Chapter 12: Class Final Part
Ashly looked towards the audience with a smiling face obviously very happy with her results. Many people expected a similar scene to Emma but instead of being sad about her situation she would be happy and maybe even brag a little to the audience.
She in a similar fashion to Emma walked to the front of the stage and started fiddling with her system momentarily before a blue screen appeared within Kaden's vision allowing him to see what it said.
[Name: Ashly Ryans]
[Class: Emotion Vampire]
[Potential: S]
[Current Rank: F-]
Kaden gasped slightly to himself at the potential rank of her class and confused on how so many power houses ended up near him. The ranks that Ken, Emma, and now Ashly got were not normal as proven by the other students that had gone before them so far. Only a select handful had gotten even as high as A rank much less S rank. S rank classes were probably only around 3 or 4 so far and many could already see the teachers eyeing them with high expectations.
Another thing that was interesting to Kaden was her class name. He knew what a vampire was by the many novels he had read but also because there were many people with a vampire class that required them to drink certain blood for some of their abilities and to even rank up sometimes.
'What could an emotional vampire even be? Does it feed off of all emotions like happiness, sadness, and maybe even anger?' Kaden thought to himself as he needed more information before he could fully understand her class. n)-O/.v-/E((l(-b-.I.(n
"What! Why is she walking off the stage? She never even showed us her class?" A person in the row behind Kaden stated in disappointment confusing Kaden.
Kaden looked around the room and heard similar things from others. It seems that nobody else saw her class screen except for Kaden including the teachers. Which begged the question. Why show him? Kaden was very confused, and the expression was very evident as the gears in his mind were turning.
As Ashly was walking back down the isle she saw the confusion covering Kaden's face and how he was struggling so much internally. It made her face instantly brighten and a wide smile was plastered on her face. It was such a big smile it had a similar effect as Emma's did. Many people looked at her with stars in their eyes despite not seeing her class but just enjoying her smile.
'Oh goodness~ That face is so adorable~ I really like it when he's struggling like that hehehe~ He must be wondering why he was the only one to see my class~ Oh well he will have to work a lot harder to find out~' Ashly thought to herself happily making her way back towards her seat next to Kaden to keep watching his confused face as she expected him to ask many questions.
Once she sat down beside him she crossed her legs expectantly and looked forward towards the stage again acting as if she wasn't waiting for him to ask something but still peeking at his confused face which made her warm inside.
However contrary to her original thoughts Kaden had no intention of asking questions himself as he felt he wouldn't get a truthful or straight answer so he was just going to judge the future himself and watch her closely similar to Emma. Another thing was it was finally time for the thing he had been waiting for since he got here.
"Kaden Crown." Mr. Wright said from the stage.
The second his voice sounded inside Kaden's ear he stood up and began immediately walking towards the stage with hastened steps making Ashly frown for a moment as he didn't ask her anything, but his steps were then noticed by everyone around him including Emma, Ken, and Ashly. Those that he passed through the rows just smiled at him understanding his feelings perfectly as they too were excited for their class.
Once Kaden rushed his way towards the stage and walked onto the podium Mr. Wright said the first thing besides someone's name, "I appreciate your eagerness. You're the first person to openly express how much this means to them without words but through your actions." Said Mr. Wright giving him a small amount of acknowledgment. Which not only shocked the audience but Kaden himself.
Kaden nodded his head towards Mr. Wright and said thank you before making his way towards the awakening stone. Seeing it so close to him for the first time and knowing that the second he touched that stone his life would be changed forever left him slightly sweating. Despite not showing his emotions often this magnitude of a moment was still intense and very important to him so he stopped stalling and immediately put his hand on the stone.
Dark.
It was very dark.
Kaden found himself in a place void of darkness. Unable to see anything in front of him but still for some reason able to see his own hands and body. Kaden then tried to speak maybe call for help or ask what was happening but after trying for a moment he realized nothing was coming out or he simply couldn't hear it.
Kaden had the thought of panic cross his mind for a moment, but he immediately threw the idea out the window as it would do nothing to help him. After having decided to follow this thought he just waited in silence until something finally happened.
There was a slight miniscule sound before Kaden suddenly felt something grasp both his ankles. Looking down he saw 2 skeletal hands gripped tightly around both his pant legs seemingly unwilling to let go.
After staring at the hands with surprise for a few minutes he finally calmed down realizing that they were doing nothing to him and then decided to look up.
'AHHHHHH!' Kaden screamed in fright as he looked up. Scared and being caught by surprise for the very first time since he had been here.
