Chapter 43 Team Battle (1)

In the big stadium filled with many people, the announcer was enthusiastic as always. He officially announced the Team Battle round.

Team Battle, a battle, it's like a battle royal game. This doesn't take in this small stadium but in the open forest.

"Our esteem guest, the emperor himself will use the great space magic. Academy's head will support the emperor and open a portal to the Great Forest of Battle. That is a forest created by the spell that our esteem honored mages have created."

The announcer took a deep breath.

"So, rules of team battle are simple. There should be no cheating. The cheating includes magic items, potions, and even any pets or familiars, not any of them are allowed. You should be aware, that you are being watched every second.

Second, one party can't team up with another party. If two parties team up, they both will be disqualified.

Third, the team members should be near a 100m radius. If any team members wander further from each other, the team will be disqualified.

This match is for us to see your teamwork, how you make decisions and how will you co-operate. Now, you guys have the right to team up yourself. Find a member of your team and choose a leader. The time is only 1 hour."

In the crowd, Allen was alone. He didn't know many people from his own academy. But thankfully, the team should only include up to 5 members.

And he got a team pretty easily.

"Yo, Allen." Jin, the muscular guy walked toward him with his old friendly smile. Two ladies walked toward him. Mina and Rena trotted near Allen and joined.

"So, we four will form a team?" Allen asked.

"Yeah."

"Yeah."

"Yeah."

The three of them nodded. They had seen Allen's power and how he is a master of space spells. Not to mention, he showed mastery in fire magic too.

While others may think of him as normal since he is the only tier 4. But for them, they know he can be a good teammate.

"Now, we lack one member."

Allen frowned. But he didn't have to wander around to search for a teammate as heaven has blessed him today.

A guy walked toward them. He looked shy and his hands were shaking.

"C-C-C-Can I-I j-jo-joo-join your team!"

The guy seemed to be desperate as he bowed his head.

The guy didn't look that special. His face was average, he was slim and looked weak. From his aura, he seemed to be a tier 4 mage.

"Sure, we were short of one anyway. Anyone, any complains?"

""No.""

"So, welcome to the team."

"T-Thank you."

The guy bowed his head repeatedly like how birds peck their food.

"What's your name?"

Jin walked toward that guy and wrapped his hand around his neck.

"R-Ruhan."

"Nice. I am Jin."

"I am Allen."

"I am Mina."

"I am R-Rena."

After the introduction ceremony ended, the squad of five members held their first meeting.

Topic of the meeting - Who will be the Captain?

"Now, as our team is formed. Who will be the captain?" Mina asked.

"Not me." Allen stepped back. He didn't want to lead others since he is bad at that.

"I-I can't too," Ruhan said with his head lowered.

"I can't too..." Rena said softly.

"Then, I will." Jin raised his hand. He seemed to be the best candidate for the leader as he is social like heck.

"Ok, any complains?" Mina asked.

Everybody shook their head.

Topic for the second meeting - What will be the team name?

"Now that we have a team and leader, what will we put the team's name?" Allen stated.

"Name?" Mina thought.

"How about, Phoneix Guys" Jin put his recommendation.

"Phoneix Guys sounds kinda...weird. And we are girls, not guys, so rejected." Mina didn't waste a second rejecting that name.

"H-How about, Special Team" Ruhan told his idea.

"It sounds bland." This time Allen rejected it.

"Hmm..." Rena thought. "Then, how about... The Unstoppable Crew"

"The names sound kind of cool." Mina nodded with satisfaction.

"I have no complaints." Jin also nodded.

"T-The name is good." Ruhan smiled.

Only Allen's suggestion was left.
