CH 11

No one was available, so I had no choice but to handle it myself.

“Welcome- For three people, correct?”

I tried to act as if I didn’t know these guys as naturally as possible, but it turned out to be in vain.

“Hm? It’s you, Yuuki? Are you working part-time here?”

“I guess so, let me show you to your seat.”

“Hey, listen to me for a second.”

“I’m sorry, I’m working right now.”

I was trying not to prolong the conversation so that I could get away from them as soon as possible. With that in mind, I headed for an empty seat.

“This is it. When you have decided on your order, please press the buttonon the table to call.”

After saying that, I left immediately.

It was probably not the best thing for a waiter to do. But I really didn’t want to get involved. Even though no other emotion came up, this one kept overflowing.

Anyway, I took water, wet wipes, chopsticks and forks for three people and headed to that seat once again.

“Here is your water.”

As I was handing out water, Otori kun spoke to me.

“Hey, Yuuki. Why are you working here?”

“There is no particular reason.”

Next, Kamisaka san spoke up.

“Is it only Yuuki who works here from the same school? Even if there were others, who would talk to someone like Yuuki?”

“…..”

If I nodded, it means I admit defeat.

Next, Kagurazaka san asked,

“Why are you ignoring her? Isn’t that awful?”

“You’re right, Eri. Hey ! Yuuki ! Don’t ignore her !”

“Please refrain from speaking loudly as it may disturb other customers.”

“That’s enough ! You !”

I wonder if I treated them too coldly. I was splashed with water. Sigh, the floor is soaked.

Still, I don’t feel anything.

“My apologies, but there is no one other than me from the school.”

“That’s right, you should’ve answered properly from the beginning !”

With that, he threw the cup that was out of water. I’m glad it was plastic. Glass cups break and it’s hard to clean up afterwards.

People around me started to get noisy. Surely this was an incident?

While I was thinking about that, I felt a terrible aura of disaster from behind me. Oh no, this is bad.

When I turned around to see who it was, I saw Iino senpai standing there.

Although her face was smiling, her aura was leaking out from her whole body. Iino senpai, the girl sitting near you is scared of you.

“I’m sorry, sir. Please don’t do that kind of thing in our restaurant.”

“Oh no, I’m sorry. I was just upset by the way he handled the situation.”

“But that doesn’t mean it’s acceptable behavior.”

“Then what you’re trying to say is that we are all to blame?”

The tone of Otori kun’s voice suddenly changed. The two people behind him also nodded their heads.

“Certainly, our waiter may have been at fault. but that is no reason to throw a cup at him after you splashed him with water.”

“…..Tsk, let’s go !”

Saying that, Otori kun and the others pushed me and Iino senpai out of the store.

Because of me, other people were also inconvenienced. This made me feel like I didn’t know what to say. To be more precise, I would’ve been able to say it before, but now I have no idea what this feelings are.

“Iino senpai, I’m sorry. It’s my fault…”

“It’s true. The other party is an important customer. You should treat them with more care. …..That said, you have your own reasons, don’t you? If you really don’t like it, you can ask for help.”

“I’m sorry. I’ll be careful next time.”

“…Yeah. Anyway, are you alright? Are you hurt or something?”

“No, I’m fine.”

I can’t believe that my former friends would do something that could get them reported.

In my mind, the remaining feelings for them gradually disappeared. Whatever happened to them was no longer my concern.

In the end, I worked until about 7:00 p.m. and left the place that night.

I thought about it after I got home, but some of my feelings had almost completely dissapeared. I felt like I had forgotten something important, and I couldn’t feel at ease.

For now, I will think about these feelings from tomorrow onward.
