Chapter 80 Guilt.

Returning back, Gu Xia was met with both mother and daughter who had been waiting patiently the entire time.

The two petite women were having a small conversation, talking about life and such.

Chang Wen was the first to notice the air change slightly, so she knew that her master had returned.

She stopped having a conversation with her mother and turned her body and face toward Gu Xia with a gentle smile and when her eyes landed on her little sister who was sleeping like a little koala made her eyes turn soft, she couldn't help but bring up the cute sight.

"I see, my little sister fell asleep on your shoulders, such an adorable sight... Can I take a picture?"

Gu Xia lightly shrugged his shoulders, only a little though because he didn't want to wake up the adorable human on his shoulders, he then gave the go ahead for the picture.

"Sure, make sure you send it to me!"

Chang Wen rolled her eyes, not in the passive-aggressive response to an undesirable situation or person but to the fact that such a dark cold human being was being so gentle and kind... Like hello, this man has killed without even caring one single fucking bit! Sighing, she nodded her head as she opened her mouth.

"Yeah, yeah, I'll send it to you."

Chang Tong who noticed the conversation between her daughter and Gu Xia felt a slight hint of jealousy in her heart. It's been years since she's gotten to have this type of conversation with her husband... Nowadays he just sleeps/recovers on the mattress upstairs and when he is awake he's always in a shit mood.

'Oh, I envy such a relationship...'

As she was thinking this with envious eyes that looked over at Gu Xia, Chang Wen had already taken the pictures using her phone, she then sent the pictures to her master, after so, Gu Xia took out his phone. Once he made sure he had the pictures he turned his head toward Chang Tong who was caught off guard by the handsome face and let out a random yelp? Gu Xia showed an awkward smile as he spoke to the mother.

"Excuse me, can you lead me to Chang Li's bedroom? I want her to sleep on something more comfortable then my shoulders."

Chang Tong's face slightly turned red from the embarrassment she shot herself with... Nodding her head she muttered cutely as she turned around and walked around the corner.

"Please follow me..."

Gu Xia glanced over at Chang Wen to only see that she had the same expression as his... Confusion. Both Ex Villain and heroine followed Chang Tong who led them around a corner then up a skinny staircase that went upward for a couple of steps until they reached another floor, Chang Tong then turned right and then she arrived in a small room where Gu Xia and Chang Wen soon accompanied her. Gu Xia, seeing such a pathetic room, clicked his tongue in disgust as he complained out loud.

"Chang Li has been living in such a shit hole? Unbelievable, right when the sun comes up your family will live in the private villa I've fully bought, don't worry it has a pool, golf course, racetrack, bar, movie theater, and many other amazing attractions. Also, the private villa has 10 bedrooms so, you should be fine."

Hearing all this, Chang Tong's entire head shot toward Gu Xia and her tiredness seemed to have fully disappeared, she spoke in a rushed way while stuttering out of her fucking mind as she waved her hands rapidly in the air in front of her.

"N-N-N-No... W-We coul-couldn't intrude like that!"

Even Chang Wen was full of shock when she heard this, as she saw Gu Xia's private villa which didn't even have a golf course, racetrack, and the other stuff that was mentioned for the private villa he had fully bought, so she couldn't help but bring that up...

"Gu Xia... Not even your private villa hold such luxury... Are you sure?"

In response to this, Gu Xia's eyebrows raised and he waved his hand lazily showing that he knew. He didn't need that extra shit, if he wanted to he could just buy out multiple private golf courses that were around the country, he made sure to bring this up to the heroine who was still in disbelief.

"Remember, I'm rich as fuck. One word and I could buy this entire area and with a single project I could make this entire area a natural clean neighborhood. But, sadly this would hurt me business wise and I don't want my reputation to get more fucked up then it already is."

While Gu Xia laughed at his own words, Chang Tong seemed to have fully awakened as her tiredness was fully gone due to the pure shock that ran around her body like lightning. With her eyes widening and her body shaking, she fell to her knees and bowed her head, reason? She came to a realization that she was utterly ignoring... The man in front of her was the heir to the Gu Family... The most powerful family in China. Her voice began to shake as she opened her mouth.

"I-I-I-I apologize for treating you with such lowly respect, I didn't mean to offend you."

Seeing her mother on the dirty floor bowing her head in fear, caused Chang Wen to rush over to her mother and forcefully drag her up to her feet. Showing a concerned expression, Chang Wen tightly held onto her mothers shoulders in an eagle-like grip, she couldn't help but condemn her mother.

"Mother, how could you bow your head in fear! This entire time, Gu Xia didn't flaunt his background nor did he use his status to pressure us, he used that power to help our family!"

Chang Tong, who wasn't stupid, quickly came to what her daughter was saying and when she did... Self-disappointment appeared in her heart, she clearly saw how much Gu Xia treated herself and her family with love and kindness and she dared get scared at his background, even though he didn't use it in the slightest way to harm them, so, she was quick to apologize.

"I'm sorry for acting like that... Even though you treated us so kindly... I-"

Before she could finish speaking her last words, Gu Xia showed a small smile, and walked over and grabbed both of her hands and held it close to his chest, he then interrupted her.

"Don't worry about it."

Hearing such a smooth and calming voice, Chang Tong felt her heart flutter and her ears turn a little red, she internally shook her head, guilt plagued her mind at a rapid speed, the image of her husband appeared inside her head, happy moments played between them before their life went to hell... She unconsciously pulled her hands away from Gu Xia's and showed a half smile on her pretty face as she asked a quick question that popped inside her head.

"T-Thank you... I'll get some deserved sleep, will you sleep here or will you head back to your home?"

Ignoring the action that transpired a couple seconds ago, Gu Xia answered her question as he took a step back, out of respect for her. He wasn't going to pull off a ugly bastard moment, from what NTR does, although... He isn't a ugly bastard... But a handsome bastard... But, he wouldn't just cuck anyone, he has ethics and morals himself, if Chang Tong threw herself at him, he would gladly accept. He wouldn't just steal the milf out of pure lust.

Chang Tong seemed to have taken notice of his movement out of respect for herself which caused her guilt to fade away and instead a little warm fire was lit inside her emotions and she found herself without knowing showing a warm smile while her eyes were tenderly looking at Gu Xia.

Chang Wen who wore a tense smile felt the air become fussy, she was a woman, so she knew what that look was... After all, she's done the same thing before... But, seeing her mother do it even though she is married is a big NO, NO, NO! She didn't want her mother to become trapped in Gu Xia's harem which would make any woman's outlook on life and pleasure become distorted. She tapped her mother on the shoulder and whispered in her ear.

"Mother, I think you should get to bed..."

Hearing the small quiet words enter her ear, Chang Tong snapped out of her warm moment and nodded her head thrice before leaving the room in a hurry, she didn't want to get emotionally trapped...
