“Sorry for the wait.”

“Oh, you’re back……what did you two talk about?”

“Fufu, that’s a secret to you, Seiya-kun!……that being said, I think you will find out soon anyway.”

Suzuka and Eihashi-san told me as much when they came back but if Suzuka is willing to let on that much then can’t she just tell me?

Still, when I glanced at Eihashi-san, she’s shaking her head sideways at an extreme speed so I think it would be wise to not press further.

“Well, whatever…..still, don’t you have to go join your friend soon, Suzuka? I think it’s already been 30 minutes since you found me you know……if you think that it’s fine then I don’t mind if you stay though.”

“Eh? Ah, that’s right! I’ve got to call them! See you later okay! Also, do your best Reika-chan! I won’t lose, okay!”

“Y, Yes! Thank you very much! I won’t lose either!”

I don’t really get it but it seems that Suzuka was cheering Eihashi-san for something. Eihashi-san is planning to do something I guess.

It seems that I will know what it is soon but right now I can’t do anything but quietly cheer her on in my heart since I still have no clue about what that something is at all.

“Well, let’s eat all this first and clean up here.”

“Yeah, here, have my fried chicken, I bought a lot.”

“I’m going to overstuff for sure!”

Kebab, fried chicken, corn dogs, grilled chicken. We have all the standard festival food.

When thinking about Japanese festivals, the image of yakisoba used to be quite prominent but nowadays foods that don’t really fill you up like Kebab are the mainstream.

No matter how much we bought, we are still sharing it between 5 people. The food we placed down disappeared in a blink of an eye.

“Phew, that was a meal. Hmm……what time is it now, OH! Hey, if we go now, we should be able to see the fireworks right?”

“Yeah! The crowd is really discouraging but let’s go!”

“Then let’s clean up and get moving! Masato-senpai, please throw these away!”

“Alright!…….Wait, did I just get duped again!?

Masato went away to throw out the trash while complaining so. Normally, I’d be the one that got tricked into buying him something so seeing him like this kind of reminds me of the old me.

Well, Masato is the type that would do things of his own will so he probably just goes along with Misaki I guess.

“Well, for the time being, let’s find us a place with a good view first.”

“Yes, since we are already here, I want to look at it from up close.”

“If that’s the case then let’s move! ‘We need to strike while it’s hot!’”

“You are using that phrase wrong! I’m going to take an entrance exam soon so I studied a lot!”

We get moving while having such a casual conversation. Also, Misaki said that she would be relying on me for her exam preparation but I really don’t know if she can motivate herself to study when the time comes. That being said, finding good fireworks watching spot comes first.

It’s true that there’s no fixed area where we need to watch fireworks from but the good spot would usually get taken early on in a festival like this.

That’s why Ichinose-san told us that if we don’t hurry and get a move on, there won’t be any good spot left for us.

And perhaps because people are scrambling to get a good spot for themselves, someone bumped into Eihashi-san sending her off balance.

“Eihashi-san…..!”

I reached out and caught her in my arms.

“Phew…..are you okay? Any injury?”

“Eh, n, no. I’m okay. Thank you.”
