Chapter 24: First Act: Bloodbound Summoning [2]

Name:I Killed The Main Characters Author:

'First the protection magic will be in effect as usual.

Then the act's mid-level boss will mess with the barrier having it lift only 40%.

That way they'll be able to take more nobles for the summoning.

And that's when the main characters swoop in and try to save the day by fighting a hoard of undead summoned by the first mid-level boss.

Following that Amy gets kidnapped...'

Before he continued Noah took in amounts of breath ready to see the first act fully unfold.

He had played it countless times, so why was he feeling off and uneasy.

'If the story alters a bit, I'll be able to come up with something as we progress...'

As of the moment, Noah didn't want to alter and mess with the storyline.

Atleast the first act alone.

Because if it changes even a bit, then Draven won't appear.

'The actual true protagonist of the game...'

'So for now, I'll just watch from the sidelines as the main characters do their thing...only until I'm sure will I act accordingly.'

That was the reason Noah was in his room at the moment.

"Where should I put these?"

But he wasn't alone.

"Oh just leave them over there..."

Noah replied.

'For now, Maya is here to help me...

I already gave her instructions on what to do later on if something happens to me.

And surprisingly she didn't ask any questions.

I mean it would be strange if someone just randomly begins to tell you what to do and it seeming like he knows what is going to happen.

But still, I could tell she had her doubts about all this.

But she still chose to listen to me even after she asked a few questions and I answered her.

Suddenly the atmosphere and surroundings turned into a purple hue.

"The barrier has been activated..."

Noah mumbled.

'At the moment everyone will be going through the same routine as the last 2 days.

But Unbeknownst to them tonight will be different.'

Professor Sharon was standing infront of a shelf returning some books and sitted a few metres from her was another Professor whose name was Jacob.

And almost instantly, they all saw in the distance a bright hue of purple light envelope the atmosphere and immediately knew what it was.

Professor Sharon looked at the clock on the wall and said, "looks like it's time..."

"Yeah..."

Rylan said.

"So that's what the screams were...should we get the other council members?"

Xander asked.

"If they're really council members they would be out now as well..."

Xander moved out the door and looked at the stairs that led upwards.

He then noticed what seemed to be a blood trail leading up the stairs.

"Come one this way, they were probably taken to the top floors."

"What? That doesn't make any sense...if all the missing students were at the top wouldn't we have found them by now?"

Rylan asked.

"We should atleast go check ,don't you think...I mean the blood trail speaks for us."

Xander stated.

Xander and Rylan cautiously ascended to the next floor, their footsteps echoing in the dimly lit hallway.

The pressure quickly shifted and was different.

But it didn't overwhelm them too much.

As they reached the top, they froze.

A hooded figure stood in the middle of the corridor, glasses perched on his nose, hiding his eyes.

It was a fellow student, but something felt off.

"You should return to your room," Xander said, his voice tense.

"It's not safe here."

The figure simply smiled, a cold and unsettling grin spreading across his face.

Then, his eyes glowed red behind the glasses.

"You two won't be going anywhere," he said, his voice dripping with malice.

He pointed at Rylan.

"I can smell pure blood. Are you a noble?"

Rylan didn't answer, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword tightly.

Without a word, he dashed forward in a blur, driving his sword straight into the figure's stomach.

But instead of stopping him, the force of the attack sent both of them crashing through the nearby window.

They fell, the wind rushing past them as they plummeted through the night sky.

Panic began to creep into Rylan's heart as he looked at the figure beside him.

The figure's glasses were shattered, revealing eyes that glowed with an eerie red light.

But what terrified Rylan the most was the blood flowing from the figure's eyes, not as tears, but as something far more sinister.

"What the..."

Was all Rylan could mutter.

The figure smiled again, the crimson streaks staining his face, as they continued their descent into the darkness.
