The energy within Lance was first examined by a sanctum, then by a group of magicians who personally monitored its flow. It was pure sacred energy, undoubtedly gifted by the Goddess. What could possibly go wrong? In their eyes, this was nothing more than Lance's desperate struggle.

"It's impossible! He's playing tricks; he's been wanting to kill me all along. I request another examination, even if it means having the Goddess personally inspect it!" Seeing all the magicians standing by Su Mo, Lance panicked.

Upon hearing Lance's words, Cardinal Ferren hesitated for a moment. But immediately...

"Puff?" Lance spat out a mouthful of blood, staring incredulously at his chest, where a dagger was embedded. The dagger pierced his heart, causing an even more intense surge of demonic energy.

"You... you..."

Sensing his life rapidly slipping away, Lance pointed at Su Mo with a face full of disbelief. Before coming out, he had imagined various scenarios of confrontation with Su Mo. In his eyes, it was merely a struggle for power within the Holy See. He had expected to cautiously handle Su Mo's hidden moves.

He believed this clash would be spectacular, enough to create multiple "highlight moments" and become a vivid part of his achievements. Lance was destined to step on Count of Moshi Territory's corpse, heading towards the vast cosmic ocean.

This meeting was carefully orchestrated by him. He intended to overpower the notorious Count of Moshi Territory with his imposing presence. However... He never expected things to develop like this!
