Chapter 361 World Suppression Formation

"Since you understand your situation, I suggest you make your choice now. Ascend or die." Anula's voice sounded from everywhere all at once, spinning around William in the same direction as the spatial vortex he was trapped in. Stay updated via empire

"Hmm. How about no?" William smiled as his Soul Strength continued to grow. The feeling in his soul had become almost unbearable, to the point that his soul took the initiative to condense a little on its own.

-Your Soul-Sapping Necrotoxin is in effect: +1 Soul Strength

-Killed a human: +5 PP

-Killed a human: +5 PP

-Your Soul-Sapping Necrotoxin is in effect: +1 Soul Strength

-Killed...

-The Leader of the Thieves' Guild is severely injured.

-Your Soul-Sapping Necrotoxin is in effect: +1 Soul Strength

-Killed a human: +5 PP

The messages slowed down dramatically as a wave of death notifications entered William's view. There was only one remaining message that ticked every two seconds, but that only lasted for half a minute before that too ended abruptly.

-The Leader of the Thieves' Guild has perished. +5 PP

-Soul Strength: 116700

Why the unique message, System? Do I get extra benefits from killing important people?

-No. I just thought you should know.

Ah...

"As you wish." Anula's voice sounded, before a series of Magic Spells breached the light as if it were nothing and landed on William's body. Their effects seemed enhanced compared to before and caused slight damage to William, likely a combination attack from multiple Cultivators.

-Recovery Talent's source has been cut off.

-Collateral Damage Talent's source has been cut off.

-Stealth Talent's source has been cut off.

While it was only five Talents, and none specifically related to William's defensive ability, the most jarring was the loss of his Recovery Talent. If he ran out of Mana, William would have no other way to recover!

System, what happened?

-Your Talents don't come from nowhere. Your opponent has discerned the source of your Talents and cut them off temporarily. If you cannot break their Formation, you will not be able to use any of these abilities for the time being.

What?! William thought back to when he was in the Gravitas Ruins, when one of Riyald's trials cut off his Forcefield Talent. Was this the same thing?

Either way, things weren't looking good.

On Anula's end, William's previously suppressed aura was released all at once. His Nascent Soul Cultivation was revealed first for all to see, but that wasn't nearly as terrifying as everything else.

William's Soul Strength became an overbearing aura that silenced all present, as if they had met with an otherworldly ghost that could steal their very being with nothing but a thought. The Tribulation Transcendence Cultivators with weaker Soul Strength coughed and choked, unable to breathe properly in the current situation.

William's Elemental Aura burst forth in waves, starting with the basic Elements. Many felt overwhelmed by the Domain-equivalent Magic that fought with the suppression of their mimicked Reverse Domains, while the few that weren't suppressed showed their full prowess.

The Rare Elements came next, the X-Rank Life and Poison Elements showing first. It was obvious to the Cultivators that these two Elements were both above the Domain level, at the mythological Territory-level.

Scared shitless, the weakest Tribulation Transcendence Cultivator passed out directly, unable to withstand William's combined overpowering auras. Two more followed as soon as the Blessing and Curse Elements were revealed, becoming the straw that broke the camel's back.

Before they could even experience the Epic Elements, all of the Cultivators aside from Anula were unconscious, the World Suppression Formation unraveling on its own and restoring William's use of his Talents.

Additionally, the triple Fusion Spell that was fueling the vortex stopped, allowing William to see his surroundings clearly.

Oh, they're back. I guess I had no reason to be worried after all. William smiled as he scanned his surroundings. His opponents had all passed out, and the only remaining enemy was Anula, who had soiled herself at some point.

"Y-You..." Anula sputtered as she tried to regain her footing. She was incredibly embarrassed, but there was nothing she could do about her current situation.
