The scene transformed and William was no longer inside Vivax's body, rather spectating the region from above. His body felt like a cloud, floating along passively as events unfolded below.
Weather shifted and time sped up by multiple times as William watched the progression of the Dragon Continent. Flame Dragon Uri left with Riyald and went on his own, while another generation of dragons was born a few decades afterwards.
Decades passed, then a hundred, followed by roughly a thousand years. In this time, Vivax Ascended to the next Realm, while Validus remained on the Dragon Continent and honed his strength further.
His Cultivation was at the peak of the Tribulation Transcendence Realm, but Validus held back from Ascending for as long as possible. His Dragon Fire had become an unstoppable force on the Dragon Continent, with power easily breaking into the Ascension Realm.
Even if Riyald were to suppress Validus with Arrays a second time, he wouldn't stand a chance at all. While Validus wanted to go challenge the old man again, he refrained from doing so and continued to focus on his strength. No matter how he felt, Validus planned to do everything in his power to prevent this divination from coming true.
Eventually, the time came. Tens of thousands of kilometers away, on the Azures Continent, dark clouds formed in the sky. Not a single ray of sunlight could be seen amidst the clouds, and endless amounts of Lightning Mana appeared from the second, third, and even fourth layers of space.
While Validus couldn't see all the way to the Azures Continent, something within him sensed the development, an inherent fear building up in his chest.
He looked to the sky nervously, but there were no clouds above the Dragon Continent, so he couldn't explain what he was feeling. He continued through his daily routine like normal, but Validus couldn't help but feel nervous.
Months passed, and the clouds over the Azures Continent thickened and expanded to cover part of the ocean outside it, touching the Tier 6 Arrays on the Continent's edge and corroding them slightly.
The moment the Arrays were weakened, the entire World felt the waves of Mana emanating from the Azures Continent. It was unlike anything anyone had ever seen, and even Validus was left perplexed.
Only when a cloaked figure wearing a pure white mask appeared did the nightmare end for the humans. His aura was perfectly concealed, but William could tell at a glance that this person was not to be trifled with.
It was something about the way he carried himself, and the way he looked at the powerful dragons as if they were mere chickens. He pitied them for being forced into this state, but there was nothing he could do to change the fate of the dragons.
With a wave of his hand, a mysterious Elemental force swept over all the dragons at once, their bodies exploding into clouds of blood that rained over the Providence Zone for half a day. The Cultivators previously forced into a corner were rendered speechless, watching in awe at the god-like figure that saved them with a single move.
The process was incredibly swift, but while the crisis was averted, it filled William's heart with pain. Validus was among the group of dragons wiped out by the Cultivator's Spell, and seeing Validus' hard work all go to waste was saddening, to say the least.
The dragon had spent a thousand years of his life devoted to preventing the divination from coming true, but to no avail. His efforts were useless, unable to defy the gruesome fate set by the Heavens.
The only thing he had accomplished was saving his own grandson from the same end as he and the rest of his Clan. If Validus knew this was how things would end, he probably would have tried to Ascend with Vivax. At least then there would be a chance to meet his grandson again.
Using another unknown Spell, the mysterious Cultivator restored the land to its previous condition. The wasteland that used to be the Hillvire Empire was restored to a series of mountains and hills, while the now-scorched Southern Plains were terraformed into a rocky barrens.
The sunken Far East Mistlands were raised from underwater, while the forests regrew from the earth in an instant. It seemed this unknown Cultivator had quite the attainments in both Earth and Plant Magic, among a few others that William didn't fully understand.
Using the dragons' blood as fertilizer for the region in the center of the Continent, the Cultivator finally developed the Providence Zone to become a prosperous land once more. Peace returned to the Continent, and the Cultivators cheered in support of this unknown individual.
Just when William thought the Ask Function was about to end, time started to roll backwards.
