–Miranda-Lilibel locks the door to her own store, “Miranda Drug Store”.

“Well. Well then, let’s go.”

With that, Miranda headed for the ride’s stop.

–In the end, Bujin convinced Miranda to go on a trip to Viscount Boujacque’s estate.

The trip was paid for by Bujin. He even arranged for a carriage.

Miranda decided to accept the invitation, thinking that she would never have the opportunity to travel with such high treatment.

In a sense, she was right.

At the stop, a carriage was waiting for her with a very elegant decoration.

From that carriage, a person approached Miranda.

“It is Ms. Miranda Lilibel?”

“Yes,. Who are you?”

“I have been asked by Sir Bujin. I am the coachman and escort for the duration of this trip.”

Bujin had prepared a man who was both an adventurer and a coachman.

“Oh, I see. Thank you very much for being my escort.”

“Ahaha. I will protect you in case of an emergency, even if it costs me my life. Let’s get going.”

“Yes, thank you.”

And so – Miranda left the Royal Capital.

The first day passed uneventfully.

The man in charge was well-traveled and took the lead in taking care of Miranda.

Thanks to this, Miranda finished the first day without much difficulty, even though it was her first time traveling.

On the second day, a stray monster attacked her only once, but the coachman easily counterattacked.

Other than that, the second day ends without incident.

On the third day, the road passes near a remote forest, far from the royal capital.

“I hear there are some bandits around here these days. Let’s pass by quickly.”

“Yes, please.”

“If they know a woman is there, they are more likely to be attacked. Please close the windows and hide in the carriage for a while.”

“Yes, I understand.”

With a nervous look on her face, Miranda converses with the coachman.

After about an hour had passed – the carriage shook violently.

The carriage suddenly stopped.

With the windows closed and unable to talk to the coachman, Miranda was bewildered. She was in a panic, not knowing what had happened.

She was about to open the window on the coachman’s side to ask him what had happened.

–The door of the carriage was kicked down with a bang!

“Heh heh! Target found~!”

A man wearing dirty clothes, who appeared to be a bandit, appeared.

With sword in hand, he approaches Miranda.

“No, no!”

“Stop screaming! If you don’t want to be killed, be quiet!”

“Hiii!”

Threatened, Miranda is unable to move out of fear.

The bandit uses a rope to tie up Miranda, who consequently becomes docile.

After she is unable to resist, he pulls on the rope and takes Miranda out of the carriage.

“Hey, walk yourself and follow me!”

“Yes ……”

Because of her fear, Miranda obeys meekly.

And so, when she steps out of the carriage – she sees an unbelievable sight.

“This can’t be …… Mr. Coachman?”

To her surprise, among the several bandits, there was the man who had been traveling with her.

There was no sign that he was being held captive, and as a matter of course, they were conversing with each other.

When the gentleman noticed Miranda’s gaze, he grinned.

“I’m sorry. It’s part of my job.”

In other words – this coachman has been on the same team as the thieves from the very beginning.

(No …… but, I can’t give up hope yet.)

Yes, Miranda had not given up yet.

She knew that since she had been kidnapped, perhaps Bujin would soon find out.

And she was sure that he would do everything in his power to help her.

(Sir Bujin …… I’ll believe and wait for you.)
