Chapter 51: Jinx in the diary - 2

"Boom!" Crashing on a wall, Neville fell down like a broken dummy. He felt like a truck had rammed on his chest. To be honest, this was the toughest attack on his body till now. If he was a sleek or thin guy, his bones would have been crushed just by the impact alone.

"AAAH!" Groaning painfully, Neville tried to get up, but he failed and fell down on the floor again. He tried to take deep breaths to maintain his sanity and applied Occlumency to block all emotions affecting him.

He needed to have a clear head if he wants to cure himself.

"FUCK!!" Cursing himself for such a blatant show of stupidity, Nev somehow managed to grab the chair in the study room and dragged himself up.

Neville knew he was in big trouble. His body was injured in multiple places. His head was bleeding and every time, he would try to breathe, his chest will hurt.

"Where is my wand!?" Neville tried to focus on his wand, but he couldn't remember where it fell after he hit the wall. He cast the spell - The Summoning Charm (Accio) nonverbally and focused on his wand and it flew directly into his open hands from one corner of the room.

He applied the healing charm he knew but healing charms were not something he ever practised or even learned properly. So the best he could do was fix his broken ribs and stop the bleeding from his head.

However just as he managed to fix his head, the jinx started to run a rampage inside his magical reserve. The pain was immense, and he immediately lost all his strength and fell down on his knees hugging his chest tightly.

"Winny?" He shouted with all his strength.

"Yes, Master?" Winny apparated directly inside the study room and found the horrific situation of her master who was hurt and bleeding.

"Master, Masterwait..." Winny panicked for a few seconds before using her magic to stop the jinx from spreading inside his body.

Neville finally felt some relief and he gestured for Winny to come closer to him.

"Potions room. Now!" He could only say these few sentences before Winny apparated with him directly inside the potions room.

Thinking these thoughts, he used all his willpower to not focus on the pain in his body and look carefully at this Elf. The mind must be distracted and focused to avoid losing consciousness at the key time.

"MasterMaster check now, master?" Winny suddenly ran towards him after grabbing the vial of freshly made potion. It took her no less than a half-hour, but she did manage to concoct this thing.

A potion made with the blood of Dragon, the powdered horn of Unicorn, Dittany and Moondrew flower juices plus some Flobberworm Mucus. This has to be an original recipe as no one was rich enough or brave enough to hurt a dragon and used its blood in a potion.

After shaking the potion thoroughly, he opened the cork and took a whisp of a very faint scent that bought him great relief inside his chest and calmed down the throbbing pain in his head. This blood-red potion was surely the best possible Healing Potion anyone can think of after being attacked by the Dark Magic.

Grabbing the vial, he used a dropper to put a single drop inside his mouth and then another and then another. It was just after the third drop, that the uneasiness inside his body disappeared.

"Amazing. It works! HA HA HA. Laughing in joy Neville forgot the pain in his body before his laughter was cut short by the spike in the pain from his chest area. That was surely from a broken rib.

The jinx was gone but the physical damage was still there.

"I guess I need to sleep this off otherwise the chest will hurt if I move too much."

Thinking this, Neville

"Winny, two things

First, collect this potion in different vials and store them safely. Also, write down the entire process. The ingredients and their importance. Don't miss a single detail. This is the first healing potion we have made and If I am going to sell it, I must first get a Ministry Proof of this potion belonging to us, the Longbottoms.

Second, bring my lunch inside my room. I am going to take an afternoon nap.

Finally, not a single word to Nan. Okay. She is already old, and you don't want to hurt the old mistress. Right?"

Using an overly loyal House-elf, Neville managed to keep this jinx incident under wraps. He apparated inside his room and looked back in the mirror. His body was back to normal with no signs of any attack.
