Chapter 629: Chapter 629: Annihilation

Upon seeing a distant archer aim at Song Jian, the little stone figure at his side was momentarily taken aback. Then, with a furious shriek that sounded like “Ji Ji Ji Ji~”, the figure plunged both hands into the ground. Like water, the surrounding soil swiftly flowed towards its hands, forming a basketball-sized stone in no time. With a mighty heave, the figure hurled the stone at the archer.

The stone whistled sharply through the air at high speed. The archer, who at the moment was taking aim at Song Jian, noticed a dark shadow flying towards him. Before he could react, he felt a powerful impact on his chest. Sharp pain erupted from his chest, and the bone-cracking sound of “Ka-cha, ka-cha” echoed in his ears. He was sent flying like a scarecrow far into the distance.

Spurt~

Blood spewed from his mouth. The archer realized in horror that he had lost two-thirds of his Vitality Points in one hit. It had almost instantly killed him.

“What… What kind of damage is this? Is he a level thirty Elite Boss?” the archer asked, gaping at the mini stone figure, who was not even a meter tall. He couldn’t reconcile the idea of this little stone figure dealing such a powerful blow at all.

The stone figure pumped its fists in a triumphant display, continuing to emit a stream of “Ji Ji”s after clocking the archer’s bewilderment.

Meanwhile, Song Jian was all too aware of the seven robbers that were moving in on him. However, a smirk crept onto his face. Robbers that revealed their whereabouts were not much of a threat, regardless of their numbers.

One of the robbers had snuck within two meters behind him. His dagger was already aiming for the back of Song Jian’s head. The other robbers watched with amusement, waiting for their companion to strike Song Jian unconscious, so they could attack him one by one like a relay race and bring him down.

“Die, stone monster!” The robber behind Song Jian tensed, intending to plunge his dagger into the back of Song Jian’s head like an animal’s fang.

“Heh, gotcha!” The other robbers, seeing the action, had smiles creeping onto their faces, and the second “relay” player was already subtly moving towards Song Jian.

Just as the robber behind Song Jian was about to make his move, a dazzling golden light burst forth from Song Jian, forcing everyone watching him to involuntarily close their eyes due to its intense brightness.

The thief behind Song Jian also instinctively shut his eyes, and the very next instant, he felt a surge of danger engulfing him.

“This is bad!” He had barely registered this feeling when he felt a piercing pain in his chest, as if something sharp had penetrated his body.

Blood came surging out, and the robber felt his strength rapidly ebbing away as his body slumped to the ground. Just before he died, he finally saw what had ran him through – a dazzling golden Sword Qi that was radiating from Song Jian’s left index finger.

Song Jian didn’t even turn around but simply used “Sword Finger” to take out the robber whose Vitality Points weren’t even up to 800.

“Instant kill? How is this possible?” The remaining robbers rubbed their eyes in disbelief.

Upon witnessing Song Jian’s terrifying damage, two of the robbers shivered and began to retreat.

“Not one of you will escape!” Song Jian snarled, his figure dissolving into a dark fog as he dashed towards the remaining robbers.

Whoosh~

His Crimson Fire Heart Ape Sword easily tore through a robber’s weakly defensive armor, and he slashed off half of the robber’s Vitality Points with a mere regular attack. The robber was visibly terrified.

“How could his damage possibly be this high!” the robber cried out, deflecting Song Jian’s attacks with a flurry of dagger swings. “Help!” he yelled to the others.

Clang, clang, clang~

Sparks flew as the metallic weapons clashed. Every blow pushed the robber further back, until his back harshly met a wall after stumbling seven to eight steps backward.

His arms were too weak to even grip his dagger anymore. Petrified, he saw Song Jian brandishing his long sword, aiming a heavy blow at his head.

The golden Sword Qi that shimmered on the surface of the long sword was as fierce as a burning flame.

“No!” the voice ended abruptly, and another robber fell under Song Jian’s attack.

“All of you… are going to die!” Song Jian said coldly. A pair of iron wings spread wide behind him, more than doubling his speed.

The remaining robbers turned cold, no longer caring about anything else as they activated their Acceleration Skills and fled in all directions.

Despite their best efforts, they were no match for Song Jian’s combined “Frost Acceleration,” “Sword Shadow Step,” and the enhancements of his iron wings. Song Jian defeated them one by one. Even the seriously injured archer was eventually slain by the small stone figure’s attack.

Seeing Song Jian return, the stone figure pointed at the archer’s corpse and started to crow, obviously pleased with its recent achievement.

With a faint smile, Song Jian patted the smooth head of the stone figure. He hadn’t expected the figure to be so powerful in its attacks. While it wasn’t as formidable as the Black Dragon, it showed great potential to be a valuable ally in the future.

At this point, a sound came from the archer’s body.

“Ci Ci~, Ci Ci Ci ~”

“Undercover Team 3, Undercover Team 3 respond please. Teams 1 and 2 are already at predetermined locations, ready to act. Please report your progress!”

Song Jian looked over and saw a black walkie-talkie still functioning amidst the crushed corpse of the archer.

Half of the walkie-talkie was smashed in, making it look like a piece of junk. Surprisingly, it was still working, albeit with some interference.

Picking it up, Song Jian examined the device, only to find that it was something a player had created.

“I didn’t realize that players could create these things already,” Song Jian said, slightly dazed.

Besides, this walkie-talkie was a product of engineering manufacturing. If there were blueprints, Song Jian could make it too.

“Why would players use this instead of the more convenient communicator for adding friends?” Song Jian studied the walkie-talkie, flipping it over numerous times.
