The atmosphere in the living room suddenly became weird. Even Zhou Zhensheng, who had been loud and outspoken, seemed to feel something. He lowered his head and pretended to be looking at his phone without saying a word, but his eye leapt between Yan Xiao and Ye Fei repeatedly.

In the silence, Yan Xiao re-posted the group photo to the group chat with no visible emotion, “There was a problem with the focus of the camera just now.”

“Really?” Ye Fei’s mischievous laughter broke out beside him. He leaned on his chin with one hand and looked at Yan Xiao meaningfully, as if he could easily see through the superficial excuse.

Yan Xiao said “yes”, gripping the phone tightly. His heart was beating so fast that it felt that it had burst out of his chest. It was the first time that Yan Xiao had such a contradictory reaction. He was afraid that he was seen through; yet scared that the other would never realize it.

“So—” Ye Fei squeezed the pillow in his arms, the corners of his lips slightly curled up, “I thought it was President Yan’s poor technique.”

The air grew stale in an instant.

“Shit!” Gu Ruijia slammed a pillow over, and scolded with a smile. “If you can drive like this, do you need me to make room for the two of you now?”

Ye Fei slid back, and with Yan Xiao sitting close to him, his back started to press against the latter.

“Thank you, no need.” Ye Fei was thick-skinned, and took a sip of wine without a change in expression before accepting Gu Ruijia’s joke with a smile.

Zhou Zhensheng chuckled before pinching his throat and whining in a nasal voice, “Don’t you know President Yan’s skills the best?” He glanced at Yan Xia’s serious expression, “Is that right? President Yan.”

Yan Xiao could not understand what they were talking about. His thoughts were still stuck on the photo that had been sent wrongly, and thought that the other people were talking about his camera technique.

Yan Xiao was not trained professionally, and had no clue where his true level was. But upon thinking of the single photo of Ye Fei taken just now, only he was qualified to say whether it was good or not, so he nodded and said, “Yes.”

Screams and whistles thronged the air, almost toppling the roof. Gu Ruijia pounded the coffee table so loudly that the wine flew out of the cup. The few of them went crazy; sure enough, Yan Xiao was a big shot, he could play!

Ye Fei choked on his wine and coughed as though he was tearing his lungs and heart out. His face was slightly red, and he glared at Yan Xiao, “What nonsense are you talking about?”

Obviously he started it himself, but in turn, he blamed others for being unpretentious.

How is it nonsense?

Yan Xiao was puzzled and was about to speak when Ye Fei suddenly covered his mouth with his hand.

“Okay, okay, don’t talk about it.” If he continued, Ye Fei did not know where the conversation would go.

Ye Fei had been leaning on Yan Xiao’s shoulder, and when he turned around, it was as if he took the initiative to nestle in Yan Xiao’s arms. Yan Xiao lowered his eyes.

Ye Fei was half a head shorter than himself. Ye Fei’s face was currently white and small, and his eyes were slightly watery because of a violent cough, showing an obedient face completely different from his usual.

After a secret crush of seven years and six months of marriage, the two had never been so close.

In the end, Yan Xiao tamely hugged Ye Fei’s waist, afraid that he would find out. He relaxed his arms, and hugged Ye Fei gently. Ye Fei did not recognize this small action for what it was, as he was thinking about the photo just posted to the group chat.

Because it was not properly focused, not only was his face enlarged, but the edges were a little blurry, creating a particularly ugly image.

In this position, he reached for Yan Xiao’s phone and demanded, “Delete that photo.”

Yan Xiao raised his wrist, dodging his hands.

“Okay, I won’t look at your phone.” Ye Fei assumed that Yan Xiao did not want him to touch his phone. After all, in the information age, a phone was a person’s greatest privacy. “You can delete it yourself.”

Yan Xiao still did not move, and said, “I’ll delete it when I go back.”

“Why wait to go back,” Ye Fei was dissatisfied and pushed Yan Xiao, “Delete it now.”

He turned his eyes around Yan Xiao, raising an eyebrow, his face akin to a cunning fox full of plans: “You don’t want to blackmail me with my ugly photos, right?”

Ugly? Yan Xiao felt that there might be a problem with Ye Fei’s self-awareness. How is it ugly, it is obviously very beautiful.

“Come on,” Ye Fei could not help but urge, “Otherwise, I’ll really steal your phone.”

Yan Xiao could not refuse Ye Fei, especially now that Ye Fei was nestled in his arms, his eyes full of Yan Xiao’s reflection. He slowly unlocked his phone and clicked on the photo.

“Hurry up and delete it.” Ye Fei did not want to look at it any more, and he turned his gaze away in disgust.

Yan Xiao clicked on the lower right corner and pressed the “Delete Photo” option. Seeing this, Ye Fei was finally satisfied, and continued chatting with Gu Ruijia and the others with a stone off his chest.

He did not know that in the next second, Yan Xiao tapped the trash bin and restored the photo.

It was just a pity that Ye Fei did not continue to lie on him.

“Ye Fei, the stock you recommended last time is absolutely perfect.” After finishing their drinks, the group of friends chatted around the coffee table, Zhou Zhensheng swallowed the double skin milk in his mouth and turned to look at Ye Fei. “My mother bought it too. After purchasing a little, it went up like mad the next day, and she regretted buying less.”

If Zhou Zhensheng had not brought it up, Ye Fei would have forgotten about it. He logged into the app, and as soon as he refreshed it, he saw that the money he had invested had doubled several times in just a few days.

It was a pity that his principal had been too small, otherwise he could pay off Yan Xiao just by buying stocks, rather than working hard on several projects.

Ye Fei thought about it, and recalled that the U.S. stock market would start to fall a week later, even incurring two trading halts. This time, even this stock would not be exempt.

“Time to sell it.” Ye Fei remembered the days of the trading halt. After all, it was a big enough event to go down in history, though he could not remember exactly when this stock started to fall. “It’s not very good recently.”

“Eh?” Sun Qiong was taken aback, “No way, I think the momentum is right now, and there could be another wave.”

“If it’s still smooth-sailing, it’s too good to be true. It’s not normal for it to rise so fast.” Ye Fei made a vacuous statement, and sold the stock without hesitation in front of them.

“Wow, you’re really selling.” Zhou Zhensheng wanted to be stubborn, but when he saw Ye Fei’s actions, his heart started to beat like a drum. Was the stock meant to be sold as decisively as Ye Fei had done? On the other hand, Gu Ruijia immediately followed.

“Stop hesitating,” Gu Ruijia kicked Zhou Zhensheng and exclaimed impatiently, “Would Ye Fei cheat on you?”

Zhou Zhensheng went over Gu Ruijia’s words in his mind. Although he was still reluctant, his previous experience told him that it was better to listen to Ye Fei. He gritted his teeth and started selling his stock.

With the principle of following the herd, and after a few friends sold out, Sun Qiong no longer held on. While entering the password, he asked Ye Fei, “Is there another stock like this? I welcome all such money-makers.”

“Think again,” Ye Fei glanced at him, “If I’m that prescient, I would have long made a fortune.”

Sun Qiong thought so too, and stopped talking.

“But…” Ye Fei suddenly changed the topic, “I’m interested in sci-fi films recently.”

It was a coincidence that Gu Ruijia’s phone rang just after he said those words. It turned out to be Song Wen, the director of <<Super Time Redemption>>.

After hearing from a friend that an investor was looking for him, Song Wen did not want to delay for a second, and despite the fact that it was late at night, he could not wait to contact Gu Ruijia.

Gu Ruijia had no interest in the movie, so he threw the phone to Ye Fei. Ye Fei listened to Song Wen’s humble and anxious voice over the phone, and his heart soured at the fame Song Wen had experienced in the future.

He did not interrupt Song Wen’s eloquent explanation of the script, but only asked some questions from time to time, implicitly expressing that he was listening carefully. Song Wen was encouraged by his attitude. His mood started to calm down, and so did his tone.

The more the two interacted, the more speculative they became, and finally they agreed to meet at Tianxi Entertainment tomorrow morning before hanging up.

“You really want to invest.” Gu Ruijia’s face was complicated. He had thought Ye Fei was doing it on a whim.

“Yeah.” Ye Fei handed him the phone and turned to Zhou Zhensheng and Sun Qiong, “I have an appointment with the director to meet tomorrow morning. You can come together if you are interested.”

“No, no, no.” Zhou Zhensheng waved his hands away. If it was a comedy film rather than a sci-fi film, he would be more willing to participate. Sun Qiong also shook his head.

“Okay,” Ye Fei did not insist as he looked at the time. It was approaching one o’clock. “Then I’ll go back first, it’s not good to see people while yawning tomorrow.”

“Go, let’s go.” They were all drunk anyway, and nobody tried to insist on him staying. The people there wondered in their hearts how this little director got into Ye Fei’s eyes.

“Oh, yes, Old Sun,” Ye Fei took two steps and suddenly stopped, “I have to trouble you to help me pay more attention to the apartment.”

Sun Qiong patted his chest and said, “Don’t worry, leave it to me.” His family was in the real estate business, so helping Ye Fei to find a good house was a trivial matter.

Ye Fei nodded and pulled Yan Xiao out the door. The driver had been waiting downstairs for a long time. After opening the car door for the two of them, he asked Yan Xiao, “President Yan, how fast should the speed be?”

Yan Xiao frowned, staring at the driver before saying, “No more than seventy.” Why did the driver not even remember such a simple fact after being with him for so long?

“Okay.” The driver started the car with relief, thinking that it was getting harder and harder to serve President Yan. Under the same road conditions, the President would ask for seventy, but switching to a hundred and twenty in another instance.

The car drove quietly on the street at night. In the span of twenty minutes, Yan Xiao kept looking at Ye Fei, as if he had something to say to him. Ye Fei had noticed it, but he deliberately didn’t say anything, just to see how long Yan Xiao could endure. Yan Xiao could really bear it. He did not speak until the two got out of the car and returned home.

Ye Fei was too lazy to take the initiative. Since Yan Xiao did not say anything, it meant that it was not an urgent matter. He opened the door of the room and was about to go in, when Yan Xiao suddenly called him from behind.

“Ye Fei.”

Ye Fei turned his head. “Huh?”

“Why are you looking for a house?” Yan Xiao asked.

Ye Fei raised his eyes and looked at Yan Xiao, and said lightly, “I will move out once we divorce. I don’t want to go back home, of course I have to find a house.”

Yan Xiao looked at him quietly, without saying a word.

Ye Fei waited for a while, and when Yan Xiao did not speak again, he walked into the room and closed the door. He swiped through today’s news, and found a short video on the Internet that Song Wen made in his early years. Then he put down his phone and prepared to take a shower.

Just as he had undressed halfway through, there was a knock on the door. It was a typical Yan Xiao-style knock on the door, with two knocks and a five-second pause in a regular pattern.

Ye Fei was not suitably dressed to open the door, so he asked, “What’s the matter?”

“Ye Fei,” Yan Xiao called his name, his voice a little dull, “Can you not move out?”

Of course not, it would be outrageous if they were divorced and still living together. Ye Fei threw his T-shirt on a chair and asked carelessly, “What?”

“I don’t want you to move out.” Yan Xiao said. Behind the door, Ye Fei could not see how sad the expression on his face had become. He lowered his eyes for a while, then said, “I don’t want to divorce you either.”
