Chapter 67 The Heroine's Endings. [1]

"Let me first start with..."

Gu Xia muttered, looking at each heroine.

Seeing that he was going to pick, the heroines all had starry eyes.

They all wanted to be picked, super badly.

After a minute or so, Gu Xia's eyes landed on Shu Ling who was wearing a maid uniform.

"I'll start with you, iceberg."

He spoke as he laughed.

Hearing this, a smile formed on Shu Ling's face as she moved her positioning to sit on her knees.

All though the rest of the heroines were pretty disappointed that they weren't selected...

They still thought it would be interesting to know the other endings.

So, they weren't that salty.

Gu Xia cleared his throat and began to spill out the ending for Shu Ling.

"Ok, Shu Ling... Your ending is becoming the second wife to Lin Fan and achieving your dream of opening the biggest clothing/makeup brand in the world."

"Though... Lin Fan does neglect you after a month into your marriage to spoil his other harem members."

"After a while you start to be forgotten by Lin Fan who... At some point ascended to the cultivation world..."

Rubbing his forehead, Gu Xia extended his arm and platted Shu Ling on the head.

He tried to ease her pain which kind of worked.

With a couple of sniffles and wiping her eyes, Shu Ling slightly blushed as she nodded her head once.

"Y-Yeah... Thank god I died with my innocence."

Gu Xia showed a small smile as he began patting her head more.

"That's the spirit."

Taking his hand off Shu Ling's head, she seemed somewhat sad when his touch left her head... He looked over at Lin Yen.

Lin Yen's body tensed up as she stared at Gu Xia, waiting for him to tell her the ending she was fated with.

Cracking his hands, Gu Xia looked Lin Yen in the eyes and began speaking.

"Lin Yen... You became the third wife of Lin Fan and achieved your dream of becoming rich, as stated in the novel you began living a luxury life."

"Lin Fan treated you well and didn't neglect you at all."

"You wanted a child, but... Lin Fan rejected it outright stating it was too much responsibility."

"You became angry and this caused a supposed 'cute' scene for you acting out bitchy and stuff."

"That was the last time you saw Lin Fan, then what happened to Shu Ling happened to you..."

"But instead of dying in the countryside peacefully, you overdosed in your private villa due to the severe depression of being lonely and abandoned."

Lin Yen could only cover her mouth with both of her white petite hands.

She was speechless.

Every time she tried to open her mouth no words left.

The utter shock she was in was terrifying.

Just imagining herself going through that caused multiple emotions to turmoil inside her.

Not even a second has passed and she started tearing up.

"D-D-Did... I-I... At least find out Lin Fan's father killed my parents?"

Lin Yen looked at Gu Xia with helpless eyes, her voice was breaking into sorrow.

Gu Xia sighed, he could only shake his head.

Indicating she didn't find out.

Tears dripped down her cheeks and onto the bed sheets.

Out of nowhere she launched her body at Gu Xia's chest and held onto his collar.

Her face pressed against his broad chest and her snot and tears began appearing on his clothes.

Gu Xia, like he did for Shu Ling, did the same thing for Lin Yen.

He began patting her head, trying to calm her.

After a couple minutes Lin Yen stopped crying, she passed out due to many reasons such as a mental breakdown.

Gu Xia gently removed her face from his chest, ignoring the current condition of his cloth he laid her body onto the bed.

The heroines who haven't been told their endings all felt scared.

Seeing what just played out in front of them... Really did put a dent into their worries.

They all started to become anxious.

Gu Xia eyed the heroines.

"Do you still want to know your endings?"

He asked with a neutral voice.

After some time each heroine nodded their head.

Taking a deep breath, Gu Xia looked at the police heroine, Yen Ying.

"Yen Ying... You became Lin Fan's fourth wife and achieved your dream of becoming the best officer in the country, racking up many great achievements."

"You and Lin Fan... Barely ever spoke after the wedding."

"Lin Fan tried to take you out on dates and such, but you were too busy with work."

"So, Lin Fan stopped trying and focused on his other harem members."

Gu Xia replied with the same tone he's held this entire time, neutral.

"I see... I'll make sure I won't repeat that mistake then."

Yen Ying whispered to herself.

Her voice was inaudible to everyone present, even Gu Xia and Ai Yao couldn't hear it.

Taking his focus off Yen Ying, Gu Xia looked over at Xu Ruo who slightly shivered under his gaze.

"Xu Ruo... You... Did not become a wife of Lin Fan."

"After learning that Lin Fan used you to get close to Shu Ling you became jealous and developed hatred."

"That hatred was aimed at Shu Ling... You were the only heroine who turned dark."

"After a year you became fed up with all the scenes of Shu Ling and Lin Fan flirting..."

"You quit your job and tried to ruin Shu Ling's companies which resulted in failure."

"Lin Fan learned about this and killed you..."

Xu Ruo felt her entire brain shut down after Gu Xia stopped talking.

She was completely shocked at her ending.

She even wanted to deny that it wasn't her ending.

She instantly turned her head toward Shu Ling and bowed her head low onto the bedsheets.

"Shu Ling! I would never betray you!"

Her voice was loud and clear.

Shu Ling was taken back at the sudden movement and hurriedly told her assistant to stop bowing.

"Xu Ruo, please lift your head."

She spoke softly.

Xu Ruo did as she was told.

Shu Ling showed a gentle smile before hugging the woman.

This action caught Xu Ruo off guard, but she didn't struggle at all.

"Xu Ruo, don't feel guilty... You were 'programmed' to act like that... Blame your heroine halo."

Shu Ling whispered these words into Xu Ruo's left ear.

Xu Ruo sniffled softly and nodded her head.

"Umu..."

After some time, they both separated.

Seeing that everything began calming down, Gu Xia looked over at Gu Xiang, his older sister.

"Gu Xiang... You became Lin Fan's first wife and achieved your dream of... Inheriting all of the Gu family's assets."

Before Gu Xia could continue speaking, Gu Xiang yelled.

"Impossible! That isn't my dream!"

Gu Xia's eyebrows raised.
