Chapter 112 Attack!

RUMBLE!

The spacecraft shook violently as the countless warriors within rocked back and forth, feeling absolutely dizzy.

"We finally escaped the spatial lock! Eh? Where are we?"

"Never mind us, where is Sovereign Ash?! And the people from the higher realms, they're gone too!"

"Never mind this and that, look through the display screens outside, that's a whole ass region of thunderstorms, are we supposed to cross over?"

The distance from the Sky Mountains to the thunderstorm ring was only a few miles, while the hidden tribes survived in the minimum gaps squeezed between the mountains and the thunderstorm rings. Hence, the most conspicuous route to the people on board the spacecraft was obviously the stretch of black clouds in the distance.

"This is way too weird!"

Because they were already inside a tightly locked spacecraft that could even protect them from the chaotic environment of space, they weren't aware of the anomaly outside or the peculiarities of their current situation. However, they didn't have any idea what was going on since they were told that they were supposed to arrive in a massive forest.

"The spacecraft is detecting powerful spatial locks around the mountains, our only path of advancement is forward," reported someone who was tapping away at a holographic screen.

"There are unusual fluctuations a few hundred miles ahead, the war might have already erupted," reported another one.

"Are you sure?" A saint with the fluctuations of the second cycle asked, his brows furrowed. If the battle had already started, then perhaps they were delayed too long in the spatial distortions.

"Not 100% but… The signals are crazy, something big must be going on…"

"Alright, send commands to everyone to advance together in a tight formation and be careful not to get lost in the thunderstorm." The saint thought for a while and passed down his orders.

Far in the distance, Patriarch Ye watched as hundreds of battleships advanced into the thunderstorm region, feeling confused.

"I knew that they were not together. Otherwise, they would have directly attacked the location of my Ye Tribe," whispered Patriarch Ye to the other Patriarchs and Matriarchs by his side.

"But why are they heading directly into the storm? Can't they sense the dangerous fluctuations within?" A woman who seemed about as mature as Patriarch Ye asked, her tone betraying her confusion.

"Doesn't matter! Just circle them and wait for an opportunity to attack! Since they entered the thunderstorm, they will lose their sense of direction sooner or later, then we can engage with them directly!"

A rather hot-blooded Patriarch spoke up, clutching his weapons tightly.

No one knew that these spacecraft landed in Arcadia with the mindset of going into war, leading them to skip scouting their environment and directly charging at where they perceived the most disturbance in worldly energy. Because of that, the hidden tribes might have just escaped disaster.

At least, temporarily…

"Agreed."

"Agreed."

"Agreed."

"Alright then," Patriarch Ye nodded heavily. "Move out!"

"This thunderstorm is weird! The magnetic fields are too powerful, we can't navigate or grab a clear sense of direction!"

When the spacecrafts were already a few miles deep into the thunderstorm, they suddenly realized that they might have been going back and forth in circles.

One hundred spacecrafts with ten thousand warriors on each spacecraft got lost just like that, this was too weird of an experience.

"Pass down orders for everyone to stop, I'll go outside to check out the situation," said the second cycle saint after giving the matter some thought.

"Should we inform Lord High Saint?"

"Do you want to disturb the High Saint Lords for every matter big and small?! Shut up and dock the spacecraft, I'll personally go out there and check!"

As he spoke, the saint tore through the formation of the spacecraft and appeared a few miles in front, levitating in the air.

However, the moment he did so, lightning bolts as thick as his fingers came crashing down on him, startling the man greatly. With a ray of cold light, he slashed out with his sword twice, causing two of the lightning bolts to explode whilst their ripples spread to destroy their companions.

The man frowned as more and more lightning bolts descended on his body. He clenched the hilt of his sword as his robes danced in the wind, constantly shifting his footwork to deviate the lightning bolts with the blunt of his sword, destroying as many as possible while wasting as little as possible from his energy.

As time trickled by, his companions of second-cycle saints also felt bored and itchy, going out to check what was up.

Just like that, thunder rumbled in the sky, seemingly endless. In fact, some saints began to secretly break out into contests of skill to see who would deal with the lightning bolts better.

One of the third-cycle saints was looking outside when he felt something amiss. Counting the people outside the spacecraft, there seemed to be a few saints that had gone missing.

"Did anyone make it back inside the formation?"

The third-cycle saint asked the soldiers with an uneasy expression.

"Reporting to general, no. No one from the deputy generals made it back into the formation."

"This is bad!" The general swept the outside world with his divine sense, his spiritual energy diffusing into the environment silently.

Just then, he noticed one of the saints skillfully deviate three lightning bolts into a single point, causing them to explode loudly. As he was feeling amazed with himself, he didn't notice that a massive bone javelin tore through the sound barrier under the guise of the thunderclap.

And because the bone javelin had no worldly energy fluctuations whatsoever, it blasted the saint's body into a bloody mist silently with no one being the wiser.

"WE'VE BEEN SURROUNDED!"

The third-cycle saint transmitted his voice directly outside, blasting apart the lightning within a few hundred miles radius, but that lightning was quickly compensated with even fiercer waves of bolts as thick as an arm.

"ATTACK!"

A voice equally as powerful boomed from the distance, causing most of the deputy generals to have a buzz in their ears. Then, a hail of massive bone javelins tore through the sound barrier and smashed into the bewildered saints.

At this moment, over a dozen men in black robes appeared, slashing their swords as one.

"Generals!"

The second-cycle saints cried out as they watched over ten sword lights merge and propel one another, forming a massive curtain of light that swallowed the hail of stone javelins, blasting them into dust.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

"It's a distraction!"

Just as one deputy general shouted, an even greater hail of bone javelins struck home into the thrusters and external engines of a dozen or so spacecraft, setting them ablaze.

BOOM!

One engine exploded, followed by many more as the frantic energy drew the undesirable attention of the lightning in the sky, catching the spacecraft in a horrendous pincer attack from man and mother nature alike.

Fire and lightning rushed into the spacecraft one after the other, catching everyone within by surprise. Shock, anger, and fear overworked them entirely.

During this moment of confusion, the warriors of the hidden tribes collapsed on the invaders with their broadswords and sabers…

Crack…

In five days' time, the multicolored cocoon wrapping around Wendy cracked open, from which stepped out the woman reborn.

Lustrous tan skin, waist-length multicolored hair, and a pair of multicolored irises swirling with spirituality and indifference. She seemed like a fallen angel who would reject all emotions and existence, and an air of mayhem was contained within her gaze.

She looked down at her naked body with a hint of confusion as the memories came rushing back into her head along with a sea of knowledge pertaining to cultivation and other auxiliary qualities.

Feeling the energy coursing through her body and the multicolored anti-matter martial intent, she seemed to understand just how vast the world is with its wonders.

Stepping out of the pool, she faced the cocoon of pure thunderforce as Leonardo's last words echoed in her head, words the former didn't think would have been transmitted.

A complicated light flashed through her eyes. Then, a faint, almost imperceptible smile adorned her face. However, that smile quickly disappeared as she stood up to the side and picked up a set of female white robes Leonardo prepared for her.

After two months, she was already influenced enough to start wearing some decent clothes.

After getting dressed, Wendy sat down lotus-style nearby and began to familiarize herself with the worldly energy, its circulations, and the spiritual energy within the sea of consciousness.
