Chapter 322: The 7th Demonstar, Malakar

......

SHING!

After narrowly dodging the strike of a blade with a head swerve, Azmodeus returned his head back to where it just was.

Feeling the irritation of the leader who missed his beheading attack, Azmodeus said, "Sorry, bro. If I knew it would make you this mad, I would've let you cut off a hair strand or something. Haircuts are quite nice every once in a while, umu!" Bobbing his head a little, he stuck his finger in the air, planning to use it to further accentuate his point.

However, the moment his finger gained some airtime, the Captain of the 97th Squadron Demon Vanquishers once again slashed out with his longsword.

SHING!

This time, the Captain put the full force of the 3rd Order Low-Multiversal Realm into his attack!

"Ho?" Feeling the immense rage put behind the incoming attack, Azmodeus became serious.

Or not...

Making use of both his extended pointer finger and thumb, he gently grabbed the edge of the immensely powerful blade. Watching as the force of the attack was dispersed with ease, he lifted up the blade, subsequently causing the Captain to gain some airtime himself.

"!?!?" "!?!?" "!?!?"

The rest of the members of the 97th Demon Vanquisher Squadron looked toward their captain, only to see him flash from the sky to the ground!

BANG!

With irresistible force, the 97th Demon Vanquisher Captain had his body pulled to the ground. Then, with the smashing of his face into the blood-red dirt, he lost consciousness!

Looking at the froth leaking from the mouth of their captain, the other 97th Demon Vanquishers attempted to penetrate the body of the humanoid demon!

CLANG! CLANG!

FWIP!

Appearing from a secret layer of the void, a semi-humanoid in Butler attire immediately hit the top of the giant demon's head with a thud.

"There have been a number of Demon Legions that have gone missing in the outer regions over the last few hours," he said respectfully. "And from what the Intel details, the cause of their deaths did not originate from any mortal techniques. On the contrary, there are even slight traces of demonic energy in the vicinity of every attack."

Hearing the report put Malakar in a state of deep thought. But after a moment to digest this information, he asked, "Highest cultivation of this 'Potential Demonstar's' kills?"

Pulling out a spreadsheet created from some unknown demonic substance, the High-Multiversal Realm butler demon said, "From the most recent reports, one of your kindred in the 1st Order High-Multiversal Realm has just fallen under the blade of this unknown killer."

Seemingly unresponsive to this information, Malakar said, "If that is the limit of his strength, then have a few of my generals go and get rid of this annoyance. While this is being accomplished, I still have a meeting to attend." Turning away from the butler, Malakar suddenly remembered something; thus, he swiveled his head back toward the butler.

His face morphed from an oddly handsome and refined one to something far more sinister. Then, with killing intent practically erupting from every fiber of his being, he said, "Don't tell the other Demonstars of the potential Demonstar, and under no circumstances are you allowed to fuck this up. Is that understood...?"

As if his earlier terrifying appearance were all just an illusion, his complete indifference came back in full and he returned to sipping on a bloody substance.

Looking out at the rapidly flashing scenery as the giant demon traversed the mountains, Malakar was clearly expecting his butler to catch the hint and take a hike.

Thankfully, the butler was of above-average intelligence. Therefore, he faded back into a layer of the void.

Thereafter, Malakar was allowed to sit on his mount and meander around in his own thoughts.

Thoughts.

For Immortal Demonspawn, it was something utterly dominated by the inherent urge to spread their plague-like curse to all of existence.

Although those in the 1st Order through Half-Step Half Immortal Realm were able to formulate coherent thoughts. In the end, all those thoughts were there just to lead up to the final goal of creating more of their kind and destroying everything in existence.

Like mental patients with the strength necessary to rule the world, the Demonstars utilized their mental illnesses in order to command their subordinates to do whatever was necessary to reach the end of... everything...
