Volume 5 - CH 3

While Karim and Cyclo were secretly conversing, Mist was continuing her training.

Karim decided that she had done enough training, and then it was Cyclo’s turn.

After doing enough training in exploration. Finally, it was time for today’s main event. Their first battle with a monster as a party was about to begin.

“Then it’s time for the real battle. I and Cyclo will restrain the monster, and Mist will kill it with magic. We’ll check our coordination and level up Mist at the same time.”

“Yes!”

Mist and Cyclo each replied, and finally the action began.

Karim moves in the lead. Mist is a little further behind. Furthermore, standing beside Mist, as if to protect her, is Cyclo.

In this formation, each of them scouted and searched the surrounding area while moving deeper into the forest.

Cyclo knows where the target monster is by the effect of clock sensing, but this time, he dares not to say anything because it is also a training exercise.

After walking for about ten minutes, they encounter the target monster.

The bear-shaped monster growls. Unlike ordinary bears, it has claws as sharp as knives and magnificent horns.

“This is the strongest monster in this forest, a killer bear. With Cyclo and my support, I think even Mist can defeat it.”

And so the battle begins.

Karim was the first to move forward.

Karim drew his sword and attacked Killer Bear.

With Karim’s strength, it was possible for her to hit Killer Bear in the neck. But this time, she dares to go easy on the Killer Bear in order to see how well the party works together.

Karim’s flash of her sword cut through the skin of the killer bear as if to intimidate it.

Angered by the attack, the Killer Bear rises and swings his arm.

Unfortunately, however, he has the wrong opponent. The difference in status between him and Karim was overwhelming, and she easily succeeded in evading the attack.

The Killer Bear’s arm cuts through the air, creating a gap.

Cyclo pounces on that point.

He aims Mystletainn at the Killer Bear with a shot to intimidate and suppress it, using a rubber bullet with a greatly weakened power.

Even with rubber bullets, the power of the Mystletainn cannot be ignored because of its exceptional performance.

They hit the Killer Bear one after another, giving him a shock as if he had been hit by a heavy blow.

“Guuooooooooooooooohhh!”

Confused by the unidentified damage, the Killer Bear his arms about at random.

Karim, who is not staying away from the Killer Bear, delivers a sword flash to the bear. She inflicts shallow wounds on its arms and legs, steadily damaging it.

“–Please move away!”

Mist’s voice echoes. The preparations for activating the magic are done.

Karim understands this and quickly retreats. She also clears the line of fire so that Mist’s magic can easily aim at the Killer Bear.

“[Shine Lance]!”

And then Mist’s magic – a type of light magic, the most powerful attack magic Mist can currently handle, Shine Lance, was activated.

Then, in an instant, a huge spear of light is generated.

Immediately afterwards, the spear flies with great vigor, aiming at the Killer Bear.

The spear of light–precisely pierces through the Killer Bear’s torso, and with the momentum it carries, it drags the Killer Bear’s huge body, piercing and sewing it to the ground.

Then, the killer bear, pierced through the torso, let out a decisive cry.

Cyclo was the first to rejoice.

He was as pleased as if it were his own that Mist had defeated the killer bear with a single blow.

Cyclo is no longer uncomfortable playing with Mist, and Mist says it’s embarrassing but does not resist.

Karim, watching the two of them, says while making a gesture as if he is going to spit something out.

After that, the three of them encountered monsters several times, checking their coordination and having Mist kill them, and continued leveling.

Eventually, as the sun began to set and the forest began to dim, they returned to Northfolia.
