Xiong YaoYue was playing Monster Hunter on her PSP. She controlled a character with a zanbato while fighting a huge wild board on a snowy mountaintop. She suddenly jolted up as if she remembered something.
“Oh right, Xiao Qin, I only found out yesterday that he’s your cousin!”
“Huh?” Neither Xiao Qin and I understood what she meant.
Maybe she’s referring to Xiao Qin’s uncle’s son, Ren Peng, who’s in his second year at university? I remember his id was Underbrush Prince and he was basically a god at LOL. He basically destroyed Xiong YaoYue to earn himself a seat on the Golden Lightning team, now he’s helping Xiong YaoYue look for more team members.
“Ai Mi was in a bad mood two nights ago, and we just got four strong members in the Golden Lightning team, so we played with Ai Mi in the bronze tier… good thing we didn’t lose, it was a close win…”
Isn’t two days ago Sunday? So after I refused to have an incestuous relationship with Ai Mi, she threw a fit, then went to vent her anger to people in LOL with Xiong YaoYue?
I guess Xiong YaoYue found out Ren Peng was Xiao Qin’s cousin when they were chatting after the game? I did indeed tell Xiong YaoYue that Ren Peng’s dad was the principal of Qing Zi Academy, but I never told her Ren Peng was Xiao Qin’s cousin.
“Wait, something’s not right. Ren Peng is strong and I don’t think the other members are weak, so how did you guys have trouble in a bronze tier game?! Even if you completely disregard Ai Mi and it was a 4v5, I don’t think it should end as a close match?”
Xiong YaoYue knitted her brows and frowned as if she still had lingering fears about Sunday’s game.
“Ye Lin, it’s because you weren’t there, you don’t know how scary Ai Mi was… it would have been fine if she just stood there, but she learned the basics quickly and kept causing us more trouble!”
“So she was feeding?” Xiao Qin asked with a laugh?
“Huh? How come you know LOL lingo?” I asked, “Have you played before?”
Since Xiao Qin has an Xbox at home and she made a new record for endless mode on Plants vs Zombies, it meant she was someone who liked playing video games.
“Not really.” Xiao Qin playfully stuck out her tongue, “I heard it from my cousin when I went to my uncle’s place before. So now he’s loafing around at sister Ai Mi’s place? I’m really sorry for giving you guys trouble…”
I’m not used to it at all when she suddenly gets serious! Is it because she was in front of Xiong YaoYue? Are you polite to her because she knows about our relationship and supports us?
Plus, it sounds so unconvincing when you criticize Ren Peng for not having a proper job. Do you have a proper job, aren’t you just loafing around?
“It’s no big deal, no big deal!” Xiong YaoYue waved, “Your cousin Ren Peng is really strong, both him and Ai Mi are my idols!”
I was surprised: “I’m not surprised you idolize Ren Peng since you’re obsessed with LOL and he beat you, but why do you idolize Ai Mi? Do you want to be a singer in the future?”
“Because Miss Ai Mi has money!” Xiong YaoYue did not try to hide her admiration from the wealthy and replied straightforwardly, “I also want to be rich in the future, that’s why I idolize Miss Ai Mi.”
“Although Miss Ai Mi told me more than once I could just call her Ai Mi, but… once I think about how much money she has, I think it would be disrespectful to call her by her name!”
I think you just don’t want to be disrespectful to the money! You’re eyes are turning into $ signs! You shouldn’t be this obsessed with money!
“Ah!” Xiong YaoYue exclaimed again, “Ren Peng’s dad, or Xiao Qin’s uncle is the chairman of Qing Zi Academy, which means… Xiao Qin is also a hidden rich lady? How rude of me! Miss Xiao Qin, please accept my apologies! Please be friends with me too!”
Where did all of Xiong YaoYue’s integrity go! Do refer to anyone with money with Miss and Mister?
“No.” Xiao Qin waved her hands, “Winnie, you misunderstood. My mom and my uncle had quite a tense relationship, but it’s getting better… and my mom will never accept financial assistance from my uncle…”
Is it because Auntie Ren got married out of nowhere and ended up getting into a fight with her family over it? Afterward when Huo ZhenBang cheated, Auntie Ren gave him a beating and brought Xiao Qin back to the mainland. She didn’t accept any aid to not get laughed at by her father and brother, then she became a martial arts coach and eventually a consultant for movies. I think that period of time was quite difficult for her.
Otherwise, with Xiao Qin’s background, there was no reason for her to live in an apartment complex with me during her childhood.
Because of this, although her economic situation has improved as her mother’s career has progressed, Xiao Qin still doesn’t act like a rich lady. She doesn’t even have the composure and elegance of a wealthy child that Gong CaiCai occasionally reveals.
If you remove all of Xiao Qin’s oddball knowledge on shoujo manga, what’s left of her is probably quite similar to Xiong YaoYue’s style. If the two of them grew up together, they will definitely be friends.
But it’s not necessary a good thing for me. If two Little Tyrants appeared, then will I get bullied to death?
“Ah, that’s too bad…” Xiong YaoYue didn’t understand Xiao Qin’s mother’s insistence on financial independence, “If I had a rich brother, I would for sure suck up to him and beg him to give me some money!”
Can you not use the term suck up? I know it’s trending right now, but it really sounds weird when you’re using it on Auntie Ren’s brother who’s older than her by twenty years.
“Winnie, you went off topic long enough. So you were talking about how you guys almost lost a bronze tier game?”
“That’s right!” Xiong YaoYue slapped her leg, “When Miss Ai Mi was selecting a champ, we were expecting her to pick a ranged champion! It’s because The Dark Child Annie is a loli who wears a backpack and carries around a stuffed bear, so we thought she would pick her because they had similar attributes!”
“So who did she choose?”
“Sigh!” Xiong YaoYue sighed, “Miss Ai Mi still chose a loli champion, but… she chose Poppy, a melee champion!”
Poppy is a yordle. It might have to do with the fact she has blue skin, so she’s not as popular as Annie.
But compared to Annie, Poppy has double twin tails! She hold a huge hammer and shield as tall as herself and is covered in heavy armor.
Maybe Ai Mi chose Poppy because they both had twin tails? Poppy also looks cool and seems like she has high defenses.
But in this game, looks and reality are two different things! Even if she is tough, she can’t defend against the enemies concentrated attacks. Beginners shouldn’t use melee champions and they shouldn’t rush to the front.
Based on Xiong YaoYue’s description, I could understand why the win was so difficult.
It’s because Ai Mi bought five boots of swiftness to run faster!
You can’t stack boot speed in LOL, but since Ai Mi was the owner and was already angry, no one wanted to tell her!
Then Ai Mi began to run around taking all the enemy units and monsters. It didn’t even matter if she could win or not, because the goal of the Golden Lightning team was to make Ai Mi happy and let her vent her anger. So the other team members had to be polite and let the boss take all the xp and gold. They also stood on the side to help with the monsters to prevent her from getting killed or surprise attacked by the enemy team.
So that’s why the team was held back and in the end, the most useless member Ai Mi, was able to get second place on the team.
The worst part was yet to come.
Poppy had a move called Heroic Charge used to charge at enemies and carry them a short distance.
It can achieve spectacular results in the hands of an expert where it can be used to attack and escape.
But when Ai Mi found the move fun, she instantly turned the move into a pile of shit.
She would use it every time it was off cool down! Regardless if it was a good time or not!
When the enemy play was low on health and a teammate was about to get a kill, Ai Mi would charge over and end up pushing the enemy away and allowing them to escape.
When a teammate was being chased by the enemy, Ai Mi would charge into battle and bring the enemy closer to her team allowing them to finish off her teammates.
In a nutshell, Ai Mi was a walking disaster!
All her teammates were at minimum Platinum ranked, but they almost lost in a bronze tier match!
Ren Peng tried his hardest to barely turn the game around to a victory, but then Ai Mi said:
“You guys are so dumb! Good thing I was here or we would have lost!”
Since they all got a great salary from joining the team, everyone could only bow to Ai Mi and admit she played the best!
Only Ren Peng, who refused to accept a salary, and only cares about the team’s performance, didn’t flatter Ai Mi. He discussed with Xiong YaoYue about finding a fifth player as soon as possible to get the basic lineup together so that Golden Lightning could get on the right track and be able to carry Ai Mi regardless of her play style.
I heard Ai Mi had set her eyes recently on Teemo. She has asked the team to practice to make sure they give her all the kills in the ranked battles and to make sure Teemo doesn’t die even once.
Teemo is the easiest champion to kill! I heard that around the globe, Teemo dies at least 2 million times every day!
