Chapter 808 CC Like A Virus

Name:I Hate Systems Author:
'Shit!' Arnark stared in alarm as a serpent transformed into Mental Energy and drilled into his body, taking advantage of his focus on the Tell-Tale System.

Immediately after, just like before, it leaped out of his body, carrying a Main Character System fragment with it. It was the same stolen fragment as before, as it was the easiest to snatch, considering how Arnark's imprint on it was the weakest.

This fragment also happened to be the Main Character System fragment that turned Compass Carburettor into a System Slayer. So, it was the easiest for him to influence this one as compared to the rest.

And unlike before, the moment the serpent stole the Main Character System fragment, it burrowed into the ground and headed straight for Immortal. It didn't wish to be targeted by Magister like before and be destroyed.

Through their real-time thought sharing, the serpent was already aware of Dota's arrival, understanding that Stencil didn't need the Main Character System fragment anymore. But, if it let up its struggles in response, Arnark would definitely notice that something is amiss.

And if he were to do something, then the process Stencil was currently undergoing would collapse due to some mishap.

Therefore, Compass Carburettor had to do something about Arnark and keep the entirety of his attention focused on the serpent, at least long enough until Stencil was safe.

So, the best way to go about this was to head into the battle between Immortal and the Systems. Make the battle as chaotic as possible and keep everyone distracted against his true purpose.

Punisher Lightning!

The serpent swallowed the Main Character System fragment into its Dreamland and bombarded it with Punisher Lightning while covering the space with the mist to prevent the fragment from taking any action.

This state of statis rendered it helpless while the Punisher Lightning continued to remove Arnark's imprint on it.

Since there was a chance, Compass Carburettor didn't wish to create a backup plan. After all, the more solid plans he had at saving his daughter, the better.

"Dammit!" Arnark recovered, only then observing that a good fraction of his Mental Energy too was stolen by the serpent. One Main Character System fragment and a tenth of his Mental Energy reserves.

It was a formidable amount, stole just because he had to focus all his attention on the Tell-Tale System.

"I'll kill you, Compass!" Arnark bellowed and tried to target the Realm instead, only to see it break into a sprint already. Truck-Kun was focusing all his efforts to move the Realm and keep it free from all attacks.

This was why Compass Carburettor, Hazem, and Gehera were able to wholeheartedly focus on Stencil to support Dota.

Boom!

The serpent transformed into a Mental Energy stream and avoided one of Arnark's attacks before transforming into the figure of Compass Carburettor. As all Secret Society Members were just parts of him, and since he wished to distract them, he chose to take this appearance.

Guooong!

The moment his humanoid figure formed, a formidable wave of aura erupted out of him as the sheer Mental Strength he exuded was alarming.

'Is this the main body? He was waiting outside all along? This scheming bastard. Seriously, give me a break already.' Arnark was alarmed. Moreover, Compass Carburettor's actions stressed him mentally, causing him to be more prone to the effects of the apocalyptic setting, feeling tired already.

"…" Compass Carburettor didn't spare a glance at Arnark after that, transforming into a Mental Energy stream that flowed into the Invader System, causing the other party to shriek in alarm.

Currently, it was being pummelled by Immortal, left with no room to resist while Apocalypse, Regression and the rest of the strong Systems did everything in their power to hold him back.

"Something is eating me up from the inside!" The Invader System said in alarm. It was unable to set aside any strength or even focus, for removing even a fraction would result in it being destroyed by Immortal.

He had already entered his golden age and was quickly regressing his way to the peak.

In this state, Compass Carburettor advantageously targeted it and began to consume its Mental Energy, invading its body like a virus.

Boom!

Immortal flashed his palm towards the Apocalypse System, unleashing a beam of destructive energy that poked a hole in Apocalypse's chest. Its chest muscles wriggled as part of its Mental Energy was consumed to heal.

But, closely following along the outskirts of the beam of destructive energy was a Mental Energy stream that plunged into the interior of body through the wound Immortal had created.

It was Compass Carburettor. Using Spirit Morph, he stole some of Invader System's strength from the inside, converted them into Mental Fragments and took them all into his Dreamland.

He swapped them with what formed the Invoked Spirit and Dreamland, causing its nature to change rapidly.

Moreover, the entire Dreamland's Mental Fragments rearranged themselves, forming a Scroll—formation—with the Main Character System fragment as the core. Arnark's imprint was already destroyed on it, as his own imprint on it was the strongest, allowing him to easily gain control over it.

If it was a fragment he never possessed, then it might take him years even with his current strength to remove the imprint and make his own on it.

Now that it had become his once again, the Main Character System fragment formed the core of the Scroll while Mental Fragments from the Invader System formed the rest, erecting a formation whose power conformed to the Invader System—the power of Invasion.

The effects of the Scrolls were more mental in nature and couldn't affect the physical body. But, this was why Compass Carburettor transformed his flesh and blood body into a Mental Fragment one, so that he could course the effects of the Scrolls through his body.

Moreover, Systems were beings of the mind too, so this power was perfect against them.

Invader Scroll!

The moment he gained this power, Compass Carburettor transformed his entire Dreamland to echo the same, amplifying its power to the limit. And now, this became his—the respective Secret Society member—primary power.

Following that, taking advantage of Immortal's attack, he left the Invader System and burrowed into the Apocalypse System, alarming the other party as he managed to break past its internal defences, just like a virus.
