Chapter 484 - 11.10 First Green Star - Hei Jue's Hate

Under the order of the Lord God, Hei Anjing's System Space was transferred to the central region of the Nether System. The scenery of a towering tree of life surrounded by countless hovering stars and the universe. There were even two dragons with different appearances who flew towards the top of the white-colored leaf tree. It was such otherworldly scenery.

But despite the wonderful scenery, the men inside the dimensions did not give the place a single glance. Hei Jue and Ye Xiajie were glaring at one another. It was more like Hei Jue was glaring while Ye Xiajie was looking back with a disinterested gaze. The dislike between the two is clear but neither of the two was able to kill one another. As the person they love and care about the most would definitely be sad if either of the two were to get injured in the fight. They are family after all.

Hei Jue confronted Ye Xiajie at the peak of his anger. He was one of the people who had watched Hei Anjing undergo the first trial to the current second trial. He could still remember his younger cousin brother's tears bursting from his cold countenance. He looks more pitiful when he tries to hold back his tears as he grips the clothes above his chest as if he was out of breath.

He told him to rest countless times but as if he was a zombie who lost touch of tiredness and pain, Hei Jue could only watch him enter worlds only to come out with an even worse state than the former. 

Hei Jue is an only child. Moreover, his branch was hated by the other branches thanks to his father being the biological brother of his uncle Hei Sian. His Uncle was considered as a black sheep in their family and so a lot of people hated him but his father loved this younger brother a lot, even against everyone in the Hei Clan he stood at the side of his younger brother. 

Without question, this left their family to be bullied for years. All those years of suffering only ended when Hei Anjing and his uncle, Hei Sian personally visited the Hei Clan and declared that aside from Hei Jue's family branch the rest of the family will no longer be protected by the Mo Family. They even threatened to destroy the clan if his family branch was bullied.

Thanks to this protection Hei Jue was able to climb up to his current position as the Leader of the Hei Clan. Hei Anjing himself had helped him along the way and gotten along with each other as brothers like no other. Hei Jue loves Hei Anjing as a sibling. So he could bear the fact that the younger brother he watched over and protected all this time would be stolen from him by a bastard like Ye Xiajie.

Uncle Hei Sian says it's fate. Even the Venerable Lord Mo turns a blind eye to their relationship even after learning that Ye Xiajie is someone from the notorious race of Ye Guis. Uncle Mo Yue said that it is because the man is Hei Anjing's other half. They accepted Ye Xiajie as if it's destined in the end. But Hei Jue doesn't accept him.

For a man who chose to ignore his cousin's feelings for centuries, Hei Jue doesn't believe this man is worthy of Hei Anjing's love. He had watched for the longest time as Hei Anjing would gather enough confidence to try to approach that man only to be ignored and sent away in the end. He had also watched as his beloved younger brother looked at that man from the distance with a yearning gaze. He looks so lonely and sad.

He has always been by Hei Anjing's side during the times the couple had misunderstandings with each other. He could also only watch as his cousin acts like a brainless fool just to follow wherever Ye Xiajie would go. But who would have thought that the ending would be like this? Like in the past he could only watch at the side as the two finally fell in love with each other in exchange for all of Hei Anjing's sacrifices.

Glaring at Ye Xiajie at this moment was the only thing Hei Jue could do, "I hate you so much. I really really hate you. If you have your memories you wouldn't dare to glare back at me like this. Just because you don't have memories doesn't mean you can be excused for what you have done. Didn't you use to ignore Jing'er as if he didn't exist before? After getting revived as he wanted, couldn't you just stay away from him." he said.

His glare fluttered when he heard Hei Jue's words but he didn't avert his eyes and instead answered honestly, "I can't leave his side anymore. I don't feel like they need to live unless it's by Jing'er's side. It is better for me to just die if I cannot even stay beside him." declared Ye Xiajie.

Hue Jue and An Liang were flabbergasted with what they've just heard. For a serious straightforward person like Ye Xiajie who used to be an embodiment of aloofness and indifference to say such mushy words only meant he is serious. 

Ye Xiajie continues to say, "I do not know what was wrong with me in the past. I do not have memories so I cannot explain my side of the story. But I do believe that unless the reason for my actions is for his better good there is no way I would have to ignore Jing'er's advancement. My guess is because I am Ye Gui and because of my life mission target. According to my soul core, Xia Jieye who possessed all of our memories, my life mission target is Jing'er."

This time the couple were shocked to astonishment. 

"WHAT!?"

Everyone in Vearth knew about the Life Mission Target al Ye Gui Race have. It is more like close to the oath toward the heavens and breaking means the destruction of your own soul. This mission is issued by the holder of the soul fragment which is the leader of their race, Lord Ye Mo. Unless one is ready for death it is impossible to decline such a mission.

As if realizing a few more things about the past, this couple, Hei Jue and An Liang had somewhat guessed that the death of Ye Xiajie from the past is connected to this so-called Life Mission of his. 

Hei Jue isn't stupid. He had met Ye Xiajie before. He could even say that his cruelty is close to no one. He doesn't care what or who you are. No matter what origins you have a long as you break the laws of the Divinity, he would capture you, torture you, and punish you in accordance with the rules of the Nether System. It was because of this that lots of people in Vearth call him the Demon God who governs hell.

With a deep frown on his forehead, Nethergod An Liang recalled something in the past. He was on vacation with Ye Xiajie in Inferno a long time ago. But before he could understand what was happening a few men had come over to their place while they were looking for that young man whom they had saved before by the alleys. 

Thoughts of Nethergod An Liang, 'At that time A'Ye didn't explain who those men were. Are they people from the Ye Gui race!? But even then... the destruction of a soul fragment wouldn't directly kill someone, that could only mean in someplace I don't know A'Ye, A'Jing, and Ye Mo met. In that meeting, something happened between the three which ended with A'Ye dying.'

Then An Liang recalled that cold-faced young man from before. He finally found a resemblance of that man's cold countenance to Hei Anjing's original demeanor. He was shocked by his realization. 

Nethergod An Liang asked with a stuttering voice, "A-A'Ye... That time when we went on vacation in Inferno a long time ago... Is that young man who you saved in that back alley didn't happen to be A'Jing? Such coincidence wouldn't happen right!?" 

There's a bewildered look on Ye Xiajie's face after all at this moment he doesn't have any memories of the past. But among them, except for the sleeping Hei Anjing, there is another one who knew the full story. That was System Yue whose memories were restored by System Yang the last time they met. 

[That was Lord Hei. At that time, Lord Hei was testing a newly made system while doing a mission in Inferno. The error caused Lord Hei to enter a vessel of dying cannon fodder and was almost... Then you met him at the alley. That was what Yang told me before.]

Nethergod An Liang mumbled, "Darn! That was really him!" 

"You... Explain things properly to me!" said Hei Jue to his husband.

An Liang came over and whispered everything he knew to his ears. Hei Jue, who learned things he didn't expect, looked at Ye Xiajie as if he was surprised. 

"D-Did you die because... because you didn't want to kill Jing'er?" asked Hei Jue.

Ye Xiajie replied, "I wouldn't kill Jing'er even without that mission nor would I allow someone else to kill him in my presence."

He just indirectly answered Hei Jue of his question. This truth stunned Hei Jue. He had been blaming this man from the start not knowing what this man did for his younger brother.

"I...I..."

Seeing things had ended up like this, Nethergod An Liang supported his wife to leave the area.

"A'Ye we will get going now. You can have Yue initiate the transfer for the next world you wish to enter. Contact me anytime if you need help." said An Liang as he left the space with Hei Jue.

Ye Xiajie just nods once before moving his gaze back to his wife's sleeping figure. He sat at the side of the bed and carefully touched those butterfly wing-like eyelashes. But even though touching it, the latter had no reaction as he was in his deep sleep.

"Yue."

A small fist-sized moon hovers towards Ye Xiajie as if answering his summons.

[You call, my lord?]

"That other me says my wife wouldn't be awake in the system space due to the injuries of his soul. Once we entered the system I would like you to accompany him instead of me," said Ye Xiajie.

[B-But Lord Hei says to... Stay by your side and protect you, my lord. I cannot leave your side unless he asks me to.]

System Yue's words were saying that Hei Anjing's commands are higher than his, which Ye Xiajie doesn't mind but... There is no way he would enter the world without the guidance of the two systems connected to them both, Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang. These two systems were unrestrained by the System Main Systems. They were made to connect to people regardless of distance and space. A special thing that the former God of Void had made for the two of them.

Ye Xiajie was silent for a while as if he was in his deep thoughts. Just as he decided to force System Yue to stay by his wife's side, a small fist-sized sun appeared out of nowhere. As if he was thrown by the darkness itself, this small sun was treated as a ball toy thrown towards Ye Xiajie's face.

This system is Zhi Yang who was supposed to be with his younger brother, Gui Xiajun.

[A'Yang!?]

Ye Xiajie caught the small sun thrown to his face and glared at the moving darkness within the room. He knew that this was done by that other him who could freely control the darkness which he couldn't completely command.

"What the hell are you doing?" said Ye Xiajie. His tone was cold and menacing.

Xia Jieye's voice came from the darkness and said, "I took it back from the brat and gave him his own system. With Zhi Yang beside the little one would give me much more relief than that stupid little moon. I made Zhi Yang with extra specifications for the little one's protection. As long as Zhi Yang exists no one would be able to harm the little one. Make him stay by his side. That stupid moon is yours. The only strength of Zhi Yue is his ability to trace Zhi Yang's location no matter where."

"I see. How's Xiajun?" asked Ye Xiajie as he gently placed the little sun on the top of his wife's chest.

The little moon had hovered around his partner swaying in excitement. It's been a while since the two of them had met each other.

Xia Jieye replied, "The brat is smart. He used a different kind of face that even I had a hard time catching. He will be by my side after this."

"You are going undercover as well?"

"Yes, until we find that bastard's real body. Plus didn't one of his wives take the little one's soul fragment, I'm taking that back too."

"Then... I'll leave it to you. We'll go now," said Ye Xiajie.

Xia Jieye spoke, "You can always contact me through the darkness. Darkness is our absolute domain."

Only then does his voice fade as the black mist that suddenly appeared from the shadows inside the dimension starts to fade.. Xia Jieye, this God of Void's ability to control the darkness is unparalleled in all realms.
