Chapter 276: The Pillars Of Justice

Perion's head fell to the ground for a second time, not fully reattached from the initial attack. His neck bones were crushed into a fine powder, and he was bleeding profusely, but for some reason he wasn't dead!

William's Life Sense told him that the man still had a strong trace of vitality, which meant he was only slightly injured!

Three more Space Rings shattered, the powder from Perion's neck regathering and forming bones, while the head reattached itself again. The second Ring had a second use and casted another barrier around Perion's body before the ring shattered, just as the shockwave from a third Ring spread within a radius of five kilometers.

The walls of Blue Moon City for a dozen kilometers shook, cracks forming on their surface from the battle in the sky. Many weaker Cultivators in the area were slammed to the ground by the force of Perion's third Ring, while others scrambled to safety from just outside its range.

Gunther raised a dome of Ice to protect his group from the shockwave, but it only lasted for a brief moment before shattering. The icy shrapnel fell on the group, causing a few light injuries that Charlotte rushed to heal.

"Let's get out of here!" Carl yelled out as he dug a tunnel with the Earth Element. The rest followed suit while Gunther reinforced Carl's tunnel from the back, delving hundreds of meters underground.

William's Vision Talent allowed him to see almost everything happening on the battlefield at once, so he naturally noticed his friends leaving the area. He flashed to Perion's side with the Space Element, striking down with his hammer for a second time.

Perion launched a weak Light Spell at William to distract him, then dodged to the side while William's hammer was still raised high. This turned out to be a grave mistake, since the Time-Slowing effect from the Reflexes Talent kicked in, giving him plenty of time to see what the man was trying to do.

William didn't bother to dodge the Light Spell and allowed it to hit him, the Mana seeping into his Cloak and slightly damaging the Arrays. The angle of his swing changed, the hammer following Perion like a heat-seeking missile and slamming on his barriers with extreme precision.

Both barriers shattered, but William wasn't aiming for Perion's head this time. It was obvious that the man had many life-saving treasures on him, so this time the hammer smashed Perion's right hand that hadn't used any Space Rings, destroying nine in the process.

Perion's eyes turned red with anger and regret as his most expensive treasures were destroyed in a single hit. His left hand only had five Space Rings, but they were set to only trigger after his life was threatened.

The bracelet lit up, shooting a beam of light into the sky and far out of William's view. This pillar was so tall that it could be seen from across the entire Far West Forest Region!

Commoners, Nobles, Cultivators, and even branches of the Yu Royal Family could clearly see the blinding yellowish-white light that gave off the aura of a Tribulation Transcendence Cultivator.

William saw a slight fluctuation of Space Mana a hundred kilometers in the distance, then watched as a figure stepped out of the portal and entered a second one that reached Perion's side.

The newcomer's Mana signature suggested he possessed both the Space and Time Elements, as well as the Plant Element. His Cultivation was even in the second stage of the Tribulation Transcendence Realm, most likely having just broken through to the second stage just recently.

But that wasn't what bothered William. Even as the person opened up a series of portals that sent four more Soul Formation Cultivators to the battlefield, William remained still as he evaluated the man before him very carefully.

"Sect Master Gu, I didn't expect to see you so soon." William said solemnly.

"Disciple William. You've become quite troublesome recently. Perhaps you should turn yourself in and we can settle things without risking the lives of... innocents." Gu Dianlong waved his hand as another portal appeared, dragging William's friends from the Sect out from underground.

Carl, Yuming, Filipe, Gunther, Tia, and Charlotte. All six of them were thrown out of the portal to the ground, then restrained by one of the four Soul Formation Cultivators nearby. Everything had happened so fast that their senses were still dull from the effects of the teleportation.

"You don't have to do this." William said seriously as he looked at Gu Dianlong's chest area.

While it was concealed under his clothes and couldn't be seen by anyone else, William could clearly see with his Mana Mode that there was an Array on his right shoulder, just like the one he wore while in the Gravitas Ruins.

The Sect Master noticed the direction of William's gaze and shook his head, "You already know that I have no choice."
