At some small hidden clinic within the slums area.

A man had returned from somewhere wearing a black overall raincoat that hides his whole body including his head and face. If one closely looked at the trails of his steps on the ground a slight droplet of blood was washed away by the rain leaving no traces of blood coming from this man. He went to his backyard, a part of it protected by the rain. He burns up the pile of dry leaves and wood to create a fire.

After removing his black raincoat, he flung it to remove the excess raindrops allowing it to dry. Since it was made from a waterproof material it dried almost instantly and threw the raincoat at the bonfire he made. He watches as the raincoat which was splashed with the blood of his victims slowly burns into ashes. As for the remaining traces of blood, it had been long washed away.

With prayer beads in his right hand, he murmured, “Another poor soul had returned to the side of God.”

At the abandoned church in the suburbs.

Ye Yuyan had gathered his team and together with Officer Ying Wu, they planned to solve it. He first asked what the motive of the killer and Hua Heiyu had given them one. But when they heard it wasn’t the first time this killer had been killed, Officer Ying Wu was surprised as Hua Heiyu also had the same thoughts as Prosecutor Ye. Unknown to him it was the same man who asked Ye Yuyan to gather similar old cases like this current case.

Officer Ying Wu said, “You are amazing. As if your brain works exactly the same way as Prosecutor Ye.”

Wei Lou covered his nose as if he sneezed despite him just holding back his laugh.

Officer Ying Wu said, “It’s raining. So it would definitely be colder. You should have worn long sleeves instead of just a T-shirt.”

“It wasn’t even raining when I left the house. Who thought it would suddenly start raining,” complained Wei Lou.

Ye Yuyan ignored Wei Lou’s stupidity and asked Hua Heiyu, “What do you mean by that? Other cases... Why do you believe that?”

Only Officer Ying Wu felt cold all over, he was tasked to find the files by the Prosecutor who had found some cold cases with results of clumsy killing with the same way of attack and targets. The most recent ones were just a year ago and the most perfected ones were 3 to 2 years ago.

At the corner, Wei Lou whispered to Jie Yun, “Why did it feel like while I’m totally lost about what to do in the case, he is already on the way directly to the truth of the case?”

“Wait. You will know then if he is bluffing or not. But seeing that young officer’s face he must have guessed it all correct.” said Jie Yun.

Both he and Wei Lou noticed Officer Ying Wu’s serious expression. It was in contrast to his usually jolly expression. His hands were even trembling slightly.

Finally, after a short silence, Ye Yuyan clicked his tongue.

“The limbs cutter case? I know that. In the end, when the murderer was caught he had always thought he is a savior but killed those abusive men to their children. They are indeed alike. This time the murderer must think he is saving unborn children. Both are crazy.” said Officer Ying Wu.

Jie Yun commented, “If you are not mad in the head would you kill? The desire for something or for money? All killings have a reason even without one. Isn’t there a reason ‘Because I feel like it’ is enough?”

“That high-end dessert shop at the 23rd street? I heard their soufflé was the best. You are talking about that. But I heard there are 15 flavors and only 5 had vegetables and herbs in them.” said Officer Ying Wu.

Ye Yuyan’s lips twitched and murmured as if restraining his anger, “He wants to eat 10 in one go!? Would that even fit in his stomach?”

“Fine. Once the killer is caught I’ll buy you 20 with drinks. Get the case done as soon as possible.” said Ye Yuyan.

Hua Heiyu’s eyes sparkle with determination. For a man who uses his brain more than everyone, his intake of sugar is more as well. Plus, he loves sweets. This reward is better for him than reducing his prison sentence.

The next morning the team once again split up to do the work. Hua Heiyu stayed with Ye Yuyan as he couldn’t move freely unlike Jie Yun and Wei Lou.

Jie Yun worked alone and once again checked on the crime scenes and looked for the routes and did a shadow image of the events that unfolds in the area.

“No CCTV. No witness. Hidden Alleys with lots of routes to take to hide from other people’s eyes plus the veil of the rain protecting him. He might not be as overly smart as his brother but... If he has knowledge of every crook of the alleys then avoiding the roads where the police patrols are possible.” murmured Jie Yun as he walked from alleys to alleys like a shadow. He is looking at the center point of these hidden routes.

It took him three hours to go through all the alleys and found an inconspicuous clinic within the slums area. He stares at this clinic and remembers something that Hua Heiyu had said yesterday.

Jie Yun observes the clinic while mumbling, “Hidden or unlicensed surgeon.”

Suddenly someone from the alum tapped his shoulders and said, “Hey! Why are you looking at Doctor Shen’s clinic?”

He went to small unaffiliated mafia groups which were made by his former subordinates. In reality, these people suddenly just appeared a year ago out of nowhere. These gangsters had hidden identities. They are undercover police officers and Lou Wei’s most special elite with connections to Aster.

He knocked on the ordinary wooden door of the money loan officer and leaned on the door.

As Yi Rouya this hidden spy left the area, Ye Yuyan finally stopped acting cold and hugged Hei Yuhua from behind acting clingy as always.

Hei Yuhua said, “I don’t know how he was able to stay by your side in our previous life?”
