26 Punished? WHO? (I)

” Ahhh!! What...What is this? Who...who did this?” Xing Bao screamed over her lungs like a mad woman when a flower vase came flying from behind and smashed on the ground, just a few inches away from her.

It was even more terrifying because she was not expecting this to happen at all and if she had not halted in her steps in time, she would have gotten hurt badly.

Her face turned beetroot red in anger as she turned around to face the person who dared to throw a vase at her. She is the Head-Maid of the household and the personal maid of the Mistress of the Household. How can anyone look down on her and try to harm her from behind?

” DID YOU THROW THIS VASE AT ME? HUH? ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME? IS THIS YOUR WAY OF REBELLING AGAINST ME?” Xing Bao yelled at Xiaowei because other than her, who could dare to attack her from behind?

There are only three people in this room and there is no way the weak and sickly young lady could dare to do anything against her.

Because she might be the maid of the household, she still holds much more power and authority than Yang Ning, who is the eldest daughter of the Yang Family. ” YOU BITCH! Have you forgotten your place already? Do you want to die? You know that I can get you punished heavily for this audacity of yours, don’t you?” Xing Bao was enraged and could feel her blood boil in anger as she could not take the disrespect from Xiaowei anymore.

How can a mere maid like her dare to disrespect her just because her lady is engaged to the Crown Prince? It’s not like her lady is going to win the favor of the Crown Prince forever. Sooner or later she will be beaten up by a Concubine, whom His Highness will favor more than her.

That’s how her fate will be! Miserable and abandoned.

Xing Bao’s attention was only on one person in the room, and she ignored the existence of the other person who was sitting on the bed, behind Xiaowei.

” OHH!! You’re quite powerful, aren’t you? ” Yang Ning exclaimed in amazement to see the *fake* charisma of Xing Bao. However, she was also curious to see how long she can maintain this attitude of hers.

Xing Bao finally noticed Yang Ning, who was sitting on the bed behind Xiaowei and was smiling brightly at her which caught her off guard.

It was her first time to see Yang Ning smiling at her so brightly because Yang Ning always used to wear her poker and depressing expressions on her face all the time, which makes the atmosphere around her gloomy and ominous.

How come a gloomy girl like that is smiling at her when she is teaching her maid a lesson in front of her? Doesn’t she feel embarrassed or humiliated for a bit?

The senior maid clears her throat and looks at Yang Ning with confidence in her eyes as if she is at the same level as hers and not a servant of the Yang Household. ” My Lady, it would be better for you if you stay out of this matter.”

” Even though this young girl is your maid, this matter is not something that can be looked away so easily. This insolent witch needed to be whipped 100 times before being kicked out of the household.”

“She is not only an undeserving maid who failed to serve her Master but also a dangerous one who can do great harm to you in the future. Not only did she try to harm me with the flower vase but also called strange men in your chamber last night without taking permission from anyone in the household which could have affected the engagement between you and His Highness.”

” This girl is trying to harm you and it will be better to kick her out of the household for your safety and reputation.” The senior maid said to Yang Ning and stated her mind as if Yang Ning is bound to accept her arrangements, meanwhile, she has the authority to make decisions about the affairs of the household.

” My lady....” Upon hearing the harsh words of Xing Bao, Xiaowei’s eyes filled with tears as she turned to look at Yang Ning. How can she do any harm to her lady when all she thinks about is the wellness and comfort of her lady?

Yang Ning turned to Xiaowei and smiled warmly at her, signaling her to not worry about this Xing Bao or whatever. Even if she is not going to stay in this world forever, she will not allow anyone to disrespect or look down on her or her favorite people whom she cares for.

Xiaowei is one of them. How can she not like this young and cute girl, who looks at her as if she is everything to her in this world?

” AH! Is that so? So you want to whip the person 100 times before kicking them out of the household who threw a flower vase at you?” Yang Ning asked curiously as she asked Xing Bao while looking at her with a slight glint in her eyes.

” That’s right. Although that kind of person deserves a death punishment, however, since she is Young Lady’s maid, whipping 100 times and kicking her out of the household will be enough.” The woman reasoned with Yang Ning as if obliging her by doing a huge favor to her.

Yang Ning smirked to see the confidence of Xing Bao and nodded seriously before saying, ” Hmm!! Then....what will you do if I say that the person who threw the vase at you was not my maid, but me?”

The senior maid was caught off guard by Yang Ning’s response as she could not believe that the meek and timid Yang Ning was not only looking into her eyes but also speaking in a sarcastic tone in front of her.

However, she soon recovered from her shock and said, ” Young Lady! If you’re doing this to protect your maid, then don’t do it. It will not do any good to you.”
