn't exist in the Astral Network. This could only mean that this information was purposefully erased.
Or maybe the Systems in possession of that information either died or didn't wish to reveal it.
Hence, she was curious. This was why she activated her Happy-Go-Lucky Luck, surprised to see it take effect so quickly.
And the best thing of all, the moment she gazed at the newcomer, Stencil was unable to hide her shock, for the newcomer was also a System Slayer.
[No, it seems there are more than a couple of System Slayers here.]
Compass Carburettor communicated with her, expanding his senses as he found one more System Slayer roaming through the flea market, tracing Stencil's steps as she seemed to be looking for the same crystal that Stencil had bought.
[Dad, I feel like things might get somewhat…murky?]
[Yeah, be ready. It seems there's a deeper reason for so many System Slayers to be here, that too in a small city like this.]
"Faluda…?" The newcomer gazed at Fourth, muttering in surprise, "You're here too?"
"Didn't you say you'll only be arriving a month later?" Fourth, addressed as Faluda said, taking a step back while frowning, "What are you planning now, Felladin?"
"Oh, come on." The one addressed as Felladin rolled his eyes, "The one I was chasing returned to the System World a month earlier. You couldn't just expect me to wait there, right?"
He then glared, "And, what's up with you? This is a human kingdom. Why is a Demon like you here?"
"Demon?"
"Did someone mention a Demon?"
"Where? Where's the Demon?"
Felladin's voice was pretty loud, reaching the ears of the customers that panicked as a result.
In their Fantasy World, racial conflict was damn high, having existed for tens of thousands of years. Their entire history involved conflicts between various races.
Of course, not all places were like that as there were Kingdoms where all races lived among one another…not peacefully, of course. But they lived there despite everything.
The Xetuka Kingdom wasn't such a place. It has existed as a human supremacy territory since its founding, remaining as such throughout the years, never tolerating anyone from the foreign races setting foot in their Kingdom, rightfully so.
And hence, the moment Felladin's words reached everyone, the restaurant became somewhat chaotic.
Faluda—Fourth—frowned at the response, aware that Felladin had purposefully spoken aloud. It was because both of them weren't on good terms with one another.
And surprisingly, both of them originated from this world, with Faluda coming from a Demon Kingdom while Felladin originated from their neighbour, a human Kingdom.
Both of them had a shared history of conflict and hence, these two, that had been System Hosts at that time, did the same, clashing with one another.
Eventually, the conflict became deeply intertwined between the two Kingdoms until they almost crippled each other, leading to no other choice but to declare a truce and hastily set up peace relations.
The two of them were brought to the System World at this point when they were rescued by a passing System Slayer and turned into System Slayers themselves.
