Ye Zhi turned her head in a daze. The moment she looked over, amidst the long dark night, there was a flash of light. Although the light was subtle, it gleamed stunningly. This cluster of tiny candles flickered slightly but never went out.
The light gradually dissipated and what started to form in front of Ye Zhi’s eyes was Gu Ren’s familiar and handsome face. Those secluded eyes stared at her for a moment and she could see the unease in them.
Ye Zhi murmured, “Gu Ren.”
Gu Ren felt slightly relieved, but he kept his hand on the back of Ye Zhi’s neck. He also exerted a little force to pull her towards him, albeit his strength being very soft.
Gu Ren placed one hand behind Ye Zhi’s neck and raised the other hand to gently touch Ye Zhi’s face.
The distance between the two was very close and Gu Ren lowered his head slightly. Their foreheads were pressed together and they were very close.
Gu Ren looked at Ye Zhi steadily as he opened his mouth. His calm voice pulled Ye Zhi out of her chaotic world.
Gu Ren’s voice was extremely low and unbelievably pleasant, “Ye Zhi, look at me.”
Ye Zhi looked at Gu Ren and he opened his mouth again. This time, his voice was even softer, as if he was whispering, “Don’t be nervous, I’m here.”
In the photo, Ye Zhi was sitting on the edge of the window sill as the window lattice behind her was entwined with elegant and pure flowers, staggering with a contrast of both light and dark colours.
Her entire being seemed to be shrouded by a sea of flowers like a very bright picture. The flowers were blooming, but the person in the picture was more beautiful than the flowers as her beauty was not at all dimmed by nature.
The fitted, floor-length wedding dress hung down gracefully and a pair of fair feet were looming at the hem of the layered skirt.
Ye Zhi rested her hands on the edge of the windowsill and leaned forward slightly. Due to her posture, it highlighted her stunning physical features.
Gu Ren stood opposite Ye Zhi and looked at her. The distance between the two was not far nor near.
However, it still made the people feel like in Gu Ren’s eyes, his world was only revolving around one person.
It seemed that once this person had entered his heart, his soul had been entangled as it was impossible to forget it for the rest of his life after just one look.
Ye Zhi’s long hair blew with the wind and a strand of black hair fell on Gu Ren’s shoulders. The ends of her locks were slightly curled, resting only half an inch from the corner of Gu Ren’s lips.
If there was anything that portrayed even more intimacy and ambiguity, it was going to be found in a reverie.
