I don’t understand why I’m in the Temple of Rutte.

I rolled my head to figure things out and managed to recall my last memory.

The last place I was in before I had the dream was the Imperial Palace before I lost my mind. Even with Askale by my side, I was probably immediately transferred to people who could help me.

However, there was no sign of Askale nearby, and even the new priest, who was always by my side, was nowhere to be seen.

The absence of the priest made my heart at peace, but it was bizarre.

All the priests who performed the healer work belonged to the Temple of Ursilla, which enshrines the God of Life, the Sun God. The priests in the white robes in front of them were also dressed to signify belonging to the temple of Ursilla.

However, it was strange that this was not a Temple of Ursilla, but of Rutte.

In addition, the Temple of Rutte was not a common temple.

Rutte was the God of Death, as opposed to Ursilla, the God of Life.

“Why are you here?”

However, even though I was confused and had many questions, people bowed their heads without saying a word.

Lionel’s hand, which was holding my hand, trembled faintly.

“Listen carefully.”

Lionel’s voice sank deeply.

In the meantime, I could examine Lionel’s face in detail, and his face was as prudent and rough as a man who had not slept properly for several days.

The darkly shaded eyes looked tired and the burton lips did not match him.

It was obvious something was off.

And at that moment, Lionel’s lips, which had been quivering for a long time, opened.

“I couldn’t breathe.”

“What?”

What did I do?

Lionel’s face was distorted when I opened my eyes. His lips were trembling as if it were hard to breathe through his mouth.

“You didn’t- You weren’t breathing.”

I sprang to my feet from where I was lying. But at that moment, I couldn’t keep my balance due to my spinning vision.

When I stumbled, Lionel immediately took me into his arms and helped me.

As I unconsciously pushed his chest away, Cionel embraced me with greater force.

He whispered in a mournful voice, his lips sticking to my ear.

“Please. Please calm down. It’s all right, Lindel. It’s all right.”

But of course, I couldn’t calm down. It was hard to believe that I had stopped breathing even though I was still very much alive.

When I still showed signs of overexertion, one of the priests standing still behind Lionel stepped forward, and the priest said to me with a sad face.

“It hasn’t been long since your soul has calmed down, so it’s going to be hard if you keep moving suddenly. Please calm down.”

I was all the more disgusted with the untimely soul joke.

Lionel told me that he stopped breathing, but this time the priest brought up the story of the soul.

I thought that while I was unconscious, the gentleman in question talked nonsense again.

“Again, the new priest! Is that what the new priest said?”

When I shouted in a shrill voice, Lionel stroked me on the back as if to calm me down.

Lionel denied it.

“It’s not him. The priest said you couldn’t help yourself.”

“Then who, who else would say that nonsense?!”

I’ve had enough of this soul talk. I didn’t know what they meant when they said I stopped breathing, but I had a lot to say about the soul stuff.

Everyone was anxious to see me like this when I was excited and hyperventilated.

In particular, Lionel hugged me tightly and began to convince me to calm down. He looked more cautious than ever.

Lionel treated me like I was about to break, and like I was helpless.

“Well, I understand your concern because I stopped breathing for a second. But the soul, for such a ridiculous reason, it was too much to come to the temple of Rutte.”

I was saying the right thing on my part. However, Lionel, who had been affectionate so far, has changed.

He immediately looked at me with a frozen face. I paused a little.

“Wait a minute…?”

Lionel’s arm, which hugged me, became tense. It wasn’t painful but it was a strong force that caught me.

“Three days.”

Lionel answered, biting his molars.

“It’s been three days since you stopped breathing.”
