Akechi Hideyori be a Stranger
We arrived at the coffee shop’s entrance.
I seriously want to just turn on my heels and go home but seeing how enthusiastic Eien-chan is about introducing me to this place, I just can’t bring myself to ruin her mood.
“There aren’t many customers here but it gives you the feeling like you discovered a secret shop doesn’t it. Also, the atmosphere here is pretty calming you know.”
“H, Hmm…….., is that so.”
“I was here just last Sunday.”
“H, Hmmm…….., I see.”
What a coincidence.
I was having coffee here last Sunday too.
I wanted to say that.
Let’s pretend it’s my first time here and try to not meet eyes with Master as much as possible.
That’s the only way.
.
.
.
And thus, with not a clue of what was going on inside my head, Eien-chan entered the shop.
.
.
.
“Welcome.”
“Ah! Hello, Master-san.”
“Hi, Miyamura-san right. You came again.”
I’ve never seen Master acting so youthful before.
It’s so funny but I have to grit my teeth and hold my laughter.
“Hehe, actually, I brought you a new customer today, Master-san. It’s this man.”
“Ohh, as expected of you Miyamura-san. With how popular you’re, he must have fallen for you immediately right.”
“Come on, he’s not that kind of person. Let me introduce you, this is Akechi Hideyori-san.”
“Ha?”
!?
.
.
.
.
I was planning to pretend to be a total stranger but there’s no way I can do that if she just gave Master my full name.
My head immediately went into overdrive trying to come up with a plan.
“N, Nice to meet yo~u. I’m Akechi. Please take care of me Master-sa~n.”
“…………..”
In the end, I decided to push through with pretending to be a complete stranger with oddly the same name and face as the Akechi Hideyori Master knows.
His eyes turned into dots as though he was asking me [The heck are you doing?]
He seemed even more weirded out than when I told him about my previous life last Sunday.
.
.
“This place has a good atmosphere isn’t it, Hideyori-san.”
“Y, Y, Y, Ye, Yeah, it sure has!”
“You’re being too nervous Hideyori-san. And you’re always so confident. It’s like I’m getting to know more about you.”
“E, Even a war veteran like Akechi Mitsuhide can get nervous when the Honnouji incident happens, you know. It feels somewhat like that for me right now.”
“Fufu, you’re too funny Hideyori-san.”
.
.
Eien-chan giggled at my weird attitude.
Her smile looked like it came out of a painting……
I love it!
……….not that, I need to get myself out of this awkward situation with Master first……..
Eien-chan seems like she has a lot of fun right now so she doesn’t notice the awkwardness between Master and me.
“…….here, have a seat at the counter.”
Master switched to his adult mode.
It seems he read my intention.
But he urged us to sit at the counter.
Even though the table seats would be just fine, he pointed us to the counter.
He’s fully intending to make fun of me isn’t he.
“Oka~~y.”
Eien-chan immediately agreed and took a seat in front of Master.
He blocked my table-seats escape route.
Glancing at his face, I can see darkness emanating from his smile.
“Hideyori-san, over here.”
“Y, Yeah…….”
I have no choice but to sit down next to Eien-chan.
“Miyamura-san, did you go on a date today?”
“Eh? Ehhhh!? D, Does it look that way?”
“No one would see it any other way you know.”
Master is probing.
It’s so dirty of him to get information out of Eien-chan like that.
“The~n, it’s a date.”
“Hmmm.”
“…………”
I’m starting to shake.
I don’t know why but even though I didn’t do anything wrong, it felt like Master is extremely upset with me.
.
.
.
“Hideyori-san, are you okay? Do you feel sick?”
“It’s, it’s nothing. I’m fine.”
“Hmm, maybe he caught a cold LAST SUNDAY?”
“N, No way.”
Now you are teasing me with Sakuya co~~ld!?
I can’t handle this place anymore……….
.
.
“What will you have today?”
“Right. Please give us a minute, Master-san.”
Eien-chan shows me the menu table.
It’s an extremely familiar menu table.
I wouldn’t exaggerate it if I say that I’m so tired of seeing it.
“My recommendation would be blended coffee. What do you think, Hideyori-san?”
“M, Me…..? Uhh……., I will have the same as Miyamura-san then.”
“Come on! You don’t have to be so nervous just because we’re here. You can call me [Eien-chan] like you did before. I like it since it’s a nickname that only Hideyori-san uses you know.”
“……..what am I being shown here, I wonder?” (Master)
In the end, left the order to Eien-chan.
“Then, Master-san, we will have 2 cups of blended coffee please.”
“Of course! One blended coffee and one espresso coming up!”
“?”
It’s been almost 3 years since I first met him but never once have I ever heard him repeat an order back to a customer so loudly like a gas station employee like this.
Moreover, Eien-chan clearly ordered 2 blended coffees but he just nonchalantly changed her order.
This is obviously a premeditated crime.
.
.
.
.
“Master-san’s coffee is always delicious so I’m looking forward to it.”
“Your words are too kind, Miyamura-san. Rather, he doesn’t speak much, does he? Is he like a silent type or something?”
“He must be shy since it’s his first time here. Right, Hideyori-san.”
“Right, that’s totally it! I’m looking forward to Master-san’s coffee too.”
”Bfft……..Kukukuku……”
Master’s stifling his laugh.
But maybe because it was too funny for him, he couldn’t hide his laughter at all.
“Here you go, blended coffee and espresso.”
While totally laughing at me, he placed a cup of espresso in front of me like usual.
“Why did you make espresso for Hideyori-san though, Master-san?”
“I’m a Pro after all. Even if it’s their first time, I can pretty much tell what type of coffee my customer will enjoy. Akechi-kun looks to me like the type that enjoys espresso you see.”
“Ehhh!? That’s amazing!”
“……….”
.
.
You liar…….
I retorted in my mind while putting milk and sugar into my coffee.
“So, how do you two know each other?”
“We are classmates.”
“Hmm, classmates huh.”
Master and Eien-chan started chatting.
She’s probably been here several times already.
I tried to make as little noise as I could to stay as invisible as possible.
When I’m included in the conversation, I would give them some appropriate replies and repeat.
“How is it, Hideyori-san? This place is nice isn’t it?”
“Yeah, if Master-san isn’t here then it would be the best though.”
“Hahaha, don’t say that. You sound just like my regular customer who always came to drink without paying you know.”
“You also look a lot like my acquaintance who’s a big fan of Sawamura Yama too, Master-san.”
“You look just like the boy my sister’s taken in too! Rather, aren’t you him? Just kidding.”
We ended up indirectly bickering with each other.
.
.
.
“Yup, as I thought, men do get along easily with each other. I never thought that Hideyori-san would get along with Master-san this well!”
Eien-chan was all smiling. She probably thinks that Master and I are starting to hit it off.
………..well, whatever. I don’t care anymore.
“Alright, let me pay for you, Hideyori-san.”
“Y, Yeah……..”
“So you’re not going to pay me after all huh………”
Master is giving me a slightly grudgeful gaze.
I can pretty much tell that he’s irritated that I’m not paying him myself.
.
.
.
Finally, this hell is finally over. What a relief.
I will have to apologize to Master next time I come here.
.
.
However, when Eien-chan was about to take out her wallet,
The sound of a bell ringing came from the shop’s entrance.
“Master, I’m back.”
And it was followed by an awfully familiar voice.
.
.
.
My headache hurts……..
No, my brain is losing power so I made a mistake.
My head hurts………..
TLN: That’s all for now. Next time, the shuraba(?)
