Chapter 348: Fierce Battle "Are you here to stand up for this Wigglytuff?" Motohara squinted his eyes, looking dangerous as he stared at Yuga.
Yuga took a deep breath, calming himself, and said, "It seems you really can't remember anything. Let's settle this with our Pokémon."
With that, Yuga released the Great Flygon from his Poké Ball. The Dragon-type Pokémon exuded its inherent aura, combined with the presence of a pseudo-Elite level Pokémon, visibly unsettling Motohara.
A pseudo-Elite level Great Flygon!
As a pseudo-Elite level Trainer, Motohara could roughly gauge its strength solely from the Great Flygon's presence.
Although he had seen through the Great Flygon's extraordinary power via a camera feed, he hadn't expected it to be a pseudo-Elite level Pokémon.
The appearance of the Great Flygon made Motohara wary, and he no longer underestimated the young man before him.
Motohara reached for two Poké Balls on his belt and released two Pokémon that matched the Great Flygon's imposing presence.
Exploud and Shiftry, both of them pseudo-Elite level Pokémon.
"Exploud, Shiftry, take care of them!" Motohara ordered his Pokémon cruelly. Whoever dared to come looking for trouble would have to pay the price!
"Exploud!"
Exploud roared, generating shockwaves that sent tree branches and leaves flying in all directions.
"Shiftry!"
Shiftry waved its two leafy tails and let out an eerie laugh, casting a scornful glance at Yuga, mirroring Motohara's expression.
"Florges, Absol, handle Exploud! Great Flygon, Shiftry, it's up to you."
Yuga instructed his Pokémon.
He didn't immediately release his Noctowl, as according to the information he had, Motohara possessed three pseudo-Elite level Pokémon. To be on the safe side, he decided to keep one in reserve.
After hearing Yuga's command, all three Pokémon nodded solemnly and assumed battle stances.
"Shiftry, X-Scissor on Flygon! Exploud, Boomburst!"
Shiftry, with incredible speed, wearing clogs on its feet, closed in on the Great Flygon rapidly. It then leaped high into the air, its two leafy hands crossed together, glowing green as it slashed towards Flygon.
The Great Flygon, on the other hand, used its sturdy tail to block Shiftry' X-Scissor attack.
Seeing how easily the Great Flygon defended against Shiftry' attack, Motohara grimly commented, "Looks like you've got some tricks up your sleeve!"
Yuga responded confidently, "The real surprises are yet to come. You'll be amazed soon enough!"
"You're just talking big! You'll cry later! Shiftry, Sunny Day, then X-Scissor again!"
Upon hearing this command, Yuga realized that Shiftry had the Chlorophyll ability. He quickly shouted to the Great Flygon, "Great Flygon, stop it!"
However, the Great Flygon was a fraction slower. By the time its Stone Edge attack was headed toward Shiftry, the sunlight had intensified, and Shiftry had transformed into a shadow, avoiding the Stone Edge attack completely.
As Shiftry landed on the Great Flygon's back, it executed a X-Scissor attack, striking the Great Flygon's back directly.
The Great Flygon crashed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust and sustaining considerable damage.
Seeing Shiftry suddenly become elusive, Yuga shouted and called out to the Great Flygon on the ground, "Great Flygon, speed up into the sky, Dragon Dance!"
"You think you can speed up, I can do it too!"
The Great Flygon, after escaping the pit it had created earlier, took to the sky, its wings and tail moving at breakneck speed.
Even the agile Shiftry couldn't do much against the Great Flygon soaring high into the sky. It had to continuously use Leaf Storm from afar under Motohara's command.
However, due to the considerable distance and Shiftry not being proficient in this long-range attack, the Great Flygon effortlessly dodged the attacks every time.
Meanwhile, Florges and Absol were engaged in a fierce battle against Exploud. S~eaʀᴄh the NôᴠelFirё.net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
At the beginning of the battle, Exploud was discreetly led away by Florges and Absol' from battlefield of the Great Flygon and Florges, as per Yuga's orders.
This strategy was due to the fact that Florges and Absol lacked the strength to engage directly. To join the battle, they had to collaborate effectively.
This way, Yuga would have more Pokémon in the fight, compensating for his lower Trainer level compared to Motohara. However, it also meant that Florges and Absol faced increased pressure.
Luckily, Motohara had immense confidence in his Exploud, believing it could defeat Florges and Absol on its own. He didn't send out additional support Pokémon; otherwise, Florges and Absol would have faced an even more challenging situation.
Florges immediately established her unique Grassy Terrain upon confronting Exploud.
Leveraging the special properties of her Grassy Terrain and her exceptional control skills, Florges was confident she wouldn't mistakenly target the enemy.
Absol, enveloped in the Grassy Terrain, instantly used Psycho Cut and clashed with Exploud's Boomburst.
However, it was evident that Absol's Psycho Cut was less potent than Exploud's Boomburst.
Exploud's Boomburst broke through the Psycho Cut resistance and struck Absol. Yet, it was swiftly intercepted by Florges's Magical Leaf, sparing Absol from harm.
It was fortunate that Psycho Cut partially neutralized the Boomburst; otherwise, Florges would have been helpless.
Seeing his attack thwarted by these two seemingly insignificant opponents, Exploud grew infuriated. It opened its enormous mouth wide, and a more potent Supersonic was aimed once again at Absol.
Supersonic was Exploud's most proficient skill, not only tremendously powerful but also executed flawlessly.
Seeing that Absol couldn't evade in time, two vines suddenly extended from behind it, successfully guiding it out of harm's way, narrowly avoiding another Supersonic attack.
While suspended in mid-air, Absol immediately launched a massive Psycho Cut at Exploud.
The effect was there, but it was minimal.
Absol's strength was still vastly inferior to Exploud's, both in terms of attack power and defense.
After landing a hit on Exploud, Absol smoothly descended to the ground. On the other side, Exploud, having been struck by Absol before, was now furious.
Two Pokémon it considered mere pests had injured it before it could strike back! Unforgivable!
It had to be said that this Exploud was incredibly prone to anger.
Although Pokémon of this type were generally quick to anger, this particular one was an exceptional case.
