“I can’t trust a stranger. I don’t want any party members, no matter who they are.”

Cyclo said and refused to join the party.

Deimos offered a compromise.

“Then you should buy a slave. A slave that is bound by slavery magic, that is.”

There are slaves who became slaves for various reasons, such as criminal slaves and debt slaves.

Only a small percentage of these slaves are forced into absolute obedience to their masters by a special magic called slavery magic.

A handful of slaves who need absolute obedience to their masters for various reasons, such as violent criminals or high-class slaves sent as offerings to nobles, are bound to act by the use of slavery magic.

In other words, Deimos was saying that a slave who would be subjugated by that slavery magic would be trustworthy.

Cyclo agreed with this.

As a result, Cyclo received a letter of introduction from Deimos to the slaver.

And the next day, Cyclo immediately visited the store of the slaver he was introduced to.

“Welcome.”

Cyclo first handed Deimos’ letter of introduction and then said to the slaver…

“I would like to buy a slave as a member of my dungeon attack team. Only those whose actions are binded with slavery magic.”

“Slaves who can be used with slavery magic and to explore the dungeon, huh …… With those conditions, the number of slaves will be small, though?”

“That’s fine. Let me see them all.”

“Yes, sir.”

The slaver led Cyclo to the back of the store.

After that, the slaver introduced slaves who met the conditions in turn, but none of them satisfied Cyclo.

First of all, they were too weak.

Some of them were former B-rank adventurers, but even so, in Cyclo’s eyes, they were no match for him.

If that were the case, it would take a lot of time and effort to train them to go to the deeper levels of the Deep Hole.

Considering this, none of the slaves could be said to be in good condition.

“How was it?”

“…… Sorry, but I’ll change the conditions. I won’t change the fact that we are going to explore the dungeon, but we will take care of the training. I don’t care how strong they are, so please make sure they are as obedient and easy to handle as possible.”

The slaver also looked worried when Cyclo told them.

The slaver says hesitantly.

“A status slave?”

“A person who has only the status of a slave, either by birth or by birthright. The children of slaves or those who have fallen into slavery because they possess such “Job Skill” fall into this category.”

At the mention of “Job skill,” Cyclo reacts.

“…… bring that person to me.”

“You don’t mind, sir?”

“Just get on with it.”

The slavers rush to bring the slave in response to Cyclo’s hurried words.

The slave who was brought to the place where Cyclo was waiting was a girl.

“This is the status slave girl I introduced to you earlier. A girl who was enslaved by the laws of her country because of her “Wicked Believer” job skill.”
