Chapter 582 An Exchange of Words "Is this the place?" Compass Carburettor asked, pointing at a house far away.
"Yes…I think so." Gehera nodded, "That's what I found out before. But, I'm not sure if the one I'm searching for is even there."
"It can't be helped then. Let's take a closer look under the cover of the night." Compass Carburettor replied. Currently, they were on the terrace of a house, using the heigh to scout through the area.
They didn't enter the alleyways, instead booking a lodge nearby with access to the terrace.
The one they were looking for was a middle-aged man named Luthak, a Master Warrior wielding the Water Element. He was a drug dealer and also traded organs, typically of the human race, selling them to the Giants, Birdmen, and Lizardmen races.
After all, such races loved to dine on human organs. But most of all, some of their experiments also required the same as raw material, especially the organs of Masters; they were sold for a premium.
Such organs were infused with a dense stream of mana, making them valuable products. Luthak was a prolific dealer, a name known among various Kingdoms, and a merchant placed on the Xetuka Kingdom's kill list.
Gehera had been tailing for information regarding him for the past two years, barely managing to find traces in Tentuna City. As Luthak hardly stayed in a place for more than a couple of months, it was hard to track him.
But as a Novice Cartographer, she somehow managed to accomplish it. But, she hit her limit soon after. A Cartographer was incapable of fighting, so even if she found his location, she wasn't able to do anything.
Just the previous time, when she planned to approach his hiding spot, a random thug of Luthak's gang chanced upon her, and almost managed to kill her.
So, she couldn't do anything to him.
But now that she had met Compass Carburettor, things were different. With his help, she could eventually find information regarding her mother.
"But first," Compass Carburettor motioned for her to return to the room they had booked, stating as he stared at her, "There's a secret in you. Only by accessing it first will you have the strength to deal with this issue on your own."
"I have a hidden strength in me?" Gehera asked in surprise.
"Yes," Compass Carburettor nodded, "Or precisely, your Titan bloodline is the key to activating it. I can sense a mysterious item in you that's bonded to you. Once you manage to activate it, you'll be able to find more clues regarding everything."
"But, even if I have such a power dormant in me, how will I activate it?" Gehera asked, clenching her hand into a fist, "I can't feel anything different in myself."
"We can try a couple of methods." He said, motioning for her to remain seated, "Try meditating. That's the simplest method."
Gehera did as told, trying her best to concentrate, but after some time, she just fell…asleep. Compass Carburettor frowned, noticing that the Personal Fragment in her body didn't even budge or pulse.
'What will happen if I trigger her body's danger sense?' He thought, glaring at her sleeping face with the intent to kill, targeting the killing intent into her Personal Fragment itself.
Of course, nothing changed. If it was possible, she would have used it when her life was threatened by the thug before.
'So, that too is a no-go.' He thought, observing that Gehera wasn't even aware of what was happening, asleep.
'Can I influence it with my Personal Fragment?' He thought, probing through the Mental Energy he had collected from Gehera until now. All her thoughts about him were laid bare as he went through the memories there, extracting some relevant ones as he then looked at her, thinking about her, unleashing a Mental Energy stream into her.
He then opened his mouth, unleashing a Dragon Bullet that was condensed from Gehera's thoughts, causing it to swim through the Mental Energy stream and enter her body, swimming through her in an effort to find traces of her Titan Bloodline.
But, it was as if she was a mere human.
The Dragon Bullet turned into a serpent that gradually approached the Personal Fragment, spinning around it while probing it using Mental Energy pulses.
The Personal Fragment was strange, as if it was unanimated, not responding to any provocation.
After some time had passed, the serpent even slapped it using its tail, still failing to elicit any response.
Just as he planned to experiment further, the serpent-like dragon he had left behind in Stencil as a form of protection sensed Slayer's stream.
Once he understood the gist of the content, he sent a message to Slayer using a Mental Energy stream.
But, just to be careful, he exited the room and approached the staff in the reception, "Do you have some warm water?"
"Yes," The staff nodded.
"Can you bring it to my room?" He asked the man.
"Sure." The staff nodded as he looked at Compass Carburettor. And the same words were also relayed through his thought, as he was uttering the same word that resounded in his mind.
Compass Carburettor captured this thought and relayed this to Slayer. This way, even through the Mental Energy, nothing about him would be found out.
After all, it was best to exercise caution, especially against such an entity that he wasn't comfortable with meeting.
That was what his senses were telling him, his senses as the Main Character, causing him to be worried as Stencil was there, in the domain controlled by Slayer.
But, this would also serve as a valuable experience for her. After all, he couldn't always keep her safe. That would be like caging her.
Anyways, the dragon-like serpent in her would defend her from all harm. Anything beyond that, he could arrive at her rescue immediately.
For, his Dragon Bullets could travel through Mental Energy streams and arrive anywhere in the world in an instant.
Thinking as such, he contacted her.
[Brat, be a bit guarded against Slayer. I'm getting a strange feeling from him.]
[How did you know about him, dad?]
[He contacted me just now. He has already seen through your identity.]
