Chapter 114 Display Of Power

Name:Immortal Kingdoms Author:
"Die!"

That cold voice seemed to cross space-time, change the sky, flip the earth, and strike terror in the hearts of anyone who dared disobey its will and majesty.

As a High Saint, his domain and energy essence has already reached the stage of communicating with law, merging into the world. In fact, if he could find the purest of quintessential energy in the world, advancing to a half-step Divinity would only be a matter of a few decades.

However, each planet in the middle realms has a limited quantity of quintessence to bestow upon its Sovereigns, enough to give them a taste of controlling laws, but not enough for them to comprehend their independent laws and construct their personal minor dimensions.

However, everything has both an upside and a downside.

Each planet's Sovereign would be able to use their full powers only within the protection of a planet's atmospheric membrane. On the other hand, High Saints aren't limited to their home planet, allowing them to display their full power whenever and wherever they are.

"Careful! Protect the children!"

Patriarch Ye shouted loudly, his eyes growing red.

Almost every tribe leader-level character was already in this mayhem of a battle, and their promising hot-blooded young warriors had also followed after them to defend their homes.

Patriarch Ye already realized that attacking these people might have been a mistake as they didn't seem like they had any interest in this place's secrets.

Powerful explosions echoed as men and women of unimaginable physical prowess rushed in as an iron wall to block the fall of that sword.

Patriarch Ye wanted to rush in as well, but a third-cycle saint who seemed to acknowledge Patriarch Ye as the leader of the group rushed in to intercept the man.

A dense and cold blizzard erupted from the saint's domain as all types of weapons constructed from frozen worldly energy came crashing down on Patriarch Ye, infuriating the man.

His bone broadswords hacked all around like a fierce orbit of death, each strike shattering the sound barrier from the explosive acceleration of his powerful arms, but what caused him stress was the fact that these shards of ice would cling to his body, accumulating by the second.

"Patriarch!"

"Tribe Leader!"

"Father!"

Splash!

The sword strike was like a scythe from the reaper as the bone spears, sabers, and broadswords were blasted to bits, much like their holders as their bodies exploded into a mist of blood and torn limbs.

The young warriors watched with horror as one tribe leader-level character died one after the next in an attempt to block the sword condensed from worldly energy and sharp sword intent.

Patriarch Ye roared furiously as his muscles bulged, the chunks of ice on his joints cracking, skin splitting, and his boiling hot blood seemed to melt the ice as he turned tail and rushed into the distance.

"Trying to run? Keep dreaming!"

The third cycle saint's eyes grew sharp as he unstrapped a bow off his back. The bow was silver white, countless runes lit up on its surface as a cold ice arrow condensed from worldly energy on the string.

Patriarch Ye could sense a mortal danger wash over his body, but he ignored his instincts and rushed head-first into the barrier with his bare hands punching out.

The saint's eyes were glowing with ridicule as he tugged hard on the arrow, ignoring the desperate cries that drowned out the thunder all around as he pulled the bowstring to a full moon, space-twisting and freezing on the arrow's tip.

He wanted to wait until Patriarch Ye smashed his fist into the barrier and depleted his accumulated energy to make sure he had no chance of dodging this arrow strike whatsoever. If he killed their leader with one blow, this might utterly destroy their morale and abolish any thoughts of resistance.

Come on! Come on! Come on!

The saint's excitement grew but his expression turned colder and colder, an unprecedented calm overtaking his senses.

In that moment of absolute, ruthless calm, his heart suddenly skipped a beat as a sensation of absolute death washed over him out of nowhere.

Shocked, the saint broke out into cold sweat as he instinctively turned around and began to look frantically in every direction, only for this sense of danger to grow exponentially by the second.

Just as Patriarch Ye was surprised that the sensation of being locked on mysteriously disappeared, he witnessed a scene he would never forget in his lifetime.

An entire moon in the sky was crashing down like a collapsing mountain.

The moon smashed into the barrier silently.

This barrier that could block the lightning bolts of the thunderstorm ring, that they couldn't even dent in the slightest, was instantly shattered as though it was a film of thin paper when colliding with this silver moon.

At this point, the third-cycle saint also noticed the weird moon in the sky, finally narrowing down the source of his unease. In front of this moon the size of a mountain, he felt as though nowhere could hide and protect him.

However, just as he thought death was at hand, an incomparably sharp sword seemed to cross space-time to strike the silver moon.

The silver moon seemed to lag slightly in the sky. Then, cracks spread across its surface, following which was a brilliant explosion of silver light that washed over the entire battlefield.

At first, everything seemed incredibly normal. Everyone stared blankly at the phenomenon of a mountain-sized moon crashing into a mountain-sized sword, then a drizzle of silver light rained down on the entire battlefield.

Only the hot-blooded young warriors who were already blinded by hate didn't pause to notice the sudden shift in the atmosphere of the battlefield, rushing past their sliced and diced honorable elders, their blood had yet to run cold on the dry lands.

"AHH!"

A second-cycle saint was easily cut in two by a powerful blow from a furious young female warrior. She was momentarily dazed as she hadn't expected her to strike to actually kill someone.

That miserable scream was particularly attention-grabbing on this silent battlefield.

Very quickly, everyone came to realize that the speckles of silver light had actually disturbed the circulation of worldly energy and domains of the saints on the battlefield, which resulted in their battle prowess dropping precipitately.

However, that wasn't all.

Rumbling that sent shivers down everyone's spine echoed far and near. Then, lightning descended like a hailstorm, striking the dazed saints out of their shock and fear and drowning them in a sea of pain.

The tables turned on the invaders like the flipping of a book, catching everyone other than the youngsters with red eyes and boiling hatred in a trance.

The most shocked of them all was Patriarch Ye who stared blankly at the young man in white robes in front of him.

He didn't know what changed exactly but he could tell that something about Leonardo changed, including but not limited to his long silver hair that now stretched to his waist.

At this moment, Leonardo was holding the hilt of a sword sheathed inside an old rustic scabbard that seemed older than time itself. The scabbard was trembling slightly as it blocked the image of a three feet long sword beam, neither of the two advancing or retreating.

However, the sword beam was radiating such a cold and sharp aura that it sent chills down Patriarch Ye's spine.

The earlier silver moon was no other than Leonardo's desolate domain condensed into the image of a moon, while the sword strike infused with the power of law shattered Leonardo's domain, and as it was about to strike through Leonardo's body, he blocked it with Nier's sword.

At that moment, Leonardo had a faint smile on his face while overlooking Patriarch Ye and looked at the middle-aged man who suddenly appeared a few miles behind the Patriarch, his expression cold and indifferent, but a gleam of curiosity could be seen in his deep, profound eyes.

"To think that a high and mighty High Saint like yourself would stoop so low to attack a group of non-cultivators, and a group of children at that," Leonardo clicked his tongue with disappointment, slightly tilting the scabbard to the side before flicking his wrist.

With a light sound of space quacking, the sharp sword beam pierced through over a dozen spacecrafts before silently disappearing between heaven and earth, a chain of explosions in its wake.

The High Saint had an unprecedented solemn expression on his face as he carefully observed Leonardo.

"You must be that Leonardo from the higher realms?"

Other than Patriarch Ye who already knew the truth, the other Patriarchs and Matriarchs who had yet to perish were shocked by the display of power they'd just witnessed from Leonardo.
