When Ye Zhi was lying on the ultrasound bed, the couplant was applied to her stomach. There was a cold feeling and Ye Zhi couldn’t help being a little nervous.
Ye Zhi subconsciously looked at the doctor and noticed her subtle expressions. The doctor was looking at the screen with a serious expression.
Every minute and every second that passed was difficult for Ye Zhi to bear as her palms started to become slightly sweaty.
After a while, the doctor smiled and looked at Ye Zhi.
“You are pregnant and it’s been that way for 6 weeks.”
Ye Zhi suddenly smiled as even the corners of her eyes started to crease. She carefully placed her hand on her stomach, full of joy.
Ye Zhi was now a mother for the first time and was very nervous about everything. She remembered that she had been on a strict diet before and started to worry that it would affect her body.
The doctor knew about this. She had also checked up on Ye Zhi before and comforted her with a smile.
Gu Ren knew that Ye Zhi would always be waiting for him, but today, he made Ye Zhi wait too long.
When Gu Ren walked to the door of the room, he realised that he couldn’t see the usual sliver of light from the bottom of the door. In fact, it was so quiet that it was as if there was no one inside.
Was Ye Zhi already asleep?
Gu Ren lightened his movements and opened the door, revealing the pitch black room. With the help of the moonlight, Gu Ren saw the slightly raised quilt on the bed.
In the next second, the figure on the bed moved and the small light beside the bed was turned on. A soft blanket of light fell as Ye Zhi turned sideways, her eyes zeroing in on Gu Ren.
Upon seeing Ye Zhi’s appearance, Gu Ren thought that she was not feeling well, so he quickly stepped forward and sat beside the bed.
Due to Gu Ren’s action, a part of the bedside sank slightly, making Ye Zhi’s body lie closer to Gu Ren.
Gu Ren leaned down and looked at Ye Zhi. As she was so close to Gu Ren, Ye Zhi felt that she would probably be unable to hide her thoughts from him.
