Chapter 666 In My Past (Part 31)
Hyunna was confused for a moment as he blinked, rubbing his eyes to see that he wasn't delusional. Moreover, he observed that the passer-by didn't notice the strange entity before him.
He quickly rushed into his room, noticing the mysterious entity following him, having shrunk itself to an adorable size. Staring at it, he asked, "Who are you?"
"Your Tamed Beast." The mysterious entity replied.
"My…Tamed Beast?" Hyunna was shocked as he muttered, "But, I don't remember taming one such as you though."
"Remember that rat?" The mysterious entity smiled, "I was living and recuperating in its mind. And it was you who woke me up by taming me. Since the rat died, I had to reveal myself."
"What type of Magic Beast are you?" Hyunna asked, noticing that there was indeed a link between the two, just as what a Tamer and a Tamed Beast had, signalling that it was indeed his Tamed Beast.
"I'm the strongest Magic Beast!" The mysterious entity smirked, "One that can see through all, I'm the Thousand-Eyed Beast."
"Thousand-eyed…Beast?" Hyunna's eyes lit up in excitement, "That sounds so strong!"
"Indeed!" The Thousand-Eyed Beast smirked smugly, "With me, you can rule the whole world."
"What's your power?" Hyunna asked in excitement, "Can you destroy a country with a wave of your hand? Can you cause a cataclysm? Can you…"
"Hold it!" The Thousand-Eyed Beast protested in irritation before saying, "Nothing of the sort. I can create…stories."
"Stories?" Hyunna tilted his head before his face flushed in embarrassment, "So you mean to say…you don't have any attacking abilities?"
"Hey, that's rude." The Thousand-Eyed Beast snorted, "I'm the strongest…"
"Yeah yeah, you're right." Hyunna rolled his eyes, sighing as he ignored it, changing into a set of clothes brought by the servant as he made his way to the Clan Hall, staring at the various elders seated there.
The delegates from the Felasi Clan too had arrived as Hyunna's eyes couldn't help but dart over to the lady seated arrogantly beside them, emanating a sharp, bloodthirsty aura.
She was Faura, the seventh daughter of the Felasi Clan Head, a rare Expert Elementalist. The reason was that she was contracted to a Blood Elemental Spirit.
Elemental Spirits formed in nature where the concentration of an element was absolutely pure. So, there were very few places where they formed. And typically, Elementalist Clans were constructed around such regions.
The Felasi Clan controlled a Lake where Water Elemental Spirits were birthed. Though, the purity of the Lake wasn't high, so the number of Water Elemental Spirits produced wasn't high, not to mention their relatively poor quality.
Despite that, as the entire lake was under the Felasi Clan's sole control, they were still a sizeable power. And among them, Faura was an exception, having contracted with a Blood Elemental Spirit that she chanced upon somewhere dangerous.
Blood Elemental Spirits were so rare that there were less than three documented in the entire Felera Empire. So, it was a testament to her rarity.
Though, she was a bloodthirsty individual, someone that had eaten up all her previous fiancees. Therefore, no Demon dared to marry her. This was where Hyunna's father took the opportunity to forge a marriage relationship and bring the two Clans closer.
Hyunna was being married off to the Felasi Clan. As he didn't have any talent, he was the perfect bargaining chip.
"He's…alright," Faura muttered, not batting an eye at Hyunna, treating him as less than dirt.
"Then, that's enough." Hyunna's father smiled in response and proceeded with the engagement. Following that, he motioned at a servant who escorted Hyunna and Faura to a room.
Normally, they wouldn't do this. But, as Faura had a habit of eating up her fiancees, it generally mean Hyunna's death. So yeah, Hyunna was being dispatched to his death.
Thump! Thump!
His back was covered with sweat as he was able to feel Faura's killing intent gradually flow out of her as her fingers seemed to be trembling, unable to control her bloodthirst. She wanted to kill him and drink his blood immediately.
'W-What should I do?' He was worried. Even though Faura was an Expert, the same as him, she was a Blood Elementalist while he, as a Tamer, didn't even have any Tamed Beasts now. So, he couldn't survive.
"Can I…use the restroom?" Hyunna smiled wryly upon seeing that they had arrived at their destination. The servant smirked in disdain and took his leave when Faura grabbed Hyunna and flicked him into the room, causing him to crash into a vat and break it.
"Keuk!" He grunted in pain, cursing in response upon seeing Faura emanate her killing intent, suffocating him, 'Shit! Is this where I die?'
'Idiot! Why worry when you have me?' The Thousand-Eyed Beast appeared beside him, smirking in response, now her thoughts echoing in his mind.
"Save me! I don't care how!" Hyunna shouted nervously, leaping to the side as he dodged Faura, grunting in pain as large claw marks formed on his back.
"Haha, your death is guaranteed. Why do you even resist?" Faura smirked as she licked the blood coating her nails, eyes lighting up in surprise, "Your blood tastes a lot better than what I've been consuming to date."
She was just about to pounce upon him when suddenly, a scroll appeared before her, emanating killing intent on par with her, displaying a painting of her that was laughing.
As it was a picture of her, Faura paused for a moment, observing that even though her picture emanated primal bloodthirstiness, it was still depicted…alluringly?
Surprised at the fact, Faura observed it better to notice that she was painted with care, depicting all her features with the utmost precision, displaying intense care with each stroke of the brush. It was as if a painter had used all his life to create art expressing love for the woman of his life.
At the side was a set of words, the strokes expressing a sense of longing, "To the lady I love."
Thump! Thump!
Faura noticed her heart thumping as this was the first time someone had expressed adoration towards her when all she felt from men until now was fear. Her eyes glanced at the bottom of the painting, noticing the signature that read, "Hyunna."
