Sakuya gazes at Yamamoto with a grin.

Being subjected to that, Yamamoto bashfully accepted it.

“Sakuya, if you get a boyfriend, where would you want to go with him?”

“Destinyland I think.”

“Enough with Destinyland! If that’s all you’re going to provide then what’s the point of calling you over!?”

Sakuya seems to prefer Destinyland as well.

First Starbuck-neechan, now her. It seems that place is really popular with the girls.

“Destinyland seems nice doesn’t it Sakuya?”

“Yeah, I want to go there.”

“I told you! If I go all in like that it would make her have expectations! It would be like if I just waltz up and tell her [Hey, I booked a hotel] alright.”

“You did it huh, Yamamoto!”

“You did it huh, Daigo!”

“See, this is exactly what I’m talking about right!?”

“So, with that being the case, Yamamoto wants us to come up with date spots that would be safer than Destinyland but bolder than a karaoke date. What do you think, Sakuya?”

“I want to visit Osaka castle with Hideyori.”

Why me?

Ahh, bringing Hideyori to Osaka castle huh? (TLN: That’s where Toyotomi Hideyori lived.)

For a moment I thought she actually wanted to go on a date with me there.

“O, Osaka……. [Hey, I booked a hotel] aside, I’d be skipping to [YEAH WE ARE DOING IT!] if I invite her to a trip like that right!”

“Sakuya likes period drama after all. That kind of historical site is her thing, you see.”

“I want to go to Nikkou Edomura and Toshougu too.”

“Those are not date spots anymore, that’s just a sightseeing trip……..”

“Himeji castle would be nice as well.”

“You’re not helpful at all you know……”

“Ya-ma-mo-t~~~o………”

Sakuya angrily glowered at Yamamoto.

It seems that this socially awkward girl’s idea of date spots is pretty much the same as tourist sites.

For Yamamoto who wants to go somewhere nearby with his girlfriend, her advice would be of no use to him.

After I relayed that thought to Sakuya, she went “I see!” and nodded. 

“Do you really understand though?” Yamamoto asked and Sakuya replied with “Yeah!” while sticking her thumb up.

“If you want to go on a date then doing an at-home date is fine, right.”

“At-home date?”

“That’s right. It’s a super advanced move that flips the idea of Date = Going outside.”

“S, Such a move exists……?”

Sakuya seems rather proud of herself and Yamamoto looks like he only came to know of such a possibility but an at-home date is not exactly that novel of an idea you know.

I mean, inviting a girl over does give off a serious [Let’s do it] vibe but I will mind my own business here.

“First you should show off your SmashBros prowess to your girlfriend, Yamamoto.”

“Hou Hou………..I never said I’m any good at SmashBros but keep going.”

“So, you can’t go serious and one-sidedly win since it will hurt your girlfriend’s feelings right? You have to know when to throw the game and lose on purpose to make it enjoyable for her too. You need to make her go like [Yeah, I won!].”

“T, To think that there’s such a technique……..please continue, Tanikawa-sensei!”

“If you can pull that off I’m sure she will be like [Kyah, Daigo!] and that’s when you deepen her bond with her.”

The weird setting that rests entirely on the premise that Yamamoto is good at SmashBros and Sakuya’s strange ad-libs left my mind blank.

“Then when Hasegawa Hinano be like [DAIGO! One more round!] you will proceed and win with a narrow match. And you have to choose the stages carefully. Pick something she knows and would enjoy like Pokemon Stadium.”

“I can win?”

“The point here is to keep it close. If you keep losing she’d be like [Ehh? DAIGO is such a noob…….]. On the contrary, If you win too many times she would be bored. The entertainment factor is important but you have to make an appeal that you’re the stronger one too.”

“Wait, I have to write this down.”

In the first place, does Hasegawa Hinano even call Yamamoto DAIGO?

Also, is it me or does Sakuya’s version of Hasegawa Hinano seem kind of funny?

Is it because I’m the only one here who doesn’t personally know Hasegawa Hinano that I’m feeling weird about all this?

Yamamoto, is your girlfriend really okay?

I can’t stop imagining her being weird now.

“And finally, you have to say this to Hasegawa Hinano. [I can’t bear meeting you through Zoom anymore, I want to meet Hasegawa Hinano face to face].”

“Eh!? Wait a minute! This whole time it was an online date!? He was actually on a Zoom call with Hasegawa Hinano the entire time!?”

“Why did you just assume that she would have a SWITCH at home!? What would he do if Hasegawa Hinano don’t have the console!”

“Then Yamamoto should just lend her one.”

“I only have one alright!”

I felt sorry for Yamamoto who had been seriously listening to her.

It can’t be helped. It’s probably useless to expect a normal girl’s reply from Sakuya in the first place.

Let’s call over some of our female classmates and ask her instead.

“Oh? Master, did you summon me?”

Thus, time passed with nothing useful coming up and the break ended. 

Without anything of note lingering in our memories, the math class began……
