Chapter 756: World Specialities

Every world had unique specialities that were cultivated in it in secluded locations. If suppose Fenn were to grow and develop further, he would establish a powerful Clan with the Invoked Spirit of Garuda.

This power whereby they can grow by absorbing Mental Fragments from both humans and eagles would be their exclusive speciality, not to mention being able to create invokers without an Invoker Crystal but using the egg that the Garuda produced.

Such specialities would be targeted by System Hosts who would exclusively gain that power. And once they leave the world and are consumed by their Hosts in the System World, their System would gain that power permanently.

If the absorbed essence was strong enough, the System World would condense it into a Skill to bestow the System with.

This was in the case with Grade 1 Systems. Grade 2 Systems and beyond were capable of condensing such essence into Skills on their own. And once condensed into a Skill, that power was permanently lost in its native world, for the System Host was the last to wield or inherit that power.

Gobbling up everything rare was a unique trait of the protagonists driven by Systems.

Compass Carburettor did the same here and stole the power of the Spirit Morph Crystal from Fenn, including everything he cultivated. Even though Larna was still alive, she only had the power of the Garuda and not the Spirit Morph Crystal itself.

With the power of the crystal, anyone would have been able to create a Garuda or some other Invoked Spirit of its level easily.

The moment he absorbed the Main Character System fragment that grew in Fenn, Compass Carburettor relaxed, for his ego was strengthened. After all, he was absorbing more of himself.

This immediately ensured he wasn’t plagued by thoughts of whether he was behaving as the Main Character or not anymore.

The moment he willed it, Compass Carburettor’s body morphed and transformed into the Garuda without any trouble. He didn’t even bring out his Invoked Spirit but directly morphed his body itself.

Tendrils wriggled around a half-exposed human brain which formed the central hub for everything. As the power of the Spirit Morph Crystal spread around in him, using the derived Mental Fragments, he could morph their nature a little, watching a brain form before him.

And it wasn’t Pilkan’s brain, but his—Compass Carburettor’s. Presently, he couldn’t discard Pilkan’s brain yet. For, the moment he was to lose it, he would still die.

After all, only a part of his soul was tied to his Invoked Spirit. The remainder was still part of the fleshly body. And only by transforming it fully would it be possible to attain what he was wishing for.

“Alright, you may leave for the time being, Duketace.” Compass Carburettor smiled, watching Duketace take his leave instantly as starlight shone through his eyes.

Once he left, Compass Carburettor thought while staring at his tendril-filled body, ‘Currently, I’m still an outsider of this world. The moment I extract myself from Pilkan’s soul, I’ll lose all this power.”

Boom!

“I’m here.” The Lan Clan Head said, retracting his wings as he had brought with him a couple dozen people, all Ascenders.

“Take your leave now. It’s not time for me to absorb you yet.” Compass Carburettor stared at the Lan Clan Head, one being controlled by him—Compass Carburettor—at the moment.

The Lan Clan Head left while Compass Carburettor stared at the over couple dozen Ascenders before him, each originating from far-off locations. They were all that had comprehended the Forbidden Tale until they were taken over by Compass Carburettor.

Their respective Clans were all fully under the effects of the Forbidden Tale, due to which their growth was staggering, already producing at least one more Ascender per Clan to take care of their political power.

And now, the previous generation Clan Heads were all gathered before him, obviously to be absorbed.

Compass Carburettor stretched his left hand that expanded like a worm and gobbled the closest Ascender, absorbing his Dreamland, Invoked Spirit, soul, etc. finally also absorbing the ‘Compass Carburettor’ growing in his mind too.

The effect in him was so strong that a part of his soul too had been transformed into Compass Carburettor. All these were absorbed and extracted by Compass Carburettor who then focused on the second Ascender, repeating the same.

He could also feel a tremendous reserve of Mental Energy swerving into his Invoked Spirit. All the Clan Heads had been storing a large sum in their bodies until now—after being taken over by Compass Carburettor.

Boom!

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning slammed into the cluster of threads created by Mental Fragments, melting through a fraction of them as Compass Carburettor grunted in pain.

“As expected, a tribulation is necessary for such a scenario, right?” His face formed a large grin that parted him horizontally into two. A second bolt slammed into him immediately after as some of the threads began to glow indigo in response.

Every creature had witnessed lightning at least a few times in its life. And as it obviously formed a strong impression in their mind, there was at least one Mental Fragment in the body of every creature regarding this.

For others, this Mental Fragment was useless, but for Compass Carburettor, it was valuable, for he had extracted them all and created tools out of them. Now, he dissolved the pure lightning-related Mental Fragments, causing them to glow while they absorbed the lightning.

The lightning flowed through them like currents before travelling into Pilkan’s brain, affecting his brain signals.

At this moment, the fragments of the soul of Compass Carburettor that had formed in the bodies of all the Ascenders began to flow into the brain as they gradually latched onto it and began to devour the latter.

Pilkan’s soul was gradually flushed out while Compass Carburettor’s took root, following which the power of the Spirit Morph Crystal affected the brain, actually transforming it into Mental Fragments too.

After all, Compass Carburettor was able to harness the power of Mental Energy, turning them into Bullet Templates, the power of one among which allowed him to create Systems using the content in Mental Energy.

In a similar vein, by transferring the lightning of nature into the brain, he amplified the thoughts it produced, causing them to remain within the muscles that he began to transform into Systems, stopping partially to result in Mental Fragments, for that was their true nature—of Mental Fragments.

“I was wondering why Conjurer supported this weak power system.” Compass Carburettor said as his lips gradually curled up.
