Sasaki Emi Choosing the Pools

After chatting for a while in the coffee shop, Eien-chan, Tsugaru, Takeru, and Risa left first as their places were far from here.

Meanwhile, Emi and I, who live relatively nearby, were left behind.

There we started planning our pool visit.

“So, the question would be should we go to an indoor or an outdoor one right!?”

“Indoor would be better since we don’t have to worry about the weather right.”

In a time like this, you need to think about your needs.

Assuming that the girls do not want to get sunburned, an indoor pool would be a safer choice.

In other words, my choice is based on how high the possibility of me getting to see girls in more revealing swimsuits is.

“Indoor huh, but when you think of a pool, you would imagine the outdoor ones first right?”

“Nah, that’s just for elementary schoolers. An adult should prefer indoor pools.”

“Hideyori started to sound like me………….”

Despite listening to us silently so far, Sakuya who’s sitting next to Emi mutters so.

Master is busy closing the shop for the day so he’s not with us.

“But we are still middle schoolers so a childish choice should be better for us isn’t it?”

“Emi started to sound like me too……….”

“Nay, nay, nay, indoor would still be better even for children since we would be able to find each other easily in case we get separated right? If it’s just us kids then an indoor pool is the way to go.”

“Aren’t you contradicting yourself?”

Emi is still indecisive so I tried to push her toward the indoor pool.

Of course, I will get the chance to see lots of beauties in nice swimsuits there but an indoor pool would be a safer choice in case of bad weather isn’t it?

“Rather, can kids like us go to the pool just by ourselves? Don’t we need a guardian too?”

“What, don’t worry about that, Sakuya. We have your father right here right.”

“Me!?”

Master, who was silently mopping the floor, loudly asked.

“Eh? You’re not coming?”

“I have to mind the shop so there’s no way I can go right. If you want a guardian with you then go ask my sister.”

“But Master? Our place is closed on Wednesday so if we go on Wednesday then you should be able to come with us right? It will be on summer vacation so everyone will be free too.”

“Sakuya……., don’t backstab me please………”

With the help of his own daughter, Master now has no escape route.

As always, he’s so weak when it comes to his daughter………

“Besides, Towa said she wants to go to the pool with everyone here. She included Master too you know.”

“She obviously didn’t right!”

“A, Ahaha…….”

Perhaps she’s started to sympathize with him, Emi let out a dry laugh.

Since Sakuya alone is enough, I stayed silent and kept watching.

“My car can’t pack that many people.”

“We can use the train.”

“I don’t even have a swimsuit.”

“Go buy one.”

“I, don’t want to go to the pool.”

“I want to go to the pool with Master.”

“……………”

Master’s excuses were refuted one by one.

He seems seriously pitiful right now………

“H, He’s a funny person isn’t he…….. Master-san I mean……..”

“Yeah, he’s Sakuya’s dad after all. He’s real funny you know.”

“I see.”

“That convinced you?”

[Haaa…….] Master let out a long sigh.

That’s probably the sign that he has surrendered.

He finished up with his mopping and went to wash his hands.

“So, You are Sasaki-san right.”

“Nice to meet you, I’m Sasaki Emi.”

Emi lowered her head with her pigtail lively bobbing.

On the other hand, Master looks at Emi as though he’s appraising her.

“Hideyori-kun always talks about you.”

“He’s also talked a lot about Master too.”

“I can tell that he didn’t put in much of a good word though…….”

Master tried to imitate Emi’s tone but he miserably failed as it was not cute at all.

“He said that talking with you is always fun, he could consult you about anything, and you two have a lot in common. He also said that you are like a big brother to him too.”

“He surprisingly said some nice things huh.”

“………but he said that you can sometimes act like a weird doting parent.”

“So all those good things earlier just went out the window huh.”

Said Master as he turned off the faucet and wiped his hands with a towel.

“He told me many things about Sasaki-san too you know.”

“Eh? Is that so?”

“Yeah. He said that you’re the person closest to him and that being with you is calming and enjoyable. He said that you’re pretty cute too.”

“O, Oh, Hideyori-kun. So you think of me that way…….how wonderful.”

“…….Also, he said that you are like a little sister to him.”

“Ha?”

“Eh……?”

Emi’s tone became sour in an instant.

Eh? I don’t see why Emi would get angry because of what I told Master about her though.

It’s all my honest feelings and I even intended those as praise too.

“That part about Hideyori-kun is super irritating.”

Moreover, Emi’s glaring at me.

Why?

Why is she angry?

While I was trying to find an answer, Sakuya, who sat next to Emi, opened her mouth.

“Emi.”

“What is it, Sakuya?”

Oh, Sakuya is gonna follow up for me huh.

Tell her that I always praise her in front of Master! I cheer for her success in my heart.

“I understand you. When Hideyori gets like that, I want to give him a punch too.”

“WHY!?”

After that, it was terrible dealing with the two whose moods were soured for some reason.

Maybe saying things like ‘I see you as a little sister’ is taboo here.

I might be able to get a better response if I relay the [you’re like a little sister to me] vibe to them through my actions instead, was what I started to seriously think.
