West of the Extreme Yin Star, floating in the starry expanse, was a star wreathed in violet lightning.
This Taiyi Sourcecore was fiercely violent, entwined with endless violet lightning serpents. It shone upon the heavens like a colossal ball of lightning.
Its murderous aura was enough to make nearby Sourcecores tremble.
This was the Thunder Punisher Star.
In the Samsara Galaxy, on a Celestial Sourcecore known as the Thunder Punisher Star, the Thunder Devils had founded the Thunder Devil Sect—a renowned devil sect and a nightmare to neighboring worlds.
Even within the Grand Assembly Arena, disciples from other celestial sects felt uneasy.
But during this Grand Assembly of Myriad Sects, those Thunder Devils ignored the food right in front of them and went straight to besiege the Extreme Yin Star.
Now, at the Star Nexus of the thunderous Thunder Punisher Star, about 20 Thunder Devils gathered.
The tallest and roughest among them were Lei Ting's younger brothers, Lei Zhong and Lei Gu. Though they didn't possess Pure Thunder Seeds like Lei Ting, they still had the potential to one day become Heavenly Monarchs.
Their coarse violet hair stood on end, and their skin was thick and tough like crocodile hide. Lightning serpents coiled around the sharp teeth jutting from their lips, making them look ugly and full of murderous intent. They were natural-born hunters.
These Thunder Devils lounged around the Thunder Punisher Parent Flag on the Star Nexus, chatting out of sheer boredom.
"That female Yin Devil probably hasn't tasted a real devil seed. It'd be great to give her a try," Lei Gu chuckled. He was the youngest brother.
"No chance. She's the Supreme Yin Cauldron that the Young Dragon Lord fancies; he wouldn't let us touch a single hair," Lei Zhong replied coldly, displeased.
"I wish we Thunder Devils could join the Heavenly Deity Alliance and be stronger than the Southern Divine Dragon Realm! Then, we wouldn't have to serve the human race." Lei Gu gritted his teeth.
"Keep those thoughts to yourself." Lei Zhong shot his brother a glare.
"Got it." Lei Gu grumbled, looking bored. "No one dares attack the Thunder Punisher Star. Guarding the Parent Flag is dull—I wish I were with our big brother tormenting the women from the Extreme Yin Celestial Realm."
The other Thunder Devils shared this sentiment. They were frustrated at being ordered to stay behind.
Just then, Lei Zhong received a flying talisman.
"It's a message from big bro." Opening it, Lei Zhong's expression turned odd. "He says we should be careful—the slave from the Extreme Yin Star might come to snatch our home?" R
"Huh?" Lei Gu's head rested upon the Heaven Burial Sword Soul as the light of the world faded from his eyes.
He couldn't fathom what had happened. It seemed he had inexplicably died. Apart from the initial lightning strike, he felt no pain. The cut on his neck was frozen smooth, and not a drop of blood fell.
"Lil Gu!"
That furious, piercing cry was the last sound Lei Gu ever heard. It came from his older brother Lei Zhong.
He and the other Thunder Devils watched helplessly as Yun Xiao moved with unparalleled grace. One hand commanded thunder, one foot guided his sword like a snowboarder on snow. He glided past, and the savage Thunder Devils were beheaded, their corpses resembling works of art.
As Lei Zhong roared in anger, Yun Xiao pressed his sword downward in midair. The blade's tip lifted high like a dragon raising its head, and Yun Xiao's posture soared even higher. His prominent nose and calm, disdainful gaze stood in stark contrast to his identity as a celestial slave—a difference as vast as heaven and earth.
He didn't pause. He continued sword-riding, skiing through an invisible world of ice and snow, drifting unpredictably toward the group of Thunder Devils.
Indeed, this Sovereign Sword art was called Snow Feather Flight—a supremely elegant technique from the Harmony Divine Palace. It was categorized in the Burying Heaven grade, beyond the reach of any disciple.
Not only did Yun Xiao perform it, but he did so with effortless ease. His grace was unparalleled, as if the entire battlefield was his snowy playground.
He wasn't killing; he was reveling in the snow.
Outside the Thunder Punisher Star Barrier, the white-haired, pink-eyed Si Ji watched Yun Xiao's lofty and elegant display, rendered speechless.
The young man in flowing white robes commanded thunder of immense power. His sword traversed heaven and earth, gliding smoothly like a fish. Wherever his six-foot Sovereign Sword passed, the heads of the Thunder Devils inexplicably hung upon it, as if he were picking flowers during his snowy glide.
"I surrender! Spare me!"
When Lei Zhong witnessed this terrifying yet breathtaking scene, all his ferocity and brutality vanished. Clamping his legs together, he trembled and knelt before Yun Xiao, unable to fathom how this celestial slave had become so powerful. All he wanted now was to live.
But as he knelt, Yun Xiao glided past his head, sending his large skull flying. The cut on his neck remained intact, instantly frozen, without a drop of blood spilled.
WHOOSH! After finishing off Lei Zhong, the entire Thunder Punisher Star Barrier gradually returned to silence. The Parent Flag at the Star Nexus, now undefended, appeared before Yun Xiao.
He slowly came to a halt, looking like he was actually picking flowers by the roadside. Then, he casually plucked the Thunder Punisher Parent Flag and tossed down the Extreme Yin Child Flag.
As Yun Xiao turned and flew away, the Thunder Punisher Star Barrier behind him underwent a fundamental transformation. A perfect replica of the Extreme Yin Star Barrier emerged in his wake. Only then could one truly see the tracks of his sword upon the snowy expanse.
Afterwards, the heads of the 20 Thunder Devils collided amidst the swirling snow, slowly arranging themselves into a single name—Yun Xiao.
