Chapter 101

Chapter 101. Suite Room

Led by the innkeeper, we arrived at a room at the far end of the ground floor.

The innkeeper opened the door and ushered us inside.

The guest room consisted of two rooms and had a different appearance from the hotels in our world, but it had a luxurious atmosphere. It had a spacious bedroom with two canopy beds/

It had a living room with a fireplace, tables, and sofas, all furnished with carpet.

Elaborate tapestries adorned the walls.

“This is your suite room. Please make yourself at home.”

The innkeeper handed the room key to Kazane-san and closed the door before leaving after lighting the lamps in each room.

Kazane-san and Yuzuki exchanged glances and headed toward the bedroom.

“Phew, we’re exhausted today.”

“Yeah, seriously. But it’s good that we found an inn without any problems.”

The bedroom had two extravagant canopy beds.

Kazane-san, dressed in Black Clothes, dived onto the bed, while Yuzuki, in her mage outfit, lay down on the other.

Hmm, what should I do?

Luckily there’s a sofa in the living room. So I should be fine.

But even so, they could have been a bit more considerate.

I leaned my spear against the wall and took off my armor, thinking about such things.

“Daichi-kun, you must be tired too. Come here~.”

“Senpai, our bed is empty too. Don’t just stand there. Come here.”

In the dimly lit room, Kazane-san, sitting flat on the bed, called me, and Yuzuki patted the bed next to her.

.....

Let’s give Kazane-san the benefit of the doubt.

It’s more like we have that kind of relationship or something like that.

The problem lies with Yuzuki.

What’s up with her?

Is she aiming to be a cheeky little sister who teases her older brother?

“Um, Kazane-san, I’m at a loss for how to react. Is it okay if I sleep on this sofa over here? Or should I pounce on you and turn into a wild beast here? Though Yuzuki is next to you.”

“Oh, scary. I just-just kidding. Then, Hotaru-chan, come over here~.”

“Roger that. Geez, Senpai always has such lewd thoughts.”

Yuzuki followed Kazane-san’s gesture and moved to Kazane-san’s bed.

As a result, one bed became vacant.

“Hotaru-chan and I will sleep on this bed, so Daichi-kun, you can use that bed.”

“Ah, yes.”

I see.

The earlier situation was teasing and playing around with me.

In a way, it’s still within the borderline of being safe.

I can’t tell if it’s barely safe, or inappropriate, but it might be considered a decent line.

──Afterwards, the three of us chatted about various things and eventually went to bed.

Thus, our first day in the other world came to a close.

***

It’s the 2nd day of our lives in another world.

It’s 99 days left until our return.

We woke up early in the morning and rubbed our sleepy eyes as we made our way to the Adventurers Guild.

Even though it was still early, I saw adventurers gathered in front of the guild.

All of them were probably looking for work.

As the guild’s opening time approached, the adventurers rushed inside, flooding towards the bulletin board in the guild.

They were all desperate to secure the best quests they could find.

We also joined the ranks of that group.

We didn’t necessarily need money right away, but we had another purpose that set us apart from the residents of this world.

Currently, we have several uncompleted missions listed in the “Limit Break Event Guide.”

───────────────────────

Clear one D-rank quest (0/1)... Experience points earned: 3,000

───────────────────────

With our living situation somewhat secured, our next objective was to earn experience points.

While living in this other world during the Limit Break Event, we wanted to accumulate as much experience as possible and level up.

For that purpose, we believed that searching for quests at the Adventurers Guild, which also helped secure our livelihood, would be the most efficient approach.

Currently, there are 9 visible missions.

Our goal was to find a quest that could achieve one or several of these missions at the same time.

Standing in front of the bulletin board, I focused on two quest notices among the many posted.

One was an ‘Orc Extermination’ quest with a D-rank.

The other was an escort mission to a Dwarven settlement, also a D-rank.

“Oh...!”

But just as I focused on them, another adventurer took the orc extermination quest and was quickly taken down from the board.

Shoot, things are moving fast...!

Thinking quickly, I switched to the other notice—the ‘Escort to the Dwarven Settlement’ quest—.

And I managed to grab it before it disappeared.

“Phew...”

I rejoined Kazane-san and Yuzuki.

Then showed them the quest notice.

───────────────────────

Quest Overview: Escort to the Dwarven Settlement

Quest Rank: D (Recommended Level: Level 10 and above)

Client: Dwarven craftsman Baldor

Quest Details: I would like to request an escort to the nearby Dwarven settlement. If you can safely deliver me to the settlement. The quest will be considered completed. If we leave the town in the morning, we should arrive at the settlement by nightfall. There might be Ogres along the way, so I’ll rely on you if that happens.

Reward: 24 gold coins

───────────────────────

We can potentially achieve two or three missions at once with this quest.

The only downside is that will take about two days for a round trip, but it would be too luxurious to worry too much about that.

Kazane-san and Yuzuki also had high praise for the quest.

“Wow! Great job finding this, Daichi-kun!”

“Leaving it to you, senpai, was the right choice? By the way, senpai, you’ve been shining so brightly since we came here, haven’t you?”

“Well, I guess so~.”

I was genuinely complimented and felt ecstatic.

I never know how to react in moments like this.

Afterward, we went to the counter to accept the quest.

We contacted the client and agreed to meet with them after breakfast.

Then, we purchased a Monster Encyclopedia from the Adventurers Guild’s sales counter.

It was a thick book containing detailed information about all the monsters that appear in this world, obtained through [Monster Appraisal].

It was expensive, costing 3 gold coins, but it should be considered a necessary expense.

We returned to the inn, had breakfast, made the necessary preparations, and explored the town until the meeting.

At the meeting time, we met up with the client and set off from the town.
