“―Women are difficult.”

“Yeah, I thought you called me out suddenly, what happened?”

After school, on the rooftop, leaning against the fence, Yō lamented, while Haruki, who was summoned here, smiled bitterly.

“No, well, yeah.”

Kasumi is a spoiled girl who gets into a bad mood at the mere flicker of another girl’s shadow, and Marin is a girl who doesn’t know what to be angry about.

Yō wanted to settle things down to a point where both of them are satisfied, but when that doesn’t work out due to the two girls’ strong habits, Yō felt like complaining.

But that had nothing to do with Haruki, so Yō changed his mind and opened his mouth afresh.

“More importantly, sorry for calling you out.”

“Well, I have free time after school, so it’s fine.”

Haruki then gave him a gentle smile.

Since the bullying incident, Haruki’s condition has calmed down.

He seems to be eating lunch with Kasumi at lunchtime because they’re supposed to be in a relationship, but since he hasn’t heard any bad rumors about it, he doesn’t seem to be uncomfortable with it.

Yō also heard that he is getting along well with Marin as if they were back to their former childhood friends status quo.

From what he had heard, Haruki seemed to be completely moving forward.

However, in the end, this was only what he had heard through rumors and from other people, and not what Yō himself had seen with his own eyes.

So, because of Kasumi’s situation, Yō wanted to talk to Haruki directly.

“Well then, where should I start?”

“You can ask me anything you want, I owe Yō-kun a lot.”

“Oh, that’s a big help― hey, wait a minute.”

Yō was about to thank Haruki, but then he felt something strange and turned his attention to him.

“Hmm? What’s wrong?”

“No, what did you just call me?”

“Yō-kun?”

“I guess I didn’t mishear you… I’m wondering why you suddenly called me by my first name.”

Yō had a bad feeling and asked Haruki.

Then Haruki smiled and opened his mouth.

“Because Marin-chan called you that happily?”

“…………”

When his bad premonition came true, Yō couldn’t help but put his hand on his forehead and look up at the sky.

(She broke her promise to only do this when it was just the two of us…)

Yō didn’t know why Marin had called out his name in front of Haruki.

However, if Kasumi heard about it, it would have been extremely troublesome.

So Yō began to consider how to prevent Marin from calling him “Yō-kun” in the future.

When Haruki saw Yō, he panicked and interrupted him.

“Ah, it’s okay, don’t worry. She only said it in front of me, and she usually calls me Hao-kun. It’s just that she seems to unconsciously call me Yō-kun only when she’s excited.”

“No, what is it about me that gets her excited?”

“Fuuun~, that’s a secret, I suppose?”

Haruki smiled and replied vaguely to Yō’s question.

Yō was dissatisfied with Haruki’s refusal to give him an answer, but he decided to find out under what circumstances Marin would call him Yō-kun.
