C39 – You Really dare to Kill Him

Upon hearing her words, Zhou Jibo grasped the gravity of the situation.

The pill’s effects took hold, and color returned to Zheng Fanshuang’s cheeks. An hour later, black blood oozed from her wound, followed by fresh red blood, signaling the complete eradication of the poison.

Fully conscious again, she awkwardly expressed her gratitude to Zhou Jibo, adding, “Young Master, please disregard my earlier ramblings. You’ve saved my life once more, and serving you as a maid is the least I can do in return.”

“There’s no need for that,” Zhou Jibo replied. “You were injured on my account. From now on, just call me Jibo. You’re no longer a maid but an ordinary member of the Zhou family. It’s neither advantageous nor detrimental, but you must stay by my side and not venture out on your own.”

Hearing this, Zheng Fanshuang’s spirits soared. “Yes, that’s wonderful! Jibo!”

After all, she was the Zheng family’s daughter and had never truly adapted to a servant’s life.

“Are you able to walk?” Zhou Jibo inquired.
