Chapter 624: Legendary Ruin of Amagoth
“You think your Ruin of Amagoth is enough to trap me?” Slayer calmed down quickly as he stared at the dissipating figure of Regriel that had used the entirety of his being to unleash this power. “I’ll break out of this soon enough. Just you see. Your daughter’s power will become mine.”
“Unfortunately, that won’t be happening.” Regriel grinned all of a sudden, “This Ruin of Amagoth will exist in an entirely different dimension. It would constantly sap away your strength to birth Magic Beasts.”
“You’re free to do as you please, but no matter what you do, you’ll eventually lose all your power.” Regriel roared in laughter as his figure vanished, “This is the ultimate Ruin of Amagoth that I prepared exclusively for you.”
“Even if you were to steal my daughter’s power, you’ll end up losing it too.”
“What the…?” Slayer was shocked to see the mausoleum surrounding him vanish as immediately, he grunted, feeling part of his power had been siphoned. Even though this was a tiny fragment that didn’t affect his overall strength, eventually, it would eat him up completely.
It might take a few thousand years, but it will happen in the end.
Unlike Tehela, Slayer wasn’t sealed anywhere, for Regriel was aware that it would be futile. There were ways to destroy the Ruin of Amagoth. And considering their power differences, Slayer might be able to break through it within a year or two.
That wasn’t even enough time for his daughter to grow strong, for considering the means Slayer possessed, he would find her immediately after.
Instead, he could only hit Slayer where it hurt the most, unleashing an effect that would continue to eat away at his accumulations for all eternity.
And this was a power unleashed using the support of both the Shaman and the Cartographer Professions, as a second before his death, Regriel had become a Cartographer Saint, gaining protection from this profession too, allowing him to truly unleash such a mighty seal.
It had to be noted that as a non-combat profession, even Pseudo-Saints among Cartographers were rare, not to mention a Saint. There probably wasn’t even a Cartographer Saint in the entire world at the moment; that was how rare they were, for they were an auxiliary profession.
“Dad!” Gehera screamed, the last scene she witnessed before being teleported away was of her dad’s body crumbling into a chain of runes that coiled around Slayer.
Boom!
Slayer’s power chased after her, intending to grab her but missed the perfect window already. Left with no other choice, he could only prevent Tehela from leaving too.
‘Is this why you asked me to send her first?’ Tehela closed her eyes, understanding Regriel’s intentions. Since the window of time he could buy was only long enough to teleport away one person, he prioritised Gehera over her.
She was happy that he valued Gehera’s life over everything, sacrificing himself to obtain it, but at the same time, she was somewhat sad that he didn’t try to buy time for her to escape too, “What a conflicting thing to worry about…”
She sighed, collapsing to the ground as she stared at the angry face of Slayer, her eyes widening in surprise as she muttered, “I see, so you were that Demon. I was surprised since you look like a human now…”
Swish!
A plasma blade severed her neck, vaporising her lower body instantly as the contract between the two was nullified, causing her to revert into a Titan.
“Capture her and use her for your needs…” Slayer said, placing a System in Tehela’s body as he stared at two Birdmen that had arrived, “Do whatever you want with her.”
“Thank you, Lord.” Saint Calvos bowed in response before carrying Tehela’s Titan head to the Talon Secret Organisation, beginning his preparations to create the Plague Doctor profession.
Tehela remained silent after that, unable to escape as the two Birdmen Saints used their power as a Witch to prevent her from regenerating her body.
…
‘It makes sense now.’ Compass Carburettor nodded, having looked through most of Tehela’s memories as he gained a good grasp of the situation.
Gehera was a bonafide System Slayer, but it was just that her powers were sealed by Regriel to avoid detection by Slayer.
Moreover, the power of the Titan in her had to be activated through the power of the Shaman wielded by the Goblin Race.
So, only by accessing both sides would Gehera activate her Personal Fragment and gain access to all the power that Regriel had prepared for her.
Until now, her Personal Fragment only took action in things concerning her mother, for that was in relation to a Titan, one of the two requirements.
Similarly, if they were to go to the Goblin Kingdom where Regriel originated from, the seal on her power would dissipate.
‘But, first things first…’ He thought as he—the Dragon Bullet—opened his mouth to gobble up the Coordinate in her head, instantly destroying the System before digesting the Coordinate, sensing his powers growing stronger.
He wished to free Tehela immediately but didn’t have the appropriate means to dispel the Witchcraft on her. It meant that even if he were to bring her away, she would only remain a Titan head.
And, carrying a Titan head with them was unnerving, to say the least, not to mention that it would paint a large target on them.
Moreover, Compass Carburettor came to realise that the Talon Secret Organisation was just one of the Secret Organisations under Slayer. There were plenty of them, with each performing a variety of tasks, all under his control.
This was why Saint Calvos and Saint Balvador dared to create the Plague Doctor profession, for they had his backing and the numerous Secret Organisations under him.
Compass Carburettor then stared at Boznan Burnak, unable to understand the motives of the other party. He still wasn’t sure if this Guardian Saint of the Burnak Kingdom would be able to protect his Kingdom from Slayer’s wrath in the likelihood of him obstructing this plan.
‘But first things first.’ Compass Carburettor thought, feeling a tad nervous as he unleashed a Mental Energy stream, contacting his number one priority.
[Brat, where are you now?]
