"...?" Stark just wanted to keep sleeping, he didn't know for how long he slept, but to him, it seemed as if he had taken a ten-minutes nap, "What...?"
He was still being shaken by the figure that was yelling his name.
And once Stark was fully aware of his surroundings... he finally understood.
"The ceremony is in an hour, wake up dumbass," the figure was none other than Lana.
"Yeah..." he had finally heard her, and guessed that he had slept for two whole days.
Stark rubbed his eyes then got up.
"I was wondering what you were doing, sometimes, not answering for days on end, yet you were just... sleeping?" Lana asked, her voice was annoyed, but there was a massive sense of relief in it too.
"Doesn't matter," Stark pulled out a cereal box and mill from his [Spatial Inventory] and prepared his breakfast, "The biggest question is how did you get in my room if I had the card."
It didn't take long for him to look at her hands and see an exact copy of his room card.
"Alright, can you get out so I can dress?" Stark ignored that and decided that getting ready for the entrance ceremony was more important.
Stark wore the most casual of clothes for this big event, then he left his room ten minutes later.
Lana was waiting for him outside, she was wearing a beautiful white dress with a skirt that reached her knees.
"...Let's go," Stark never pays attention to this sort of thing, so the two went out of their apartment and complex and hailed for an available driver.
Surprisingly, it was quite difficult to find one, and even after ten minutes nobody was there.
"It's the entrance ceremony of the most powerful school in Fellarburg, so of course the capital is gonna be packed..." Lana sighed, "This is why I wanted to go early, but SOMEONE was sleeping."
"Should have just gone ahead by yourself, I would have woken up and started running either way," Stark smiled.
"..." Lana didn't have an answer, so she used her ultimate technique in such situations: pouting.
After another ten minute, a lone taxi driver appeared before the two upcoming students.
But... after less than five minutes...
They met a roadblock.
There were hundreds of cars, and thousands of people roaming around, both classifiers and reporters wanting to show the entrance ceremony to the real world.
It was a true festival, and there was no chance in hell they would reach it at this pace.
"...Alright, thanks for the drive mister," Stark opened the door and dragged Lana (after she paid) outside, carrying her on his back as he activated his aura and jumped on top of a building.
Surprisingly, dozens of people had the same idea as him as they were all running toward the academy, all students of course.
~DASH~
Almost felt like some sort of cult: everyone need to be in their own places, respecting the space they had been given.
"..."
Lana and Stark found two squares titled [2729] and [2730] since they were right in front of one another.
[There are 5000 squares], a panel above a stage at the end of the room could be seen on a holographic screen, [And 5358 people have been accepted into this academy, I think you already know what this means.]
This was just revealed to everyone who entered, meaning that...
[People who are late aren't worthy, no matter how strong they are.]
"Oh."
"I guess you can thank me," Lana tapped Stark's shoulder from behind.
"Yeah yeah," he couldn't deny he would have woken up at the last minute, possibly meaning he would have been among the 358 that were going to be expelled for not having a square.
[4 minutes until entrance ceremony]
The more time passed, the harder it was to acquire a square for yourself, since there were more and more people filling up the empty spaces.
Even Stark and Lana had a hard time, and it was by sheer luck they found some that were right next to each at one of the lanes very far from the entrance.
The sound of cheering from classifiers and reporters was omnipresent, and Stark heard from some people nearby that this was actually broadcasted live for the entire country.
Just what was so good about such a school?
I mean, he could feel the aura in the air, it was pretty damn powerful, but so what?
What could make this school so different and difficult...?
Stark didn't know, but he would for sure come to find out.
And suddenly... right as all the squares were taken, and the timer reached zero...
~THUMP~
The red door that was revealing the outside suddenly closed out of nowhere, leaving every student in pure darkness.
[Anybody who leaves their squares from now on are expelled]
And such a message appeared on the holographic screen above the stage.
