The protagonist of this game.

A hot-blooded young man who cherishes his friends.

He can be too clingy sometimes but since he’s always looking out for his friends, the girls often easily fall for him.

The people around him see him as the exact opposite of Akechi Hideyori, his best, and childhood friend, but the person himself seems to enjoy his friendship with Hideyori.

Juumonji Risa.

Although they are not twins, she’s Takeru’s same-age younger sister.

She seems to be tired of dealing with her brother’s siscon tendency but in truth, she’s a brocon who loves her brother very much.

She also often takes a photo of her brother’s sleeping face with her phone.

The clueless protagonist who could not see the hatred Akechi Hideyori held toward him ever since the moment they first met.

He is also quite dense when it comes to romance.

The useless protagonist who was completely clueless while the heroines around him suffer at the hand of Hideyori.

On one hand, there wouldn’t be the game if he noticed Hideyori’s hatred toward him from the start.

He’s always the last to notice how grave the situation has become.

Since his [Anti-Gift] was quite underutilized, we’d like to expand more on his Gift if we ever do a second installment.

When we saw how low he ranked in the popularity poll, we all went [Yep] though (lol).

Juumonji Risa

Visually speaking, she’s like a gender-bent Takeru.

Takeru’s androgynous face fit unexpectedly well with a female character so we went with it.

We are aware that many players dislike a clingy brocon so we’ve made sure to include her age-appropriate bashfulness as well.

If only Hideyori wasn’t such a scumbag, he would be a good fit for her.

Character Introduction [For this Novel]

Juumonji Takeru

Because I have removed the scumbag element from Hideyori, they are now an ordinary pair of good friends.

I thought that boys who chat about gravure magazines seem really close to each other so I tried including it in.

I was wondering if I should include […..and the useless protagonist] into the title but,

When I did include that, it feels like he would just remain the useless protagonist forever.

His main thing is that he’s the one who’s always kept in the dark whenever something happens.

I did bash him quite a bit but he’s actually a character I quite like.

When I wrote the scenario for Risa’s original [Happy End], I thought to myself, [Is this really a happy ending though…….]

Conversely speaking, the game’s Takeru was someone who wouldn’t show up unless the situation get that bad.

I think the scenes I write best are the ones where Hideyori and Emi get their just dessert for their evil deed.

Please think of these scenes like when you read [Kindaichi] or [Conan] where the case can truly get resolved only after the damage was done.

Right now, Risa is still rather weak as a character but please look forward to seeing her growth in the future.
