Chapter 35: Cursed

That night, Roger was on a killing spree.

He was like a grim reaper amongst the tent who was slowly taking away the lives of every magical creature that he came across.

Until sunrise.

He had no other choice but to leave.

This was the first time that he wanted the night to last for 72 hours, so that he would be able to help these suffering gray dwarves.

...

The next morning.

The campsite of the gray dwarves was a mess.

It started with the guards discovering the large number of dead bodies which panicked the rest of the dwarves.

Then, later in the afternoon.

The overdose laxatives started showing their power.

Every single campsite of the gray dwarves was covered by an indescribable stench.

Roger, who was as cunning as a fox, did not return to the village.

Instead, he prepared a few masks for himself, stuck cotton balls into his nostrils, and waited outside the campsite.

Time went by and the situation at the campsite became more and more chaotic.

Finally, there were some who couldn’t hold it any longer and decided to release themselves at the reeds outside.

Roger, who had been patiently waiting, obviously wouldn’t miss this splendid opportunity.

The Vertical Cloud Ladder got activated.

As the green beetle sword went around like a swimming dragon, it took away the lives of countless gray dwarves.

With the help of the laxatives, the toughness value of these gray dwarves decreased tremendously which made it much more easier for Roger to finish them.

He ended up moving between the six campsites.

At the reeds.

Between the bushes.

Amongst the grass.

Wherever the gray dwarves went, it would be followed by the sharp knife of the green beetle sword.

That evening,?Roger took out his mask as he reached his house and kept feeling that there was a peculiar smell coming from the sword.

Then, in the night.

He went to the swamp at the bottom of the cave and thoroughly washed the green beetle sword.

But, the smell was still there.

Roger didn’t continue his attack that night.

On the one hand, it was because his energy and stamina had already reached their limit. He needed a good rest to ensure combat effectiveness.

On the other hand.

From the reaction speed of the chief of the gray dwarves, they would have already come up with a plan.

If he hastily went back to the campsite to kill more, he would definitely be caught.

A solo assassin would only have the best effect during the first time.

Therefore, tonight, most of the gray dwarves rested in fear.

But Roger, on the other hand, had a good night’s sleep.

As dawn came, he yawned and took a look outside.

This was something that no one could take away from him.

For the past six months, he had been going head to head with the dwarves in the marshland.

In order to hunt for these dwarves, he had tried everything.

As for the new chief of the gray dwarves, he had also tried multiple ways to fight Roger.

One of their most mentionable inventions was the neck guard that was one the gray dwarf before this.

This neck guard was something that he had to remove first before killing them which greatly reduced his efficiency.

Other than that, the other party had also set up a number of traps and tried to lure Roger into it.

Unfortunately, Roger maintained a cautious heart the entire time.

Not only did the plans fail, there were a few times where Roger played along with it and ended up sacrificing more of their kind.

On the other side, the gray dwarves also attacked the Dragon Tooth Village.

These attacks were somehow successful, especially the one that happened two nights ago.

They had used a newly designed ballista and managed to injure the young emerald dragon!

If it wasn’t because Cindy who suddenly appeared and released a three-circle magic spell, the Dragon Tooth Village would have been annihilated by now.

On that same night.

Although the gray dwarves retreated, the magic spells completely drained Cindy.

When Roger met her again, she was already on the sickbed.

Then, Cindy told him that the Dragon Tooth Village would be evacuated.

This wasn’t a hasty decision.

With the gray dwarves attacking them day and night, they couldn’t hold it any longer.

Injuring the young emerald dragon was the last straw.

They decided that they would evacuate to the marshlands up on the northern side.

Cindy invited Roger to join them, but he refused.

He was clear with what he wanted.

Before accumulating enough number of gray dwarves killed, he wouldn’t be going anywhere.

...

The news of the evacuation of the Dragon Tooth Village was definitely bad for Roger.

Although he wasn’t sure how they would be doing it, Cindy had already said it loud and clear to him which meant that they must have certain unstoppable ways to do it.

Since it was a village protected by a true dragon, it’s not surprising for them to have a backup plan.

And, as soon as the young emerald dragon leaves, Roger would be the main target of these gray dwarves.

One could imagine how much pressure he had at this point.

This was also why for the past few days, Roger had increased his hunting strength. For three days straight, the number of dwarves hunted was more than three hundred each day!

This caused the gray dwarves to retaliate.

The area around the Yellow Stone Island had recently become extremely dangerous.

The soldiers of the gray dwarves had searched far and wide for safe water and food.

Roger’s living space was shrinking as the days passed by.

The worst thing was that this morning when he suddenly realized that he had a black eye on the back of his left hand!

According to the Qi Divination Technique, this was an extremely scary curse!
